DO NOT HERE IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY!
We chose the Terrace as a place to get lunch after my daughter's graduation ceremony. My daughter is unable to eat gluten as it makes her very ill. We asked for a gluten free roll for her burger and I also asked for a gluten free roll to make sure there was no risk of confusion. My daughter ate half of hers before she worked out that both of us had been given half of a regular bread roll and half a gluten free roll.
The waitress was apologetic and refunded our money and replaced our meal but my daughter was really unwell as a result of this error.
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE A GENUINE FOOD ALLERGY.
a very nice lunch, food well prepared and presented
Beautiful scenery, was like being abroad. Lovely atmosphere and music. Was an exceptionally busy day, and seemed the satff were overwhelmed (I don't blame them!) but when waitress came over with two of the same meals in error she came back over with a cash refund which was really lovely. Would definately go back!
Great views, great quick service and breakfast yummy. A lovely find. X
Had a full English breakfast, very well cooked and tasted delicious. Will definitely return
Great atmosphere... Perfect for a sunny Bank Holiday birthday celebration 😊
We received an email with a menu attached in advance as we had booked a table for Mothers Day, but this was not the menu that was in place when we went, it was only a Sunday roast, My daughter doesn't like Roast and there was no other option for her. No children's drinks such as Fruit Shoot or apple juice, only squash. We waited at the hatch for a good 15 mins just to get a drink, no-one showed us where our table was we had to find it. It had a tiny piece of ripped off paper on it with our name on. We then had to queue again to order food, it took 45 mins to arrive and they had not put through 1 of the children's meals, which they did bring out a few minutes later. I'm glad I hadn't paid for it as my daughter didn't eat any of it. I found a hair in my food which was very off putting. The music was great, but there were people smoking sat right next to my children before and during our meal, which they and I were not impressed with. I'm sorry, great concept but poorly executed, I won't be going back & I wouldn't recommend.
Booked a table for 3:30 and no table was available. Wasted £3 on parking
Heard the roasts were amazing but sadly this wasn’t the case - pork tough as old boots , a random beetroot or something on the plate. Not worth 10.95. Waitress excellent though, dealt with my complaint well and asked me what I wanted ( I asked for my money back) I was offered a free dessert. Chef came out and enquired what the problem was with my beef, I explained I had pork and it was tough and with that he just walked away. It might have just been a bad day in the kitchen. Prepare to queue for drinks and to order food. Some positives - the ambience is great . Live bands which is lovely and great views.
Everything was exactly how we needed and expected. Thanks
