   Fabulous food! The whole 3 courses were absolutely incredible….and it’s the kind of food that makes you want to talk about it! If you are a ‘foodie’ you need to go to The Stag Inn. 10/10!

   My wife, Mother-in-Law and I went for Mother's Day Sunday lunch last weekend and the the food and service were absolutely excellent

   We decided to go to the stag inn to celebrate Mother’s Day and we definitely weren’t disappointed , The staff couldn’t do enough for you and the food was amazing , Dan the chef certainly knows what he’s doing 👍 We would highly recommend this establishment for drinks but definitely for the food and a friendly atmosphere.    Excellent food, friendly and efficient service. We asked for a quiet table and we were allocated a lovely table upstairs away from the bar area. The food quality and presentation was excellent but we all felt the choice was a little restricted.

   Hi Michael Thank you for your positive comments. We understand your point with regards to a restricted menu however as you probably are aware we make all our food from scratch and in order to maintain the high standards and consistency we have set (and Dan (Chef) being one man!) we need to keep the menu 'small-ish' at this moment in time. kind regards The Stag Team

   Excellent food. Managed to keep the village pub feel but with elevated atmosphere, food & service. More than one vegetarian option would be great.

   Great experience visiting the Stag Inn, warm welcome from Alex on the bar. Great selection of drinks as always real and craft ales and very nice NZ Sauvignon. Same delicious starters to share as previous visit and more than thoroughly enjoyable again. Main course was a real treat and something we hadn’t tried before. The baked fish was absolutely outstanding and had to say to Sarah how impressive this was. Can’t say enough how much of a gem this local pub is and how lucky we are to have this on the edge of the city of Carlisle but still in the beautiful countryside.
