The criticism we had was the custard was very runny. We all had the roast pork as the main course which we all enjoyed, and the service was very good.

We had the set lunch 2 course or 3 course menu. Great value for money! It was absolutely delicious. Mouthwatering beef dish and my friend had cod. The atmosphere, the staff were all so attentive and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend. Great local pub. Parking when busy isn't the easiest but one can use the roads around if there no free spaces.

Comfortable and friendly pub. Good atmosphere. Service was attentive, happy and helpful. Food good but not outstanding. Car park was full, making parking rather awkward, but sign of a popular pub.

Only been for lunch, when it's been quieter and a really pleasant experience. Staff very attentive and helpful with my less mobile elderly father. Food fabulous, and now trying to come back regularly for lunch. Strongly recommend.

We were interested to see The Star had reopened after being shut for a considerable length of time. This was our first visit and we were very impressed by every aspect of the property, the service and the food. The staff were attentive and charming. We certainly hope to be able to visit again.

I’ve enjoyed visiting in recent months . However the quality of food, service and ambiance all prejudiced by the cost, which was much too high. Our bill for just two of us was over £160 , I’m sorry but that is not acceptable. There is decent competition in Brook and Thursley, beware over pricing. I’m saddened, Martin Patrick

Really delicious food , let down by problems in the kitchen delaying food. The waiter was excellent and compensated and apologised without request. Would definitely go again and hope problems ironed out.

We booked a meal here for our wedding anniversary and were so pleased that we had! The atmosphere was upbeat, the staff and service exceptional and the food and drink utterly delicious! It was a busy evening but there was no hint of stress from the staff who seemed really happy to be working there and it all ran extremely smoothly. Excellent and interesting choice of food which was cooked and presented to perfection. Next time we are in the area we will most definitely be booking again! Thank you staff at The Star for a wonderful evening.

Nicest roast beef I've had in a long time. Generous portions, tasty beef, crispy potatoes, it was perfect. Salt chilli squid was also delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient and worked well together on a busy evening. Good atmosphere. Noise/music was a little loud for me, but they did turn music down. Would definitely go back when next in the area.

This was our first visit to The Star and we were very impressed. The staff were absolutely lovely, very welcoming, friendly and most importantly knew what they were doing and were efficient. The roasts were very very good, generousportion, beef cooked perfectly and loads of vegetables and gravy. The puddings were also absolutely delicious if you have the space! We will definitely be back and highly recommend

Welcoming atmosphere to us adults and children. Games to play while waiting for food, excellent distraction for grandchildren. Roast dinner was excellent albeit could have been bit hotter but well prepared and presented. Generous portion of meat and plenty of vegetables. Children's meals went down without touching the sides. Overall excellent experience.
