Amazing food, brilliant service and a really nice, cosy atmosphere.

Always love the Unthank. Thought we'd try outside because of our size party. Food was as always very good. Service was bit hit and miss - especially when the waitress didn't know the age limits for drinking. Bit noisy too as there was one group of six lads who were a bit loud. Misjudged the cold as well. We all should have wrapped up better. Can't wait to go back inside when we are all able to.

Under the circumstances (with restrictions etc) it was a very enjoyable evening. Food was lovely, service was excellent and the ambience was good too. Many thanks to you all and a Very Happy Christmas.

I have used the outside sitting/ dining area twice over the past 7 days. It’s a convenient location for me and has a few parking spaces, an added Bonus!
The staff are always helpful and friendly, the food hot and tasty, with a good variation to cover all palettes. Blankets and heaters provided-10/10 for effort in these socially miserable times!!

Food was very nice, beer was great (we had Mosaic on tap) and service was friendly and efficient. We sat by an open fire too, which was delightful!

Really great evening, quite cold as heaters weren’t that good however the service was fantastic as was the food.

We ate outside which was freezing! I recognise how much of a struggle it is for everyone at the moment but they had run out of gas for the heater and could definitely have made more of an effort to keep people warm. The food was good but it wasn't piping hot when it arrived and of course cooled very quickly - warmed plates would have helped! Belly of pork and Christmas pudding were fab. Lack of attentive service did not help the scenario.

Overall disappointing I am afraid if you need to eat outside.

This is our second visit here for a Sunday roast, it is absolutely perfect would highly recommend!

Three courses for £23 is great value! We all had the pate for starters which was delicious. All courses were lovely. We felt very festive when we left!

Four of us had an early Christmas dinner in the outdoor area. We felt very comfortable there. We had plenty space and were not crowded. There was a patio heater and infra red heaters on. There was also plenty fresh air. The atmosphere was good and the staff friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our Christmas meals. All at a reasonable price!

Sunday Roasts were excellent despite a tough piece of pork on my own plate but that was offset by a discount off my bill and the fantastic almond treakle tart! The roaring fire made us a little too warm whilst eating but overall highly recommended this pub.

We had a great night!
It was the only place we could find a last minute table for 6 and weren’t expecting much - just expecting regular pub grub.
But we were pleasantly surprised by friendly service, fabulous food and good ambiance! Thank you! We’re so glad we came!

Lovely food and quite busy so more atmosphere than a lot of places at the moment, only negative is if you are sat round the corner the church pew style seating is quite uncomfortable after a while so if you can get a table in the main bar its a bit more comfy

Booked a table for my wife and I and our daughter and 3 grandchildren. Asked for large table so that we could maintain social distancing. Table as requested. Staff were excellent and every effort was made to adhere to social distancing rules - they were masked and we had sanitiser available when required. The Sunday lunch meal was very good and everyone left very satisfied!

Great service and atmosphere. Booking process very easy and for the first time in ages the whole experience felt normal.

Lovely staff , great food , lovely and quiet . Not the usual ambience that this pub usually has as we were first ones in after they opened at 12. Will be going back !
