   Ok food My wife had the chicken pie which she said was very nice. I had the fish and chips which was pretty average. On the whole ok nothing to write home about but not bad!

   First time but will come back again nice to see you have rooms as were 30 mins away x staff all lovely and friendly x

   We had a lovely meal, the food was excellent. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well looked after. We would highly recommend to friends and family and have now found our new favourite pub.

   Sunday lunch with friends. Can be noisy as it’s very busy. Very generous portions, good choice of meats. Will return.

   I love this pub. Been going regularly for at least 15 years. Will continue to enjoy the company of my friends over wonder food in beautiful surroundings.

   The Asparagus soup follow by chicken pie superb Monk fish tempura Calves liver and bacon (wife) Both superb Great service cannot fault anything Set in a beautiful village

   My wife had the minted lamb. It did not say that there were peas, lots of peas, in the dish otherwise she would not have oredered it so a fuller description would be appropriate. The dish also came with too much liquid/gravy such that she was swimming around in the dish to find the lamb and as a result the dauphinois potato topping wsa not crispy. It tasted lovely but these details detracted from a 5* rating. I had the chicken, pork and mushroom pie. I was happier with mine but the pastry was a little thick and therefore softer than i would have ideally liked. My wife had the pannacotta and rhubarb and felt that this was the highlight of the meal.

    Very nice food but the table we had was in a rather dark corner which was a pity. Overall a very enjoyable evening spoiled only by a group of very noisy children whose parents cared nothing for the other patrons and seemed to egg them to even more screeching. Service was pleasant but we didn't get the bottle of wine we had ordered until after our starters
