The local area has plenty of interesting walks and customers are welcome to park up in our car park, enjoy a few hours of fresh air, and then join us for a well earned drink, a cup of coffee, or a bite to eat. We have a comfortable bar, lounge and separate dining area and our delightful beer garden provides the ideal setting in which to plant yourself and relax on a sunny day and enjoy alfresco drinking and dining. Dogs are also welcome in the garden.
We very much look forward seeing you soon!
very helpful with our booking food was excellent and good value for money
Great quality Italian Meal with very friendly staff and great value for money. Complimentary doughballs and olives to start followed by plentiful Monkfish and a delicious tortellini, washed down with half a carafe of white wine. Just to cap it off, the cheeseboard was amazing for £5.80, with 4 cheeses plentiful for 3 people let alone one and came with a complimentary glass of port. We have never had a cheeseboard for such a great value anywhere else. We will definitely return.
Great restaurant great staff who are always welcoming ... highly recommend
The best Sunday lunch I've had in over a year!!! Starters, main course and sweets were all fantastic and wonderfully presented. Staff were attentive, polite and friendly. We ate at 4pm so the place wasn't too busy but still had a warm and pleasant ambiance. Will definitely go again and have already recommended it to family and friends.
Very comprehensive menu with varied choices. The only thing was there was a set menu choice and I am sure some of our party made choices that would have fitted the set menu. It was not explained to us whether we could 'mix and match' so we paid full price for everything.
The night we attended there was a live band which was very good although it did make eating a meal a little difficult as the staff were a bit distracted by the band. Notwithstanding that, we would definitely go again knowing what to expect.
Very welcoming, service was amazing and people are lovely. Would definitely go back
Good service and very tasty meal served with a good wine. Reasonably priced
The evening was totally spoilt by the service. Arriving at 7.20 for our 7.30 table we waited an hour for three starters our party was for 7 people. 25 minutes later we are told our mains would arrive in 5 minutes, 35 minutes later the waiter came and told us that they had run out of chips! Absolutely unacceptable. We had been there over two hours and 5 of us had not eaten anything now being told that they had run out of , what should be staple item on any menu is unbelievable. We paid our bar bill and left. Unfortunately we would not go back ,nor recommend to anyone else. Our party had met from different areas for a pre Christmas meal so it was a big disappointment.
The food was of a high standard and the overall ambience of the place was very pleasant.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Good value for money.
Good food and generous portions. Service was excellent and reasonably priced.
Would heartily recommend.
Excellent throughout the evening can’t fault anything
The quality of our food was mixed, some very good but some poor. Unfortunately, four members of our party did not receive their vegetables, potatoes or salad until they had almost finished the main part of their meal. We enjoy trying out different restaurants but are unlikely to return to this one for food. However, the garden was very attractive and inviting for a relaxing drink on a fine day or evening.
Good Food and service a little noisy but it was a Saturday evening
Mediocre sums it up
Staff did not want to engage with the customers and were more interested in having a chat at the bar than making eye contact
The scallops and prawns whilst reasonably tasty were over cooked
A pub which requires you to drive to it needs to be worth the effort and sadly this is not up to scratch
The food was interesting so with more effort they could get there
Staff were very pleasant and service was good however food was good but a little pricey for the place. Band was playing whilst we ate so a little noisy but not intolerant.
Food is always good quality, tasty and good portion size. Have been several times but service was not the best this time. Food was slow, main meal brought out before starter dishes were removed. Main course brought out but sides were delayed for 2 out of 4 meals with the wrong side brought for the 3rd meal. Slow to get a second drink. It wasn't very busy but the service was not up to scratch on this occasion. Will not deter us from visiting again. Lovely place.
We go there quite regularly and always have great service from friendly staff, the food is always incredible, I've had worse food and service from much more expensive restaurants. There is a cross-section of diners too, young and old. Only two complaints, one there is too much choice so it takes ages to decide (that's not a complaint, it's a compliment!) the other is the weird choice of music, screeching 80's heavy rock is not inducive to a relaxing meal even if it is a quiet level! Apart from that I can't fault it.
