We use the best British seasonal local ingredients to produce a tempting menu of pub classics with a contemporary twist - our Head Chef and amazing kitchen team are passionate about creating mouth-watering dishes, so whether you are looking for a lunch after exploring the London Imperial War Museum or local attractions, or just a cozy meal in the evening - we have created a unique menu that changes daily and caters for all your tastes.

What a delight to discover this charming gastropub in Kennington. A stones throw from the Imperial War Museum the pub offers a great food and cocktail menu as well as some serious tasty looking pizzas. The staff are welcoming and provide excellent service and it's great value for money. Their Lebanese Salad followed by a Sticky Toffee Pudding is a perfect evening meal for our current heatwave. Overall score - five stars - will definitely find a reason to be back in the area sometime soon!

I booked the table for lunch on Tuesday 24th and confirmed it on the 22nd. We arrived early and found the place not yet serving anything because the cook was off sick. The website did not mention this and I had not received a telephone warning. Eventually the staff turned the coffee machine on and made us coffee, and at about 1.30 they turned on the oven to produce us some pizzas. Fortunately we were not in a great hurry and were able to pass the time with conversation, but we were not impressed with the organisation.

Very friendly. We had to cut short our visit due to an emergency (a broken ankle in Norfolk) so didn’t say thanks properly, but the experience was excellent.

Nice welcoming pub with friendly staff and good service. However for a pub that is listed as one of the most sustainable in London t was very disappointing to see a lack of sustainable / local drinks options. They were all mainstream, serving Schweppes and no other ethical mixers. Poor choice of local beers. Food was tasty, but did not stand out in anyway. No mention on menu if meat was free-range or organic. Would be great if this was mentioned.

We had a fantastic lunch at the three stags. I’d booked at table for 1:15 but the chef wasn’t serving until 2 so we were very kindly offered a free drink for the wait. The manager couldn’t do enough to help, was friendly and charming and we wanted for nothing. The playlist was also exemplary. Honestly, it couldn’t have been a better experience. I had my elderly father, and a stressed brother hot off the plane from Canada in tow (we’d not seen each other for years), so what I’d imagined to be quite a stressful lunch turned out to be just perfect thanks to the service, ambience etc at the three stags. Will def revisit. What a pub.

We had parents visiting from overseas and specifically booked a table for the Sunday Roast (which I even specified while booking, as it was one of the question asked). On arrival, we were told that there were no sunday roasts left (except the vegan option). We were obviously very disappointed - had we known, we would have not come at all. We were hungry, and not sure whether we would find another pub nearby so we stayed - reluctantly. In the end, the food was correct and the staff very friendly but it didn’t make up for it. I expressed my disappointment to the waitress - I would have a least appreciated a gesture, i.e a few drinks on the house. This happens that most popular meals go fast. When that’s the case, better to give customers with bookings a heads up to give them better options.

Extraordinarily loud music. I’m 35 and could barely hear my friend sitting opposite me. Asked twice for the terrible music to be turned down. Twice it was and then turned back up. Pizza was tasteless. Drinks overpriced. Lecherous drunks wandering from table to table. This place is going downhill wildly.

I really enjoy the ambiance and natural light of this lovely corner pub. The selection of beers is always fantastic and the Sunday lunch was very tasty. The addition of a pizza oven to the pub has allowed it to make delicious crispy delights that are best eaten at the pub so as not to have them over-steamed when delivered - though delivery is an option. Desserts are always old-style comfort puds that really seem to be a warm hug of delightful flavour and just what you need to finish your traditional roast. I highly recommend this pub - it’s a gem - just book in advance as it gets quite busy!

Kermal and the team kept us and the kids entertained. Gave us a fun quiz question with the offer of a free dessert if we got it correct! Managed a delayed pizza for one of the children really well. A lovely evening! See you soon.

Lovely traditional London pub.. We visited on a Sunday so had the Sunday lunch menu. Fairly good choices and the food was very nice. Great friendly staff, I would recommend this pub.
