Celebrated my husband's 60th Birthday. We had the beef wellington for our main course and it was perfectly cooked. The chef came out to meet us which was a great personal touch.
The waiting staff were attentive but discreet and the pacing of the service was great - not too rushed and allowed to enjoy the everything at a relaxed pace. After our starter and main we were too full to sample desert!
Would definitely recommend here for a special occasion.

We very much enjoyed our visit. The food is first class & the menu very interesting. the food is well presented & Covid measured are well managed.
I do understand the whole thing about the occasion & taking time to enjoy the experience but our booking was for 7pm but we didn't actually eat until after 8pm. It appeared as if most of the tables were timed for 7pm. Its a small gripe. We would definitely go again.

A nice looking restaurant with friendly staff. Service pretty slow. Starters were ok, but due to how long it took for them to arrive (smoked salmon & chicken liver terrine) we ended up longing for more bread! Decided to spoil ourselves with the beef wellington £58 for 2. We were presented with pretty small portions, both overcooked. Very disappointing. Best item on the plate - carrots. Delicious! Staff accepted criticism of beef, with chef admitting he knew it was over cooked but it was very late in the evening to make another......we received a complimentary glass of port and went on our way. Sadly , we won’t be going back too soon.

The food was great, fresh and local ingredients were used.

The only down side was the wine as there was no information about the types of wine they had.

Whilst the food was excellent, the service was terrible. After two hours we had only been served starters & had to adjust our taxi collection time. One of the starters were wrong &, although easily corrected, the manner in which it was handled was far from polite.