Oh and although I mentioned it at the booking and it was actually written in the book there was no mention of my partners Birthday.
Sunday roasts which we scored 10/10. Desserts somewhat limited in terms of choice....but the tiramisu was delicious!
This was our first visit following a recommendation ... we were not disappointed it was excellent ... that includes the food service and atmosphere...we will be back. Ps nice beer garden too. Highly recommend.
Been to the Tipperary several times as it’s not a long way for us! Christmas with a big party, a break for lunch while walking, evening out with family and friends - Each time we’ve been delighted.
Excellent food and menu choice. Great local pub, great service clientele eat early
Food OK but oneven of the meals was not very hot so sent back returned a little later a little warmer could have been better
Lovely meals, good sized portions, pleasant hosts, great service.
Excellent food and friendly service and staff. James the waiter was very helpful. Food delicious. The only problem we had was it was a little cold in the dinning room
Really lovely tasty food
Good portion sizes
Nice variety of food and drinks
Good kids options
The pastea was ok, smaller portions ( less layers of pastea).
Super night, complementary starter ,a nice touch.Food was delicious, first visit but good choices so we will return.
Wonderful venue, food delicious and the service was welcoming and helpful. Made a special birthday extra special.
We chose the 2 course lunch, starters and main course. The Christmas roast was very good but far too much meat so we had a doggy bag! The smoked salmon portion was also too big, but delicious.
Excellent value for money and super food.
Meat was OK but pre-sliced, one person asked for a few vegetables only , when the food arrived we were told this is one with extra veg there was no gravy and it had to be returned, all food was only tepid, waitresses were pleasant but it was amazingly difficult to attract their attention when we required more drinks. Overall lovely place but food and service poor
Fabulous food that far exceeded normal pub restaurant fare served by efficient and friendly staff in a warm, welcoming environment.
I came away thinking “that’s a kitchen with staff who care about what goes out” and I’d happily return.
We've been a few times over the past couple of months and have always been met with very friendly staff, clean and comfortable restaurant with a good selection of food. Food is very tasty, well cooked and well presented. Recently requested a specific vegetarian option on pre booking the table which was no problem. Our vegetarian guests was very impressed. Reasonable prices too. Would highly recommend.
The Tipperary Inn is well presented externally and internally. The food was very good as was the service.
A venue which we will certainly use again.
Always consistent. Good food served by friendly staff.
Sunday lunch menu is really good value and you never leave feeling hungry!!
Excellent food very tasty. We were sat in the back and had to get up to be noticed for drinks but other than that both occasions have been fantastic
We had a fantastic family meal at The Tipperary! The staff were really friendly and accommodating! We went as a family with two children and we all had a great time. The food was lovely and it was a really relaxed atmosphere. The food was great! We would highly recommend it :)
It was absolutely delicious, the panacotta was amazing and the mains both me and my partner had were scrumptious
Disappointed to start as sat in garden and waitress took the effort to come and tell us we had to order inside. Usually eat in restaurant where they take order at table. Why she couldn't take order when she came out, wo knows! Things improved once we were served with the food as it was as good as normal - large portion and very tasty. We all had different - one roast lamb, one chicken alla marsala & mushrooms and I had tagliatelle in brandy, tomato & cream sauce with salmon fillet on top. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and will return again.
We went to the Tipperary Inn for my Wife's Birthday meal after travelling past this Restaurant on many occasion and we kept saying we must try it some time, and at last we got round to try it and it was worth waiting for. Its location was great in the Countryside, but the restaurant was clean , tidy , comfortable and friendly. the staff were so friendly ,welcoming and helpful and were attentive to all your needs, the menu was very diverse with a cross of Italian and English. We had a very tasty meal which was both hot and Delicious and could not find any fault with and would totally recommend this restaurant to any one
I went here the other night with my family for an evening meal, it was a shame as the food was really nice and tasty but we all ordered starts and all came out together except one which they had forgotten. We then reminded them and they apologised and 10 minutes later it came out but by then everyone else had finished their starters. Then we had to wait about an hour for our main courses to come. If the rate at which the food had come out was quicker it would have been great.
