Excellent food though not huge portions. Lovely attentive staff. Outdoor heaters would be a definite plus, but we had a great evening.
Great service, good menu and friendly staff. Mainly good food for the six of us although my beef filet cuts were very small portion and unfortunately next to the braised brisket portion which I couldn’t cut through or eat so felt a bit short changed for £28....
Lovely venue. Friendly staff. Good food. Always a good choice
Fantastic ambience and super friendly helpful staff made this a lovely evening - delicious Cesar salad and fries and they had my favourite gin available too.
Really enjoyable evening with first class food and wine - definitely recommend it!
The food was fabulous and lovely to keep the eat out to help out discounts! Unfortunately the service was a little patchy on this occasion, however normally very good... maybe just as it was busy!
Great menu and service. Really easy to manage GF dietary requirements. Good wine list.
Super lovely food and service but super slow serving the food tonight
Fabulous venue, great food and service, only downfall was they didn’t know we were coming, even though we had booked.
Lucky there was a table available, they just forgot to clean away the dirty ashtray before we sat down.
We love the Thomas Cubitt always a good idea for a relaxed and tasty dining experience.
Engagement! Service was
Delicious and beautifully presented food. Very attentive and flexible service .
We dined upstairs which is considerably less noisy than downstairs. We thought the portion of scallops was small so they brought us another. Everything was delicious and enjoyed how sustainably sourced the menu is
Excellent service, great menu. Not cheap but worth it. Thank you
Not what it used to be. Menu uninspiring and roast dishes consistently served cold or congealed, with unwillingness by staff (some with an attitude) to rectify. Lovely premises in a beautiful part of town keeps them busy but sadly and quickly loosing its former excellent reputation.
Cena con mi Esposa, el sitio muy agradable, la comida excelente, pudimos disfrutar de unos buenos vinos y una buena conversación. Este restaurante esta muy bien para una cena casual de pareja
Have dined at restaurant previously and it has been fine, but on this occasion it was extremely poor.. The starter was extremely poor value and the main course was hard and over cooked. We did complain an d were offered free coffee! Very disappointed.
Great service and food .. would recommend!
Very pleasant Staff. Good food and a decent portion size. Will certainly return.
Recommended by our tour operator as a good food restaurant with a pub style area. Too busy on the pub side we were asked if the dining upstairs would be ok. It’s more of a refined dining with a sophisticated menu. About 8 or 10 tables with a cozy ambience.
Fun atmosphere and solidly good food. Fish and chips and burger were excellent - the sausage/mashed potato was not totally my thing but not bad. Service was attentive, and has a lovely rose to drink. I liked eating downstairs at the pub. The upstairs, where you can make reservations, is quieter and more formal.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious but slightly overpriced.
nice setting and location
the food was good the service very fast and super friendly and helpful
too noisy for a romantic meal or if you want to have an important conversation
Been several time but first time for Sunday lunch, 6 of us - really convivial environment, sat for 3 hours with no pressure at all to leave. Attentive but not pushy service in a bright cosy room. Sunday roast, starters and deserts excellent - the only slightly weak dish was the pasta (I think Nettle Ravioli) which was a bit bland.
Will be back again
always a fun place the visit
the upstairs is quieter than the downstairs
Very disappointing - each dish had to be sent back because the food was served cold. The staff are great but the quality of the food is poor.
Absolutely wonderful!!!
Went to Thomas Cubitt on a recommendation from Fodors guide book and the restaurant's proximity to our lodging. Had a wonderful final meal in London before heading home. The starters and mains were delicious and ample in size. Desserts were Ok but not on a par with the other courses. Overall, I would return when next in London.
Solid dining experience all around if you are looking for good British food served in a nice setting.
Still a good choice, but had been better some time ago
Delicious food and excellent service thank you for a lovely lunch we will be back!
This was my third visit, always in Flower Show week. However, after recommending the restaurant to friends, we were very disappointed this year. We were shown upstairs (where we’ve sat before) after being given the menu the waiter had to be asked to serve us. Prices were much more expensive and nothing that we really got excited about, so we asked if there was a table available downstairs. We then waited an hour and a quarter before we got our starter. We were given some complimentary olives after an hour and I asked for some bread. My friend’s fish was rather small, my burger was ok.
As a result of our wait we didn’t get to the flower show until quarter to four and were unable to see all the exhibits in the time. So not a very positive experience this year.
A really original menu supported by excellent service. A la Carte is pricey but the set lunch is good value.
An excellent restaurant; interesting menu and delightful staff downstairs in the bar and upstairs in the dining room. Every single morsel was delicious, beautifully cooked and lovingly presented. With one exception. The only carbohydrate side dish on the menu were fries. However one dish on the menu was accompanied by Jersey royals. We asked if we could have some with our meal. No, chef says no!! Apparently he didn’t have any spare? We ordered the fries. Frozen, skin on, over salted and quite clearly suffering from bottom of the bag syndrome. Horrible. What a great sadness that the lack of a boiled potato should ruin, what in every other way was, a perfect meal.
Very beautiful location in a quiet place; all the meals were very good
Mains Sunday dinner only had beef which was tough only got points back because desserts were good
Very good Sunday roast with good choice and service. Consistently good service and food quality.
We had a great lunch with a friend here. The fish and chips is delicious
We were a mixed group of 8 including youngsters. From the outset service was friendly and professional with all special requests dealt with promptly. Food was simply made some nice twists and satisfying . Wine is well priced and those that ate deserts said they were excellent.
It is a nice place but quality orice disappointing. rge food okay but overpriced by at least 40 percent... there are other places in Elizabeth Street I would go next time iI am in Victoria
