   Fabulous meal. Limited menu, but food was delicious and very well presented. Service was excellent. Attentive and friendly. Also made a special effort with our desserts with a Happy Birthday chocolate on them for two of us out of the party, as we were celebrating our 50th birthday's. We had booked it for a pre-theatre dinner, but would definitely go back again. Very good value too.

   The space itself is beautiful, high ceilings, gorgeous crown moulding. The food that came was slightly different from what was ordered, perhaps they'd run out of things, which could have been communicated (i.e. the focaccia was in fact regular toast). The service was good overall although a bit slow, and the music was loud and didn't feel like it matched the environment (not the volume but the style).

   Convenient location next to Victoria Station. Our table was booked for mid-afternoon so the restaurant wasn't busy but food service was quite slow. Everyone enjoyed the food and we weren't rushed out when we finished.

   Service was terrible, lovely gentleman took our order for food and drinks and then it went downhill from there. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, once the first glass was poured by the waiter, no one came and checked if we needed a top up, we did that ourselves throughout the meal. During the starter, my plate was nearly taken away and I clearly hadn't finished my starter. After they took our mains away, no one came to offer us a dessert menu, but they offered the next table one. We had to ask for one ourselves. When we asked for the bill, they didn't bring a card machine, so we had to ask for one. Yet when the next table had asked for their bill, they brought one with the bill. We ended up asking for the service charge to be taken off the bill as the service was soo bad, which is sad as the food is good and the portion sizes are of a decent size.

    Great location next to the station and perfect for dinner before the Theatre. Only a few mins walk to Victoria Palace. Tasty food and friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Would go again!

    Lacklustre service, lacking enthusiasm and social engagement, though Becky tried. Food disappointing especially the not so posh prawn cocktail and the insipid chicken Caesar salad. Few customers, contributing to the underwhelming experience.

    Although there was a mix up and the Open Table booking didn’t get through to their system, they found us a table quickly. We all really enjoyed our food. Good attention to keeping our water jug filled - often doesn’t happen. :-)

    We have eaten here before which was excellent. This time the service and ambiance was good but the food was poor. Possibly they have changed their chef? The Clermont Hotel thou is excellent. We will stay there again but eat somewhere else.

    Wrong order came to table for a few people we could see, not just us. All of the staff look very flustered and rushing around (as if they were a person short?) When food came it was hot, but not amazing, just ok. Bar staff were also emptying bins and pushing them through the restaurant, past our table and into the kitchen which was a little off putting. Ambience was lovely and the vibe is there, shame about the service and food quality.

    Great service, fast and friendly! We informed them we were running late for a show and they accommodated us. Would definitely recommend. Food was amazing, it was a shame we could not stay for dessert.

    The wait staff were slow, rude and inattentive. I had to ask for water for the table three times, and they brought out the main courses all at different times 5-10 minutes in between for our group of 7, it was odd. The food and drinks were great.

    We had a Travelzoo Voucher with a 3 course set menu. There was plenty of choice. Chicken Goujons starter was the best we have ever had. The vegetarian curry was very tasty and plenty of it. Service , especially Jeramiah , was excellent.

    Last minute meal quite late for 3 of us. Very pleasant service, efficient food and the biggest prawn and salmon starter my mum had ever seen. Pleasantly surprised by food, ambience and general quality so close to Victoria. Have paid a lot more for a lot less in London.

    We were staying in London for one night stopover before jetting off on our mini-moon to Greece! The Soak was recommended as a top restaurant and bar for ambience and excellent value food of quality. We were not disappointed! We were presented with a complementary glass of bubbly on arrival for our wedding which was a lovely touch. The meal was delicious and filling - we could only manage a main course. The wine was also very reasonably priced for London. We had a delightful experience overall and hope to return someday soon!

    Service was very slow. We had to wait ages to order drinks and it took forever to pay the bill. The drink options are limited and lousy. Won’t be going back.

    Very friendly staff, we were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco as it was our anniversary. We came for an early dinner as we went to see a show, then came back for a couple of drinks as the hotel had given us some tokens to use. Staff made us feel very welcome and relaxed.

    Went to the soak yesterday, the food was outstanding and absolutely delicious! Compliments to the chef, table of 7, we comfortably sat in the round booths. I had the prawn cocktail and seabass and would recommend both!

    Booked pre dinner cocktails at The Soak, we usually go to the Reunion Bar in the Grosvenor Hotel but it appears this bar has superseded it and we liked the look of it online. It has a very nice look and feel to it. Looking at the cocktail menu, the prices appeared good value for the location, however, the size and quality of them was not great. Espresso Martini was weak and Negroni, although nice, was a small measure. This was the same with our 2nd cocktail hence 3 stars.

    Although the refurb at the Soak Bar has made the venue look wonderful, unfortunately the service doesn't match. Arrived at 6pm and venue was pretty quiet so assumed service would be fast. Had to wait 15-20 minutes before someone came over to take a drinks order. Also ordered fries, which when arrived was asked if i'd like any condiments to which i requested ketchup and mayo, which never arrived. If the bar was busy I would completely understand, but when most tables and seats are empty i'm curious to understand why this would have happened.

    Overall it was a very good experience and the staff were lovely however in my opinion the cocktails were not very shaken up on occasions. The food was lovely, filling and really well presented. Would recommend The Soak to my friends and family and will definitely be coming back again.
