Excellent service from very friendly staff only spoiled by moronic background Christmas music.
Lovely food. Good service. Would recommend. Friendly staff.
The pub was really busy so we had a wait a while for our mains.
It was definitely worth the wait. Two of us had sea bass which was beautiful. One of the best dishes we’ve had in a while.
The lamb rump was beautifully cooked. The portions very generous.
The food, service and ambience were all amazing. Thanks for a great lunch, well worth a revisit.
Food was brought out cold but was actually nice when we got it second time round , drink order took a long time as waiter forgot we had ordered ,
We really enjoyed our visit to the spotted cow. Food was lovely as was the atmosphere and our waitress was very polite.
The food was good and the pub is lovely, but the service could have been better. We were given a very cold greeting on arrival and taken to an unmade table, despite the tables around us being made up beautifully (and they remained empty for the duration of our meal so it’s not as though they were busy). We certainly weren’t made to feel welcome. That said, the food arrived in super quick time and the pizza was lovely! The pudding was amazing!! Definitely go for the food and the setting, but beware of the maitre d!
The staff were lovely and welcoming. We did a two hour walk beforehand and finished at the pub. The pizzas were really good and we’d definitely return.
Fantastic staff & food. 2nd visit this month! Bellissimo
As ever, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Spotted Cow. Thank you!
Excellent food as always and a great evening of friendly cheerful service!
A nice pub with fairly pricey food. Good atmosphere, attentive staff. Could do with a more varied menu.
Great as always. We look forward to the next time
First time in the Spotted Cow for ages, superb food, and the Italian gentleman who served us was very friendly and helpful. We will be back.
A lovely evening out, food and drink quality were excellent and a complimentary Limoncello rounded off the evening perfectly. We had a warm welcome from the team and very attentive service. We'll be back.
We booked the spotted cow for my mums birthday celebration as we had taken her there a few years ago for Mother’s Day and since then said that was the best meal she had ever eaten so we thought we would return.
There were 7 of us and we were put on a square table with a small round table added on. The seat cushions were stained. I had asked for a bottle of Prosecco for the booking but had to ask for this as if they didn’t know.
Some had roast dinners and they had run out of a lot of the extras like cauliflower cheese and honey roasted parsnips.
My nephew asked for a vodka and orange juice and the lady taking the order didn’t know what Vodka was!!
The food wasn’t great either, My husband had bread and olives but the bread was so hard and we had to ask for butter even though it said it came with butter.
My sister ordered a garlic bread for a starter and it was burnt round the edges.
We never got checked on to ask how we were or if we wanted more drinks, we had to keep getting up to order more.
It was a real shame as we had a lovely meal last time but it just felt like they wanted to close up and we were an inconvenience.
Not worth the money at all.
A lovely little find just outside of Farnham. The atmosphere was great; the food, excellent; and the service, superb. The vegan menu is rather limited, but a great place in every other respect.
Lovely pub out in middle of countryside.
All three if us were tempted by the freshly made pizza’s which were lovely with plenty of toppings.
Very friendly service. Will definitely return
The online menu is not the same as the menu offered at the table which was a bit confusing
It was probably a busy time ie Saturday lunchtime but the service was a bit slow at times
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Spotted Cow. The food was delicious as always. Particular highlights were the devilled kidneys and the steak pie. The service was very good. All in all a great evening.
Food and service is top-notch. I would certainly recommend the Spotted Cow and will defiantly be back.
Second visit, absolutely lovely food. Will definitely go again
Great food & service here as always - brilliant pub & restaurant
The food in taste and look was lovely. As much as I don't like lamb this one was done amazing and was soo good. The mint sauce was a five star for me.
However, the pizza wasn't in best shape as it was soggy so the dough in the centre was like too thin and wet because it didn't hold the ingredients in place and everything was falling down once you picked it up and the edge was flapping. Taste was great.
The other thing is that the staff had some argument which as a customer I find unprofessional as I was a witness of this.
AMAIZNG FOOD and service! Will be returning soon!
Good food with prompt service.
Vastly extended outdoor space available which was warm when we arrived thanks to outside heaters. Some people kept coats on during their entire meal but we were fine except near the end of our time there when we started to pull coats back on. I hope this extension can continue to work well in the colder months coming.
Only moved here nine weeks ago and have been to The Spotted Cow several times and love it! In fact was told it was brilliant by a friend who lives 50 miles away when we first bought our cottage and before we moved - so we were prepared to love it already!!! And they weren’t wrong ❤️❤️❤️
Great food in a lovely restaurant. It is the staff that make this place however, proper hospitality at its finest.
Excellent food and service and well looked after throughout...thank you
The service was impeccable - cannot fault the wait staff at all. So attentive and helpful!
The service was really slow and our deserts came out separately. We had to chase up where they were for about 15 mins.
It’s a good pub but perhaps nicer in the summer outside - the garden is great. Inside felt a bit tired / not the nicest decor & poor lighting. Needs a revamp? Veggie Wellington itself was nice but trimmings could have been better. Dessert was good. Service was attentive but a little rushed / distracted.
Felt safe to eat outdoors in the covered headed area, tables spaced apart well.
A group of us ladies have been using the Spotted Cow for lunch for some years now. Despite the restrictions, the service and food was just as good as it has always been.
Good selection of wine and food on offer. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Roast portions were quite small for the price and the quality wasn't bad but wasn't great for the price. We were sat outside but no-one came to check on us. The dinner needed more gravy, never had the opportunity to ask for more. Had to ask for our table to be cleaned as well.
Our party of four dined here last night for the first time and all I can say is wow! The Spotted Cow is set in a stunning location, hidden away not far from Farnham train station. This restaurant has it all, beautiful spaces inside & out. A new external solution with outside bar, ample parking and large garden areas. The food and service was top class from start to finish. Empty plates for all courses and the staff just couldn’t do enough for us. Our drinks seamlessly topped up, I just can’t find any fault with this hidden gem of a restaurant. Cannot wait to return again - the creamy garlic mushrooms were pure heaven!!
We were eating in a party with special dietary requirements, and the choice of food for a gluten-sensitive individual was very poor, despite us forwarding a detailed list of food options 24 hours prior. It's a nice pub with good facilities, but I can't recommend the food unless you are an allergy free omnivore.
There was a large private function going on at the same time with lots of kids running around. We sat outdoors and it was quite pleasant. Clean and tidy.
The food was good, slightly overpriced for what it is but tasty.
I would try again here.
Amazing pub food and really relaxing and lovely eating outside while the children used the fab play area.
We have just discovered this hidden gem and have already been back. Best things are ambience and good.
