Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but really showcases the best of produce from in and around Cornwall.     We had a wonderful meal at The Tartan fox. Amazing service, suoer waitresses and waiters, and great food. The only problem, is the chips were too oily, and tasted like they had been fried about 5 times. And made me feel ill. And it was very expensive for half a cabbage on the plate. As you have to pay extra for sides. But the taste is exquisite so you don't mind too much. Just mainly disappointed with the chips.

    Everything was excellent. We particularly liked the approach to our food allergies which was very accommodating. The food was delicious and the staff were great. They were friendly and professional. The only comment we would like to make, is that we would prefer the main courses to come with some vegetables, rather than have to order separately. Would highly recommend the Tartan Fox. 🦊

    Really lovely place. Lovely welcoming staff who couldn't be more helpful. Food was great, as you'd expect (try the haggis scotch egg) and the setting was really cosy, especially with the wind and rain outside (helped that we sat by the fire warming ourselves).

    What a wonderful environment to bring a friend from London who is a foodie, the atmosphere was great food was excellent, choice of food and wine was very good, and the service was very good The only downside was dogs in there on a Saturday evening, one small dog even sat on the lap of its owner with its paws on the table not really what I would expect Would come again
