   Have just returned from an evening dining and drinking at The Tapas Room in Deptford! I can honestly say that this is such a hidden gem! Everything about our evening was perfect, the atmosphere, the wine and the amazing food! We are so happy that we found you!!!! 1,000,000% recommend this gorgeous little hide away!

   Blustery night; stacked chairs and empty boxes outside unwelcoming; waiter with baseball cap on backwards set the slack service tone. Only ones there but had to ask three times for our drinks which arrived after food. Did not have various advertised drinks and blamed supplier, no apology. Unattentive so always had to attract waiter attention. Food all good aside from desperately oversalted cod.

   We sat outside in the late summer sunshine and enjoyed the bustling Saturday lunchtime atmosphere. The food was delicious and our server was charming and very knowledgable about the sherries and wine on offer. A great place for my son and I to catch up, thank you for a lovely lunch.

   This place used to be really great food, ambience and yum wine. Sadly this time round food didn’t hit the mark apart from the Hake. All a bit too salty and average the chorizo was super soggy and although we did eat it as we were hungry the texture was off. We were in a cold outdoor spot where the heater was off l, so didn’t feel like part of restaurant. Perhaps candles, heating, music to make it feel more cosy. We are locals and will be back because we like the team behind it but wanted to give so constructive feedback. The lady serving us was nice and the wine always hits the mark. The bill was £80 which felt expensive for the surroundings.

    We love visiting this little restaurant in Deptford Market Yard. The staff are always very friendly and happy to make suggestions. The wine is always delicious, and when there is nice weather, there are outside tables to sit at. The Market Yard in general is a great place to visit - craft beer, cocktails, food and a great record store.

    We’d been to the tapas room in Deptford before and were looking forward to returning. But sadly this visit was disappointing from the beginning. The waiter told us quite early on that the kitchen closed at nine - which is really early, especially when we had gone for tapas at 8pm. This message was then revised and repeatedly relayed, giving a strong impression that a)we shouldn’t stay long and b) the kitchen was unprepared to provide the sort of meal one should get at a tapas restaurant. This was confirmed when each plate came out individually and with ten minute intervals. The food itself was poor, with the nicest plates comprising of the food that needed the least intervention from the kitchen, and the worst being the duck breast that the chef had overcooked to a comical degree. We left hungry, irked and sure that we would not be coming back.

    Expensive and very poor quality. We ordered 5 tapas dishes, but had to give up after 3 because they were of such a poor standard. 2 drinks and a few mouthfuls of not very nice tapas set us back £40.

    This is lovely little spot to sit and the staff are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have grasped the popularity of vegetarianism and veganism, and adapted their menu to ensure people who don't eat meat or fish can eat a decent meal for the cost. You're looking at £5.50 for some padron pepper, simply salted, tomatoes on bread, broccoli with a sauce and a badly thought through beetroot salad, no one wants to go out to eat in a restaurant that serves them 2-3 beetroots, with a simple dressing. I eat better at home! *Note the cheeses are not vegetarian friendly either which really does leave you with just for your evening out (which will easily set you back £40- £50 per head). Of course, if you eat meat and fish the restaurant is a lot better, but still a bit limited menu and quite pricey.

    A great place to grab a casual bite to eat after work. It's dining causal with a bit of style. The restaurant is under an arch so the red brick gives it a great ambience. Back wall is stocked with wine and Spanish goods, which is a nice touch. The kitchen is exposed so your clothes and hair might smell a bit charred. But this personally doesn't bother me because I like watching the chef work. Friendly staff serving up fresh food at a fair price for tapas. Give it a try :)

    Very delicious food, and fairly quick to be served as well. Nice selection of wine and a couple of beers. The place is outdoor seating only, so wear appropriate clothing!

    Lovely location, good waitress service. It was extremely smoky (from cooking) inside and our eyes were watering so much we had to leave earlier than we would have wanted. There was no cheese to order. Also, no substantial side dishes eg patatas bravas or Spanish omelette, which was disappointing. A member of staff behind the bar was eating, which looked unprofessional. Our first time here was amazing but this time was disappointing unfortunately.

    First time visiting. Small venue but made for a lovely and intimate environment. Food was outstanding. Service was perfect - didn’t feel rushed like other tapas restaurants we’ve been to. Food came out in bits which worked really well for us. Great selection of wine too. Overall, would highly recommend.

    The door makes an unbearable noise everytime it is shut, there is too much smoke inside and if the door is kept open it is too cold, not a lot of space to sit, the food is okay but the duck was served cold and there isn’t a huge amount of diversity in the menu.

    Great place and great food. Not quite as good as the spectacular first time here a few weeks ago - partly due it not being full and the door having to be opened and (loudly) closed a lot and the temperature outside having plummeted.

    Loved this restaurant — only sad we could only stay for 2 hours! Food is great, drinks are great, atmosphere is great. Recommend ordering everything on the menu. Only reservation is the only toilet is the public toilet just outside and it was not in great condition - next time I’ll bring my own loo roll!!
