    First class food brilliant chef, but spoiled because I am celiac so have to drink Peroni gluten free in bottles, seems a shame they have to charge £5.00 per bottle which is almost £10.00 per pint, totally unsustainable to keep paying this amount which I find outrageous.

    Lovely food, excellent service and great atmosphere, as usual. Nice selection of beers. Highly recommend this pub at any time, but if you like your board games give Tuesday nights a try as it's the pub's games night. Dozens of games available for all ages and makes for a cracking family night out; we are now Tuesday night regulars.

    We really enjoyed our meal. The food was good quality, as was the service. We had been on a reservoir walk and the usual place we eat was full. My family said The Thomas Egerton would be first choice next time we are walking in the area. The portions were a good size and it was good that you could adapt dishes (I'm not a fan of mushy peas so swapped to beans with my cheese pie) and a choice of types of chips. My teens said that the piri piri sauce was very spicy. I was too full for dessert but my teens loved theirs and they did look tasty. It was good to be able to book instantly online. There is a small car park. There is free wifi but it is very weak.
