   Lovely lunch in the garden. Great place to go when the sun is shining, just remember to book ahead. I heartily recommend the Orzo risotto BTW!

   Fabulous food! Recommend if you are in Thame ……. 2 glasses of sauv blanc,olives,bottle of Rioja,kidneys,cheese soufflé,pork chop and pork cheeks £102 and worth every penny 👍🏼

    Meeting up with friends - comfortable table and noise levels reasonable in area we were seated. Pleasant service but the food was very disappointing. Undercooked squid, minced crab overpowered by crumpet base for starters and then overcooked sea bream with overwhelmingly tangy tomatoes in vinegar. Dessert and cheese were ordinary. Coffee was OK. Price expensive for what we were served. Plus the lavatory in gents toilet did not flush. Not recommended

    We were given the option of choosing where to sit. Service was efficient but not rushed. Tables set do doesn’t feel overcrowded. Food was lovely.

    Thoroughly lovey experience, as usual. We had the place practically to ourselves. The service was attentive but in no way over bearing. Food was exquisite - soufflé and ham hock terrine, beef short ribs and lemon sole and then Eton mess and lemon meringue pie to finish. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

    I regularly meet a friend at The Thatch, and we especially enjoy Brunch here. The atmosphere is perfect for chilling and chatting. The staff are attentive, but not intrusive; the perfect balance.

    Came with a friend from Canada who is allergic to garlic and onions. To say that the staff were excellent in adjusting dishes to suit was fantastic. All the staff were professional and gave us the time we needed This place is not to be missed. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We must have given the chefs a huge challenge that night. However, as normal they coped very well Thanks to all

    When we got there we were asked to wait as table not ready but instead of being shown into a warmer area we we left in the bar area where the garden door was being constant opener a owed so we're very cold.Not offered water for table..Scallop were lovely although for 13.00 only had 3 !!!!! Everything else was fine and will return

    The waiting staff and bar staff are always so friendly and work hard to make the dining experience a good one. I have eaten many times here in the last 6 months and it never dissapoints. The menu is interesting with many different well thought out choices. I love that the food arrives piping hot on lovely hot stoneware plates. (hate the cold and cold food) The menu changes often to keep up to date of food in season and is locally sourced. There is a more modern side and an older side to the restaurant depending on who you want to dine with. My favourite place to go. My menu choice as of today is the monkfish on spinach and spiced aubergine, the pheasant terrine is also amazing as is the triple cooked chip. So many other restaurants get the basics wrong that it spoils the experience before you even start. The thatch have got it right and no I don't work for them !!!! They also have a lovely courtyard dining area with a canopy and outdoor heater, great for a cold morsel like me.

    Recognised & greeted by very friendly & efficient staff. Drink order taken and delivered very quickly. We love to have a break between course which the team are very happy to accommodate. We have a dog and it’s brilliant to have a nice place to eat with great food. When the weather is a little warmer, the outdoor space is wonderful. We shall be returning time and time again!
