So pleased we found The View. Amazing food and service. This is a must for a lovely meal out. We will certainly be going back
Menu was very well thought out, and mainly very pleasing. The lack of attention to detail spoiled the meal. The main order was fine but the side dishes were not very warm, and had obviously been left on the pass. The chicken was very moist but bland. We were the first diners and would therefore expect everything to be spot on
Where tables are available spread. Diners further apart.
Great place to eat
Tasty food, interesting variety of meals on the menu all cooked perfectly.
Enjoyed the experience and would eat here again .
Have eaten here on a Sunday quite often and this time it was the best ever. Service, and quality of good was excellent.
They didn’t have beef left on the set menu but provided no alternative- considering we booked a table. 2 guests ended up eating something they didn’t like. The food was then cold when it came out. We travelled from Ipswich as we had previously heard good things, however we won’t come back.
Lovely restaurant with good food but service was slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty
Lovely meal. 😊
Excellent Sunday lunch, would book another meal any time would highly recommend.
Lovely food, great staff but lacked a warm feeling in the restaurant and especially the snug bar, had to ask to turn the heating up........everyone was chilly. The snug bar seemed a little sterile.....maybe some blinds or curtains or even carpet.
Popped in for supper
We have just enjoyed our third visit to The View restaurant and each one has been excellent.
The refurbishment of the All Saints Hotel has been great and the addition of james Can and his team to the View restaurant has made it our ‘go to’ restaurant in the Bury St Edmunds area. We have enjoyed James’ cooking at some of his previous establishments.
On this visit, the bread snacks were delicious, almost a meal in itself, perfectly glass like crust with a soft rub and a hint of sour, worth a visit for the bread alone! Starters of Crab and mackerel were packed full of flavour, colour and texture. Our mains were equally as delicious, perfectly cooked, soft chicken breast, with some bright seasonal veg and a sticky jus, and perfectly pink veal with some middle eastern spicing and yoghurt, both plates looked so appetising, full of colour and we couldn’t wait to tuck in.
We just about had room for dessert and enjoyed Passion fruit pavlova and chocolate mousse, with white chocolate and home made aeros. The pavlova was as light as a feather, with a beautiful fruitiness cutting through the sweet meringue, all set on a lovely crunchy granola base. The chocolate dessert looked amazing, and the vibrant green mint granita, cut through the decadent dark chocolate while the white and dark chocolate aeros melted on the tongue, amazing flavour and textures.
We were extremely well looked after by everybody, and can’t recommend The View highly enough for beautiful food, in a setting with a great view during daylight hours.
When you do visit, you MUST try the taste satin, it has to be as good as it gets!
James and his team have firmly established The View as a dining destination in itself, well done all and see you again soon.

Sunday Roast was very tasty. Set menu on a Sunday with choice of 1,2 or 3 courses. 5 of us had the roast beef which was cooked pink. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Setting is lovely with views over the golf course.
Can fault nothing, the actual view, the staff, the food, the service and decor are all outstanding
