The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

    Had a fantastic lunch staff very helpful and attentive food was amazing fantastic portions had the stravaig burger will certainly be back

    Overall, a fantastic evening. A wonderful welcome, fabulous food and service. The only negative thing I would say is that the noise level was rather high, making conversation difficult. This probably isn't something the venue can control.

    Excellent food and service! This is my 3rd time visiting the Stravaig, all at different times of the day and with different friends. The floor staff are all very attentive and efficient. Food is great that all my friends said will bring their friends and family to visit again!

    Portions very uneven - even with same food ordered at same table. Starter 3 goats cheese Bon bons plus some sweet sauce and some cress. No salad. Very hungry for main meal. It was ok. Friend next to me couldn’t eat her chicken as it was completely covered in spicey sauce. She also had a small starter - starters too expensive. Staff very nice.

    Excellent service, all staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the cocktails were super. The restaurant had a great atmosphere.
