We bother enjoyed our stuffed shrimp entree and the rosé sangria was delicious!! The wait staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed our dining experience
We asked for a simple salad for our 4 year old and was told we couldn’t get one. Coffee was awful. We've been coming here for over 30 years and were disappointed.
Great service in a serene and refined environment
While staying in the area, we selected The Tavern for our daughters birthday celebration. What an excellent choice! Our server Zachary was pleasant, attentive and helpful. The food was amazing...escargot, stuffed shrimp and the prime rib which comes with a popover! Drinks were delicious too, particularly the after dinner Black Walnut liqueur. The historical setting and many small dining rooms provide a lovely atmosphere. Overall a really memorable experience.
Having a fly buzz around my dinner was extremely annoying
We met old friends at the Beekman for lunch and had a wonderful time. The freshness of the food, the careful preparation, the friendly server, and the beauty of the garden room all contributed to a lovely day. I live in Maine but grew up in the Hudson Valley when the Beekman Arms was our go-to celebration restaurant when I was a child, and it still holds that sense of celebration. It's a great blend of traditional comfort and contemporary approach.
Wonderful ambience—great selection of entrees for Sunday Brunch/Lunch. I had a delicious Cobb Salad and a bowl of clam chowder. Two others at our table had Saratoga sandwiches(chicken, bacon& tomato club sandwiche)—Sandwiches huge and tasty. My husband said his hamburger & fries were excellent. Beautiful old tavern that never disappoints
Food was delicious. Service was prompt and efficient. Server was very nice.
We had lunch in the atrium which was very beautiful. The food was delicious, and well prepared. The deserts were great!! The service was outstanding. Overall the experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Delightful lunch in the wine cellar: fine BLT with sweet potato fries and a caprese sandwich; good wine and beer choices. Fun location.
An absolutely pleasant experience. It was a Friday night and the Prime Rib was cooked to perfection. Our server, Jessica, was excellent. We weren't rushed and lingered over the best coffee and dessert. Certainly, for the above mentioned reasons, this is why the Beekman Arms has stood the test of time. Can't wait to go back.
High marks indicate approval of this restaurant in all aspects. Not living close to it, we only visit once a year, but always find it a pleasant place to dine and never consider even looking at any other restaurant in the vicinity.
Been visiting for over 30 years but I am disappointed in the quality of the food these last few years. I used to Rave about the food, now it's just meh! Please make the effort it's not just me. Some items are great but not all and the Turkey Panini was not good half wasn't eaten. The Special Chicken Parm was same. half eaten. Beek used to GLOW with the food. I miss that.
Will still come back as always, all else is awesome but the food needs work.
Bread was cold, butter rock solid. Onion soup was luke warm, filet was burnt on outside, rather tasteless. Mashed potatoes were served cold.
stuffed shrimp was excellent.
Long wait for food on a Saturday nite but we didn’t mind. Food was very good
Beautiful historic inn in downtown Rhinebeck. The lunch was amazing and the waitstaff was more the attentive!
Would return in a heartbeat!
We enjoyed a delicious brunch in a very inviting and comfortable dining room . As the weather was quite hot - the comfortable indoor seating was perfect !
We always try to go to the Beekman on our way home from a Yankee Game. It provides a lovely way to end the day with an excellent meal. Dress is casual so we don’t have to worry about being inappropriately dressed after a game.
We sat at the bar and our bartender Tracy was wonderful., Great service and one of the best club sandwiches I ever had. It was a very enjoyable afternoon treat !!!
Lunch - sat outside. Inside looked dark and noisy. Thought should be more food
Filet cooked as ordered. Pleasant receptionist and wait staff. Would definitely return.
Anniversary dinner. We sat in the greenhouse. Lovely setting and delicious food. Server was great. Surrounded by large loud parties. Kind of killed the romance.
The food was wonderful, and the service was amazing. We ate outside and we enjoyed the view of the lovely garden. I would definitely recommend the Beekman Arms to others!
