We just love meeting up at the Tasting Room! The service is always great - the servers are always sweet and welcoming. We had Yago as our main server. He was very kind and helpful. A couple of other servers helped to bring out the apps, drinks, food, etc. We were very well taken care of. The food is excellent, excellent, excellent! TR never disappoints! The Kiev Mule was a highlight too!

We dined for brunch on Easter and overall everything was great. The food was fantastic and I’d definitely suggest sharing the breakfast board between our less than 3 people. Our server Angela was busy but we never felt ignored.

We came on a Sunday for brunch to celebrate my mom’s birthday. The food was immaculate! The portion sizes were on par with the price point (in other words, not a teaspoon of food with sauce for $250 lol), so definitely a place for the family but with the class of the small plate restaurants. Our server was great! I can’t remember his name but he was a fair skinned African American guy with a close cut. I could tell that he was frustrated with it being short staffed, but he remained transparent and worked very hard to ensure we were served in a timely manner and received a great dining experience at The Tasting Room. I can’t stress how much I appreciate him for remaining professional, yet showing his vulnerability in such a high pressure situation. I had the smoked salmon avocado toast and let me tell you…the layers of flavors were orgasmic to my tastebuds! I loved the sweet and sour of the tomato jam, the saltiness of the salmon, the tart and light whipped goat cheese, and the crunchiness of the toast. My mom had the shrimp and grits. I tried some of hers and the shrimp were cooked to perfection, not mushy at all. They were firm, tender, juicy, and succulent. The grits, oh my goodness, the grits were so creamy and fresh (made the southern girl in me proud)! My husband had the chicken and waffles. Those waffles were fluffy and light yet filling. That’s how you make waffles! I tasted the collard greens that my friend had and was shocked to find out that it had the vinegar base. Now anyone from The South knows that vinegar in collards are a big deal. To see a restaurant take that southern technique into consideration and execute it in their cooking style was quite heart warming. Last but not least, I’m not sure who made my Bloody Mary, but they definitely understood the assignment! It was perfectly blended and not too acidic. In fact, it had a slightly sweet taste which gave me the Bloody Mary experience I didn’t know I needed! Overall, I would go back for sure

I came here because I was celebrating my birthday. When we walked in we were not greeted. It took 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. After we were seated, then it was like they forgot we were there. We then ordered our drinks, the table next to us, were seated served and had eaten before we got our drinks. There were 6 of us, the food didn’t come out all together. My food was cold. It was a horrible experience all around. The manager came out and just kept saying “I hate to hear that, I’ll let the kitchen know”. She was useless. And almost ran away. Anyway, I won’t be back. Will not be recommending to anyone.

We ordered the brunch board. It was pretty good although they can give a little more meat, and just regular grits. They give you more than enough carbs (French toast, biscuits, waffles). However, everything else was great!

I made reservations for my wife and I for Valentine's Day. Reservations were set for 7:45pm. We get to the host's table at 7:40. Once the host came to greet us and learned of our reservations he told us that the only thing available was outside seating. Mind you it's at least 40 - 45 degrees outside. I asked what was the point of reservations. The response was "with reservations, it's a first come first serve basis" The manager comes over to state that people were not leaving because they were just sitting around talking. 🙄 But what does that have to do with my reservation? My wife points out that there's an open table in our view (several tables pushed together). The response was, "That's for a party of 8 that we have coming in". So reservations work for larger parties but not for others who have taken the time to make reservations? We ended up having to sit at the bar to wait for an open table. Once they placed us at an open table it took at least 20 minutes before we were attended to. Once our waiter came over, thankfully he was very nice and did a great job. My plate had to be sent back because my food was extremely cold. 😒. Once that was corrected, I'd say that the food was good and the prices were reasonable. We would go back to give it another shot but definitely not on a holiday.

We decided to do Valentine’s Day brunch instead of dinner and I’m so glad we did. We had a great intimate time. The wait staff was attentive but not too which allowed us to have our intimate brunch. This was our fist time there. We will be back next month with friends. We shared the brunch board and had a bottle of sparkling wine. Everything and everyone was perfect. My husband and I say thank y’all for a great Valentine’s Day.

The burger and fries were good. The Brussels sprouts were cooked a bit too long. But management did an excellent job of accommodating us. The drinks were good. The lamb chops were a bit small for the price especially since everything is a la cart. But the environment and service is really good.
