Lovely food, nice friendly service highly recommend. Oh and the custard was amazing 👍🏻X
It was a very enjoyable meal with good food and servive
Nice meal with my daughters. Food was good, only thing was I thought that £6.50 for a glass of wine was a bit much.
Traditional pub food for mains - was very nice but nothing unique however dessert was something else - AMAZING- had the Kinder Bueno cheesecake and can honestly say it was the best dessert I have ever tasted. Full price £6.50 but with the “Eat in to help out scheme” only £3.25 - bargain - huge portion-easily buy 1 slice with 2 spoons! Was there visiting family - if I was a lot nearer I would go again because of the desserts.
Bland and boring food, overpriced, poor attempt at pub grub
All was lovely there, but the food was well below standard. Poor presentation, just looked like fried up and chucked on a plate to table. No care and attention given. I wouldnt recommend even with the cheaper prices.
Food was ok but charged £3.50 for some extra cheese! Confusion over the bill as the till did not automatically take 50% off for the ‘eat out to help out’ deal. Left paying more than 50% just to resolve issue ad it was very embarrassing. Someone from the pub did ring me today to say they were dealing with the till issues, which was appreciated.
Lovely food, friendly staff. It was very quiet when we went so decided to eat outside. My burger was a little over cooked but other that it was a good meal out!
Main negative was that we had to wait. long time for both courses. Staff were friendly and food ok. Would still go there again.
Lovely staff, lovely food only thing I would say is my steak was order med well and it came out rare but apart from that food was nice and potion size was massive
A very nice pub, with an extremely friendly and welcoming team and well laid out for ‘social distancing’. Excellent food too and will certainly be visiting again in the future!
Loved the pub and the landlord was very welcoming , friendly .. food was good
We booked a last minute table and I honestly cannot fault. The people serving were both lovely and the food was prompt and hot. Would recommend and will return.
Myself and my daughter had a pleasant early evening meal, everything went well and was served by Julie who looked after us very well.
When we arrived we walked in everything seemed okay and the first thing we are told is they have no roast dinners left, it’s a Sunday and they have no Sunday roasts left, so we sat down and had a look through the menu and found something waited a good half hour for our food and when it came out the portions were a good size but the food it’s self was soggy and practically inedible caused both me and my partner to be sick, and when the bill came we saw the prices of our drinks, keep in mind that I am a diabetic and pregnant so I only had a Diet Coke and it was £2.50 for a poxy glass of coke would not go back here in a hurry
Dirty plate given for sharing platter, cutlery we were initially given back from staters (used) to use for main course, steaks ordered medium rare, overcooked, we were not offered sweets just left to order drinks at the bar and settle the bill - Although they were busy with Xmas meals and we were told there would be half hour delay this did not excuse the above, would prevent us returning for sure
All I can is okay!!
Decent enough menu. Great choice for the kids. Lovely burger. The sausages on the kids menu were kind of expected but not for the regular menu. A better quality, not deep fried sausage would been better. Great choice of draft cider, beer and lager. Toilets were nice and clean too. Lovely service, especially from what seemed to be the manager. (Blonde haired lady)
Unfortunately the charm of this pub has been well and truly lost.... felt we had out stayed our welcome (which was minimal at best) as soon as our meals arrived. Waitresses although attentive with check backs, the approach was not genuine and rather abrupt at times. Having to ask for mayonnaise 3 times because they had ran out of soured cream despite taking an order for beef chilli con carne. It felt as though they couldnt wait to finish their shift and it was an inconvenience that we were there. I am not one to complain usually, however this is the first time in a long time I couldn't wait to leave somewhere because the atmosphere was so terrible. Disappointing and a real shame..
Would only recommend if you wanted just a bar meal.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Food extremely slow having placed the order, even though there was only 6 other customers already eating their meals, on a Saturday evening at 7pm, but the weather was terrible, no atmosphere as to lack of customers probably due to the weather.
Steaks cooked as we requested, very nice good value for money. Plastic multi coloured menu could be improved.
Would happily eat here again.
We tried the Somerset Wagon after not having visited for 3 years for food. The only off putting thing was the strong smell of dog when entering and a dog behind the bar! I love dogs but this did put us off I’m affraid.
Food was ok and service very friendly though.
Had a meal whilst on holiday absolutely spot on pub food nice and hot which is not always what you get.Puddings were smaller than some other places but we're lovely.
Good food, good choice, good service at a good price.
Hi Martin H, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Jess.
Very nice location and a lovely atmosphere, my table of 6 were all served promptly and staff were courteous, everyone enjoyed their food, one of the best burgers I have ever had, and I have eaten at a lot of burger places over the years.
keep it up.

Hi Serge, Thank you for your review. We do have a brilliant team. We hope to welcome you back soon. Jess.
Great local pub with an excellent choice of food (including an extensive vegetarian and vegan range)! Food is great and fantastic prices too! Would definitely recommend.
No frills pub food at a reasonable price level. quiet on a Monday evening so speed of service was quick and efficient.
Great food and the service,if anything, was too quick!
Certainly recommend.
Food (pies) straight out of a packet. Peas only veg. Not what the place used to be, sorry.
The food was lovely and there was plenty of it! I had the lasagne, which was still hot by the time I finished it and the chocolate sundae which was just lush. My friend had the smothered chicken which looked like it was really good and she really enjoyed it. We both had 2 courses and a drink and it came to just under £40, really good value - especially as I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. The pub was quiet when we visited (a sunny day) but welcoming nonetheless, the staff were friendly and attentive. Will be returning. Highly recommended
A lot of noisy drinkers at the bar, over priced menu and my Cajun Chicken was completely bland.
Lovely staff beautiful food
Very quiet for lunchtime, and my main was wrong, which was a surprise, as only two couples in the pub, and the place lacked ambience, as it was empty, so that's why I've scored it a 3 overall. Haven't been to the pub in along time, and don't think I'll be returning any time soon, which is a shame.
Had pie and mash. The pie was very good however the portion of mash was so small that it was only half the size of the pie itself! For £10.95 I would expect a half decent scoop of potato. My wife had the same meal and her portion was identical so this must be just how it is. My daughter had chicken and mash- guess what- same tiny amount of mash. She is only 8 years old but even she felt short changed!
Over all a bit dissappointed
