Excellent as always. Wishing you all the best at this uncertain time :)
Another lovely meal with great staff and friendly atmosphere during these testing times x
Great atmosphere and food was lovely. Maybe a bigger menu would be beneficial, but no complaints
A warm welcome as usual and nice to see the musician. The food was good though my salmon with crust a little over-cooked. What was a bit odd was to have "the boss" clearing our table as if there was a rush when there were free tables.
Thank you stuffed olive - making a business meeting an extra special event. Excellent food, great service with superb customer service - an all round great night
The food here is amazing with outstanding service. Definitely worth the money. Staff are professional and attentive. Highly recommended!
Returned to the stuffed olive, as always great service and great food.
Very disappointed staff inattentive, fowl smell throughout restaurant
Thanks for your comments - as a note it was made aware that the local water authority was completing work behind the property and this was affecting this entire area of the Wellingborogh Road. This was not a restaurant problem but maintenance to public water works. Whilst it was disappointing - this lasted only a short time that day whilst the work was undertaken. This was something, unfortunately, out of the restaurants control we apologise for any inconvenience.
Food was lovely and service was really good. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again.
New Year’s Eve
Lovely food, cosy atmosphere with the bonus of live entertainment-just have recommended to a friend!
I have already recommended The Stuffed Olive to family that in the area, and we hope to return in good time.
The food was very well presented with imagination and some intricacy, cooked with care and with very good flavoring.
The Staff were very attentive and clearly worked well as a team.
I like to play Guitar, but I am not on the same planet as the musician that was playing throughout the evening... I wonder if he gives lessons... seems like a nice guy and set just the right tone for the dining room - pun intended :-)
When we were first seated it was fairly quiet , the staff were a little too over attentive and we kept getting disturbed every few minutes and asked the same questions multiple times. They were only trying to offer great service but it got a bit annoying.
The food was really nice but we were charged £4 for a few small bits of dry bread and £4 for a Bottle of sparkling water
Lovely food, friendly and helpful, if a little over enthusiastic, staff. Only downside is if you are unlucky enough to be dining when a large, energetic group is in then the noise is unpleasant.
It didn't ruin our visit but it was the reason we ate at pace and left early.
We enjoyed our first visit. The halibut was a bit over cooked but it still remains my favourite fish !
We will return for a less-in-a-hurry [theatre] visit
Chris Horsman and Dr Angela Rushton [the lady who shares your hairdresser !]
Clearly your section below comes from over the water, I.e. some spelling. What is paleo?
Still one of the best restaurants in Northampton
Background music gives very good ambience
Food very well prepared
Service first class
Wine selection excellent
Lovely first time here, they have a great menu for everyone. We had the vegetarian options and they were amazing. Great atmosphere and lovely food. Staff were brilliant too.
Disappointed with meal, service was slow even though there were hardly any diners. Food was mediocre considering the price. Left early and didn't have desert.
We dined early at 7pm in a slowly filling restaurant. The food was good. The soup was excellent, and the red mullet was spectacularly good, with many flavours on the plate; a thoroughly enjoyable dish.
The talented guitarist / singer was sensitive to the atmosphere and played a well-judged selection of songs - a real plus.
It was a special occasion for us (40th Wedding Anniversary) and we were glad we chose the Stuffed Olive.
Friendly, efficient service albeit kn a quiet Friday night. Menu is noticeably varied for those who don’t eat red meat. Food was very tasty and well presented. The stuffed aubergine dish was a particular hit and the sea bass main also delicious. Wines varied and well priced with enough by-the-glass options. Dessert menu particularly unambitious - I’m normally a dessert fiend and couldn’t find anything tempting.
Managed to leave my debit card at the restaurant - received a call within minutes of leaving and rushed back to find a staff member waiting for me at the door. Great service!
Lovely meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening with family. Thank you.
London prices for mediocre food.
Having booked table by window and called to confirm this, was disappointed not to be given table by window. Ordered wine only to be told that particular wine wasn’t available. After choosing another wine, we were told that 2 out of 3 starters we had chosen were not available either as they had run out at 7.30pm in the evening!! Called for manager who didn’t apologise - just rambled on making excuses. What food we had was lovely - just the attention to service could have been better. It was a special occasion and felt let down in many areas.
Absolutely fabulous Really nice food friendly staff really helpful In all really enjoyed it love to go back again
This is my 3rd(and not my last) visit to the Stuffed Olive. As always the food was perfection, amazing service and such a lovely setting with great atmosphere. Guitarist on a Saturday night just sets the tone perfectly. Will be back soon
Very disappointing. Extremely poor service. Expensive for the quality. Won't be back.
The vegetarian option was good (hearty and tasty), though maybe a bit overpriced. Very quiet at lunchtime with very few diners, so the ambience was non existent. Service pleasant. A good place to go for a quiet lunch away from crowds.
The food was amazing.
However the portion weren't the best when you pay a fair amount for each mains.
We also wanted our wine with both starter and mains and it finally came out with the mains after asking twice.
The atmosphere was lovely, but the live guitar music was a little bit to loud at points.
My favourite restaurant in Northampton. The food is always good here. The service was excellent. I struggle to pick something from each course on the menu as I’d love it all!
It’s also one of the few places that still has Muscadet, which we really enjoy, on their wine list
Amazing food, prices are a little high but worth it for the food! Great atmosphere in the restaurant too with good service
Love this place. Been many times, and the ever changing menu keeps it fresh, good vegetarian selection too.
Some of the food was cold and a bit underwhelming. The restaurant was empty so didn’t have a good atmosphere.
Very disappointed. Having eaten there before I was looking forward to returning with my husband but after dinner Friday night I wouldn’t go back again . Starters were pretentious (4 prawns at roughly £2.50 a prawn !) don’t mind paying for good food but all I could taste was the chilli oil ! My husband ordered the lamb which he enjoyed however I had to send my fillet bs k as it was over cooked , the waiter told me the chef said the lights in the restaurant might make it look that way !!! The re-fire was cold and quality of both steaks were poor . We left quickly and quietly .
Limited choice on menu but great food done very well
Good vibe with acoustic guitar played in background
We took my mum for lunch on Sunday - the food was lovely and we enjoyed the complimentary glass of prosecco. Sadly, the restaurant was almost empty.
Easily the best restaurant in Northampton, food was amazing and the restaurant is great with great staff.
A charming restaurant, intimate and nicely set out. Decorated tastefully.
Attentive staff and great varied menu which is good value for money
We will be back !
Food was wonderful, atmosphere was lovely. We had a great evening! Thank you!
Having never been to the Stuffed Olive before, but having heard great things, we had high expectations of our visit.....and we weren’t disappointed. We were met with a smile and escorted to our table.
The food was amazing and was washed down with a lovely wine (chosen from an extensive list). There was no one rushing us through, and it felt like we had all the time we wanted at our table.
Overall a fab night at a great restaurant.
