    Omg best roast ever. Staff were incredible (only lost one star as there was a large gap between courses and coffee) but I highly recommend. I’m planning when I can come back next.

    Excellent food! The monkfish special was truly delicious. Our server Lily was brilliant - really friendly and highly knowledgeable about the menu.

    I hadn't been to the Star for a while and it was a quiet evening, but we were celebrating a birthday for one of us. We decided to sit outside as it was such a lovely evening and that was no trouble for them. The food was excellent and the service very friendly and efficient and included a small birthday cake. We were using a 20% discount email so the food was also very good value.

    Food was ok. Service was a bit slow and unreliable. Also a billing error that we had to ask to correct so room for improvement.

    Friendly welcome from helpful staff. Excellent food and service. Only downside low ceilings and adjacent noisy table made it difficult to hear my wife and have a conversation !!!

    Had an excellent Sunday roast. Food came very promptly and was probably one of the best roast beefs I have had in a pub.
