Had a lovely meal there with one of the Galician cuts of prime rib which we shared. Meat was well cooked and so flavoursome. Had this alongside the blue cheese sauce, truffle fries and rocket and manchego salad. All was really nicely presented and tasted great. Only let down was the Mojo Verde which contained mint. I’ve never had mint in a Mojo Verde before and it was quite overpowering.

The food is amazing! However we were let down as I had inputted to state it was a celebration and called to confirm it was a celebration. We had attended before and my partner loved the spanish filet but they had ran out which was disappointing. However, the food we had was cooked to perfection.

First off took a Glasgow taxi to the establishment, but very hard to find from the street because of no signage from the street and work being done on surrounding buildings. The first thing our server tells us is some BS story about Pelicans and there beef shortage. We couldn't understand all that and why you would start your service off with that BS. Plus she was very unenthusiastic and boring. Everything we asked seemed to annoy she. The menu was hard to understand because certain items were only available as items to be shared and few of those were sold out. Because of this there was a very limited Steaks available. Items were priced based on per 100g, but couldn't ordered what we wanted because they were either share items or not available, which left us 3 choices, so that left the menu very limited. We had to ordered water and bread, which is standard in the states, but no big deal. My wife ordered the octopus with squid and chorizo. Not bad but the squid was chewy, but she thought it was flavorful. I had the sea scallops which were good. Because of what turned out to be the 3 only items available we didn't have share my wife had the Scotch Filet and I had the Scotch sirloin. I thought the Steaks were blah, but my wife enjoyed hers. My sirloin was thin and chewy, but both were flavorful and seared well. The Mac and Cheese along with the truffle fries were good and the desserts were the only redeeming feature of the meal. I had the cheesecake and my wife had the chirros, which I thought were over done and chewy, but she seemed to enjoy. It was a nice and cozy on the inside, but I wouldn't recommend to friends even though prices were reasonable. I'll stick to The Butcher Shop next time. Bon Appétit

Our first time. Everything was explained clearly; all the staff that dealt with us were friendly and efficient. Inside was a bit dark but we aren’t used to the summer sunshine outside! We had the set lunch - started with the padron peppers and some olives. I don’t do peppers usually, these were delicious! We then had the beef and the Abenico Iberico pork. The sauce for the latter was fantastic. The meats were so tasty. We finished with a cheese plate and churros (generous portions for both). The latter were very moreish and not a sign of grease that can sometimes happen. A pricey lunch but it was a special occasion. We’ll be back, when we’ve saved up again.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times over the years and it was one of my favourites hence why I came on Thursday evening having been bought a voucher for my birthday. But I was a little disappointed I have to say, it’s lost a little bit of its atmosphere, the food was good in some parts (the steak as ever was great) but chips that were cool and other dishes were ok. But tbh my main gripe was that we waited from half 7 to 8:45 just to receive our starter which really wasn’t great. Everything seemed quite slow (not that we were in a great rush but by the time my main came out it was so late and I had started to loose my appetite). The waiter did apologise for the delay but to be honest when a table behind us whom the waiter clearly knew well had received starters within 15 minutes of them sitting down it only further soured the experience. Overall even with my significant voucher we were a fair amount over and for that price I would have expected a lot more in terms of quality, experience and overall value. I’m sad as it was as I said one of my favourites but I think there are now for this price point much better quality restaurants available.
