A really lovely dining experience. The menu is a good choice of dishes and they are very able to cope with differing allergies. The food is beautifully fresh and portions are perfect. The tables are generously spaced and the environment is quiet and airy. I have visited twice already, once a birthday for my elderly father and the second, lunch with a girlfriend. We all love this new setting and the chef and staff made us all very happy. I highly commend this gem.
The menu was good for everybody with fish, meat, vegetarian and Vegan on offer. However the food was poor as the meals tasted very bland and overcooked, possibly left under a heat lamp. Actually the food was awful as it was like eating cardboard. On the plus side the service was impeccable and all the staff provided an amazing service. The prices were reasonable, all said and done the experience at Wisley with all the new build and changes were mind blowing, a fantastic experience and lovely gardens and new buildings to accommodate everybody.
The perfect venue for Grandma's Birthday celebration lunch. Beautiful, light and airy surroundings, tables not cramped closely together, very quiet ambient music, great service and on top of that we all had delicious meals. Highly recommended.
We were celebrating my mother's birthday, the weather was atrocious but the meal here made up for it 🙂
This was such a pleasant surprise. Incredible service, food and atmosphere. And catered amazingly for us both being dairy intolerant!
Really good food, and excellent service. Am hoping more of these events happen in the future, as we'll definitely go along. Most excellent value for money.
Valentines meal was delicious and for£40 a head including Prosecco and canapés we thought it was pretty good value. We are encouraged to think about returning soon!
Delicious food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
As described in the star rating. Staff friendly and helpful in this attractive, modern and relaxed atmosphere. Music pleasant and not at all intrusive - beautiful evening all round.
Most disappointing that the quality of the food did not match up to the wonderful service and peaceful ambiance of the restaurant. A visit to a world class garden somewhat dampened by the dining experience. One can only summarise our experience as extremely poor value for money.
A lovely meal served in a great setting. Our waitress was very thoughtful and helpful and gave us great service. We chose from the two course set menu for lunch and the food was well presented and extremely tasty. Overall very good value and would definitely eat there again.
The menu and food was a bit strange and not to my taste
Lovely location with a big picture windows. Staff were really friendly. The roast lunch was excellent!
A very enjoyable quiet and relaxed lunch with attentive service and carefully prepared dishes with proper portion control.
This was our second trip yo the Terrace and the food was just as good at the first trip. Nothing to complain about either the restaurant or staff, but maybe a smidgen more attention when we needed things would be nice. The down side is that you need to enter the gardens to use the restaurant, and if you are not RHS members then this will NOT be free. If you are walking around the garden this is much better than the standard restaurant, but be sure to book as it will no doubt become more busy as people discover it.
As usual a very relaxed meal with good service, despite it being a busy weekend
Very nice food (much nicer than the other Wisley eating places in my opinion). Shame you have to pay entrance to get to the restaurant but overall good value (we are members anyway so no entry charge). Nice choice of food, well presented and tasty.
A delightful, spacious restaurant with a fresh but welcoming atmosphere. The food is good, healthy and with a well balanced menu. The staff are pleasant and very efficient. And, of course, the view across the gardens is tremendous. I have already recommended the place to many friends.
The front of house staff at this restaurant were amazing, so welcoming and friendly. Their knowledgable about the food and wine, portion sizes and what goes well with certain choices. They were all great, even on a very busy Sunday rammed with screaming children and strollers eveywhere and rather curt guests, their professionalism was outstanding!
The food was also first rate, incredibly tasty and also beautiful to look at. Wonderful wines too.
Bravo, thank you for a wonderful meal. Will be coming back.
The roast beef was delicious and the staff so welcoming and friendly. We took two young children for lunch and were made to feel really welcome and at home. Would highly recommend.
A beautifully situated and decorated restaurant with excellent service and very good food.
However we felt on balance that the set menu options were slightly overpriced overall for the content. Just something for that special occasion.
Have often passed by but found our first visit to be a surprisingly pleasant experience. Good food and great service made for an ideal birthday lunch out. Would definitely visit again.
All good. Food and Service excellent at a very good price.
Very relaxed atmosphere. Although we were booked for 4 we were able to have another table joined together and entertain 8 of our friends and family who had arrived while we were still eating so we didn’t have to move to the cafe for our coffees and tea. Matt served us and Liz came up and chatted with us as she remembered us from our last visit.
Great interior... comfortable chairs. Good service and nice meal
This is a nice place to eat! The food is interesting and mostly good. It’s lovely to look out at the RHS gardens. Also wheelchair accessible.
Food was not of the quality I expected (tough pheasant) given the price and the venue. I did expect something more exceptional at Wisley. I think there was a shortage of waiting staff so service was slow.
Lovely New year's Day meal. Service was relaxed and friendly and the environment was bright and spacious. Food from the festive menu was well cooked and tasty. Nice way to start the New year.
Very friendly staff, excellent service with a calm ambience. Thought the set menu price could include a side.
Nice, calm atmosphere. Very good decor. Excellent and attentive service.
Very nice restaurant. Food for adults excellent. Children’s portions quite small, even for an 8 year old and not good value, a bit of a shame. Will return but not with granddaughter.
Very nice setting. Staff very attentive and informative about the facilities at Wisley. Will be returning.
A pleasant environment with good food and service at a moderate price.
Lovely atmosphere, pleasant and friendly service. Will visit again.
A beautiful building in the middle of RHS Wisley its a calm and quiet space to enjoy a relaxed meal. We had the Festive menu and particularly enjoyed our main courses, a mushroom bourginon, chargrilled salmon and the mint and pea tortellini all delicious. Service friendly, polite but not intrusive.
The restaurant has a iovely atmosphere with tables well placed to ensure some privacy. The food was excellent and we were not rushed between courses. The staff were attentive and polite.
The outstanding part of our lunch was the service. The staff were charming, professional and thoughtful. Actually one comes out to enjoy food and it was quite mediocre and not particularly cheap. More like an unremarkable pub lunch. Try harder in the kitchen please!
Really good festive set menu, very good food and exceptional service. Portions are just right and the ambience is very good for an enjoyable lunch for any occasion.
We enjoyed our experience in your restaurant, but think the Hake - although tasty in itself - didn't need so much onion compote around it - and the sage potatoes seemed to be 'lost' in the onion mixture !!
Think this dish would be improved if you served separately on the plate the onion compote and the sage potatoes and not have to 'search' for the potatoes !! There was far too much onion compote I felt.
We hope this helps with your survey of our experience and shall look forward to our next visit !!

Our favourite place for lunch. Not to be missed 😘
