Excellent venue amazing food and great service
Will definitely return soon
Vodka martini poor , food average . Outside dining experience poor. No heating or lighting only some tables , Had to use torch on phone to see the food on the plate. Did not make for a relaxing and enjoyable evening for the price of the meal overall. Waiters friendly.
The place is wonderful, close to the river, really pretty ground. The food and menu has lots of room to improve: steak wasn't great and we reckon it was a wrong cut, fish was ok but a really small portion. Overall quite expensive for a poor quality and an unimaginative menu.
Delicious food, well presented and served in delightful and comfortable situation on a late summer afternoon - and with the Eat Out to Help Out discount much more affordable. We look forward to returning sometime, albeit probably without a discount.
Beautiful setting, immaculate gardens and friendly staff with delicious food
Excellent service as I even took my 8 month granddaughter there. Will return again and again
Found the service to be slow and items requested didn’t come. Also one of the diners had an upset stomach although we were three and all had the same meal, the other two were fine. The setting is beautiful so would come again on a nice day
We had 1.30 lunch booking on Monday with Temperature 29. We were given a table without umbrella. When we requested for one, we were told there was none. After 15 minutes in that unbearable direct sun, we requested for the shade again. The only choice we were given was a table opposite the far end corner of the building, opposite the terrace kitchen, where you had all the smoke and only looked at the walls with guttering and the kitchen . It ruined our day and was horrible.
I have visited twice now. It is an amazing experience and real care and attention is taken into account around covid recommendations without being overbearing.
Thank you for a truly uplifting experience.
Reluctantly have to say excellent as don’t want too many people discovering this great outdoor location!
A truly magical spot to have lunch, sitting outside, looking across the lawn to the river. Staff were top notch and the food was devine. Thank you for a splendid afternoon.
Beautiful setting by the Thames excellent lunchtime menu. Service was friendly and quick.
A truly wonderful dining experience! Looking forward to our next visit. Food and Service absolutely top class. Quiet and relaxing lunch which I have to say is very difficult to come across these days. The riverside setting is just stunning.
Dining at The Terrace Restaurant at Oakley Court was a delightful experience. The food was delicious, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful time dining whilst watching the boats passing by.
Great food and service. Lovely outdoor space with heaters
Excellent service by all and food great lovely to be still able to sit outside
Lovely, classy terrace restaurant. Overlooking green and river. Quite idyllic. Lovely staff and good food.
We were staying in the hotel so decided to eat at The Terrace . Was glad we did . It was a great atmosphere sitting outdoors under the large parasols, lit by twinkling lights and lamp heaters as it went dark . The setting is stunning , right on the banks of the River Thames .
The staff were very attentive and the set up felt covid secure . The menu wasn’t huge but the items they did have offered a good range of choice . The food we had was delicious, made with quality locally sourced ingredients. My husband had Bream and I had an artichoke pizza , both were cooked perfectly. There was a good wine list if you asked for it and they also did beers and a few cocktails . A massive plus got us too , was that it was dog friendly , with well behaved dogs allowed .
Great service and food, really enjoyed the setting and atmosphere
As always the food was incredible, the service was fantastic and the setting is gorgeous. Sadly we had some rather noisy children at the table next to us on the terrace.... not the staffs fault at all - just the parents and their shocking lack on discipline. Other than that it was exceptional as always
Tina was amazing, she helped me surprise my friend with some chocolate writing on a plate saying Happy Birthday, with some lovely fresh Strawberries to accompany the chocolate.
She looked after us really well and was on hand if we needed anything.
I think Tina deserves a pay rise, 10/10
Beautiful setting for our special occasion. So glad we booked it at The Oakley hope to visit again soon
The Terrace trades on the ambience of such a wonderful setting, however the food was below average for such a prestigious hotel. My son's steak £27 + was tough & chewy with little garnish so he ordered charred cabbage which had just been blasted on a BBQ & was not appetising he left most of both. My partner had Salad Nicoise with chicken as an extra....the salad was appalling & limp the chicken came in 2 big breast which had been BBQ were dry & just placed on the side, this is not a salad Nicoise !, My niece & I had Hamburgers.....I asked for mine to come without bun & chips instead add a salad which was full of un-blanched peas & limp soggy lettuce, the hamburger had a slice of square cheese slapped on the top hardly melted. My niece's hamburger in full was the only decent meal. I had a large glass of Melbec wine which I couldn't finish as it was like vinegar. I have eaten in the restaurant many times (especially the Sunday Carvery which unfortunately is not opening until October ) & enjoyed the food, that was the reason why I suggested my family meet there ....who incidentally were driving from Norfolk, London, Somerset & Wiltshire. Considering the bill came to £145 + I would have expected far better from this establishment. Very disappointed.
Lovely family Sunday lunch/afternoon in superb riverside setting.
Staff friendly and attentive with high level of service. Considering the limitations imposed by Covid19 precautions the hotel/restaurant has done an excellent job providing us with a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Wonderful venue but spoilt by the food. The starters were fine and the children's meals very good but four adults had pizzas which were almost inedible. Everyone left at least half. The crusts were impossible to cut and toppings dried up. Such a shame.
We had a lovely lunch on the terrace for a birthday meal apart from a few noisy children. The service was a little slow but we know that was probably due to taking extra care over hygene protocol with the virus all in all we had a lovely time thankyou
Exquisite food in 4 course tasting menu although very rich. A little too chilly to sit outside unfortunately and even with door open to outside a bit draughty although safer.
Alcohol prices in high side but every morsel of food was yummy.
We were due to eat on the terrace but the weather turned against us! However, we were taken into the dinning room but due to the time we were the only diners.
The food options were good and our steaks were cooked as requested. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we did not get our premium experience the cost of our meal should have delivered. I would visit again but ensure the weather was more condusive.
Great place, great food and great experience overall.
Beautiful setting by the River Thames, the hotel facade was gorgeous - especially all the gargoyles.
Food was fine, just pizzas, but nicely cooked. Glass of fizz went down well with them.
To be honest, my only comment is that I was surprised how 'casual' the staff were dressed for such a lovely, and not inexpensive, place. T shirts, hoodies and leggings...unexpected.
Fabulous setting along the River Thames. Perfect for a afternoon out especially for a special occasion. Main menu offered a variety of options. A bit pricey but the views made up for that. Loved the new bar they’ve set up including a pizza oven if you’re looking for a more casual option. Will definitely go back.
Fantastic service. Beautiful setting. Delicious food - what's not to like!
It was a pleasant surprise to see the Hotel again, how much it has change since our last visit there 20yrs ago. Change for the better. Wud have gone earlier if we’ve known how amazing the whole new set up is, specially in the summer. Would definitely recommend for any occasion.
We enjoyed drinks and lunch on the terrace overlooking the river . The location is superb, just on the outskirts of Windsor and positioned along the banks of the Thames. All of the staff we met were friendly, polite and helpful. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the service exemplary.
The only downside was that due to the weather we could not dine al fresco, which obviously, was not your fault.
The re-arrangements were very good.
Excellent customer service and great setting.
Food expensive for what is was.
Ask to be under a heater as it was cool.
Food was amazing, the steak was cooked to perfection and the millionaire shortbread was scrumptious. Beautiful surroundings and pleasant staff.
Great food and ambience
In the current climate, fast efficient and very friendly
Loved it and the sunshine made it perfect .
Would definitely go back
