The Tipsy Vegan

Having discovered the delights of The Tipsy Vegan last August we have been back numerous times and even picked up takeaway during the November lockdown and NEVER once have we been disappointed. My husband is not a vegan but he chooses to eat at The Tipsy Vegan because we are so impressed with the standard of food, it is delicious, there is so much to choose from no one can be disappointed. We will continue to eat here for as long as it is around. One tiny suggestion would be to maybe expand the dessert menu but that is minor for me because I am usually to full for dessert.

This time booking online, it wasnt clear that you had to prebook the roast dinner before attending...
This would have been evident, had i spoken to someone physically on the phone...so just had a starter and drink which was still lovely...
Disappointed, but had our roast elsewhere.....so all good!

Service is always brilliant. Such a friendly place. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Always super tasty!

We booked last minute and had a lovely lunch. We hadn’t pre booked the Christmas menu but they very kindly let us order from that menu for what they had available. I’m not vegetarian but the meal was really delicious. Amber was our waitress and was great. I would highly recommend!

We had the 3 course Christmas menu it was delicious. I would highly recommend the mocktail.

Really enjoyed lunch here. We had the deep-fried buffalo cauliflower tapas as a starter, which was fantastic. Then I had the Saitan burger (excellent texture and flavour and well garnished) and the italian 'sausage' sandwich, which my wife seemed to like. The charcoal lemonade was an experience too (black, as you'd imagine).
The concept here is to serve vegan versions of non-vegan style food (burgers, tapas etc) and they do it very well. I'd love to see a slightly broader menu but appreciate it's better to do a few things well that a lot of things badly. The interior's lovely and the service friendly and relaxed. Prices are perfectly reasonable for a very tasty lunch (£32 for two mains with one starter and two soft drinks, no deserts)
Still can't get that buffalo cauliflower out of my mind.

Thank you - overall we had a lovely evening. I offer the following feedback - I understand you may not agree or change anything as a result. The starters were lovely - the tapas selection was a great way to sample lots of different dishes - particularly for those of us who are not vegans. The main courses were a lot of all the same thing - the nicest one was the Beetburger - the others were either bland (Buttermilk burger) or over-sauced (the Ribs) - the sauce was so rich that my friend, the vegan, was unable to finish the dish. The cocktails were fun but the non-alcoholic beer was not mainstream - we thought they were a bit too specialized in an effort to be cool. The wine selection is too limited for us and the red we chose wasn't a particularly good example of a Shiraz. The staff were very helpful and gave good service and the ambiance was good. As a non-vegan, I don't really understand why most dishes had a meat-related name - although I did like the play on FRYDAY - very clever.

Lovely ambience and staff were lovely. We weren't rushed and were able to sit and chat and relax. Cocktails are a must and the Pecan and Macadamia Tart was to die for!

Waiter was polite young lad and very helpful . Food was great drinks menu was great . Great atmosphere. Over all really enjoyed the experience :)

Great food, a choice but interesting selection of cocktails and really lovely staff. I highly recommend the Korean BBQ cauli burrito!

We came with a family member who is vegetarian so this seemed the perfect choice to cover all bases when I googled. As fully paid up member of the carnivore race I am not averse to trying anything fresh and healthy this restaurant was all that I could have wished for and more. I will definitely go again and tell others.

My 2nd visit and didn’t disappoint. Simple but tasty. Even our omni friends loved it!

As a confirmed carnivore I was surprised at how tasty and filling the food was I had cauliflower burrito and did not miss the meat
I tried some of my wife’s noodle dish and could happily have eaten that
A lovely evening will definitely go again
I only really booked it as it was close to Norwich arts centre but would go and take other carnivores

Fantastic Vegan food and a really quirky, interesting, venue with great staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. Wine selection was limited but he food more than made up for it.

Amazing attentive and knowledgeable staff. Great menu choice and very quick service. Food was lovely and great mixture of stuff to share and stuff to devour yourself. Cocktail choice was great as well. Perfect venue for a night out for us 4 girls!

Inventive, fun naughty but nice cooking! Naughty in its calorie count and feel-good factor, nice in it's no cruelty vegan selection. Highly recommended for fun flavours and delicious sharing dishes.