Always lovely! The historic atmosphere is great.
After promptly being seated sat for 25 minutes with water on table !!!! After going back to hostess she took wine order and brought bread 10 minutes later server took order total time to order 40 minutes !!!!
Food was great
It's a great looking place, but there are several different rooms. Some are very dark and unattractive. Food was just ok, nothing special, nothing terrible. The horrendous service made the whole dinner very disappointing. We will not be going back.
Sitting in the tavern on a beautiful afternoon not ideal. The option to sit in the Glass room was not offered. Either the room was out service for a special event or the temperature was not comfortable
But no explanation.
Don't get the escargot or the stuffed shrimp. Not very good at all. The steak frites was okay. Not worth the trip at all.
There was a trivia event that got very noisy very quickly and made it hard to talk. Scallops were good, but there were just three in the main course. Service and food were great.
Been many times when in rhinebeck
Usually a very pleasant experience
This time however we were placed in the large banquet room
With just three large tables set so it was not the old inn feel and felt corporate
The othe two tables had a party with 6 unruly children that were running around and under tables
We had to move as the meals came.
Very unfortunate as i booked months in advance for my daughters graduation. We had people from uk visit too
So was very embarrassing
Food tho was good if not a little cold with the delay of moving tables
Beekman was apologetic, thats all
We had a disastrous experience at the Beekman Arms and will never come back. We made 5:30p reservations for two people for Sat. 5/25, which was the Memorial Day weekend. The restaurant was very crowded, however we were eventually led to a rather unappealing area in a booth behind the bar area. We waited for a full ten to fifteen minutes without any acknowledgement of: water, wine list, offer to take our order, etc. We did not have any service staff acknowledge our presence. While I got up to seek out a waiter, my wife got on the phone to make reservations elsewhere in the area. While I was seeking help, I ran into the hostess that originally seated us; I mentioned how we were NOT being treated and that we would not put up with that poor attention and we were leaving for another restaurant. I also mentioned that we had travelled from Atlanta and had searched out restaurants in advance...we made a big mistake in choosing the Beekman Arms.
A delightful outdoor luncheon on a picture-perfect summer day ‼️
The Tavern at Beekman Arms is a long time favorite of mine although I hadn't been there in years because I left the area. It never disappoints! Sunday brunch was the perfect conclusion of a "girls getaway" weekend. Many excellent choices on the menu. They were extremely accommodating when I had to change our reservation and make it 1.5 hours early than planned.
Hmmm....I would recommend the place but NOT for brunch. I have been going there for over 20 years and have had mostly good experiences. Mother's Day was not one. The choices were not that appealing and of those, the quality was just not that good. I had to complain about the single egg dish -- Benedict -- which I personally do not eat. The half bagel I took (with packets of cream cheese!!!!) was stale. The desserts were not worth the calories. And the price was exorbitant. We were not told that coffee and drinks were a separate fee, so it was quite a shock to get the bill. Will stick to dinner in the future.
Beautiful restaurant/atmosphere with superior service. Food is OK. Salad with a sandwich consisted of dry green leaves with a thick dressing on the side. That part of the meal was tasteless and I chose it instead of fries to keep it healthy. I like when restaurants use actual lettuce and judge accordingly.
We had a wonderful and attentive waiter
I hade made a reservation at the Tavern, but we were seated in the enclosed terrace. We were hoping to have been seated in the tavern considering It was one of the main reasons why we chose the venue to celebrate my father’s birthday, and drive 21/2 hours to celebrate. We were very disappointed that our request couldn’t be accommodated. The meal was ok, but not very innovative for farm-to-table. The appetizers escargot and crab nachos were delicious. The steak and frites were okay. The stuffed shrimp were okay. We are unable to comment on dessert because we didn’t chose to stay. The waitstaff were attentive and professional.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was spot on with many choices of seating and location. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. If I am in Rhinebeck again I will surely return. Highly recommend.
