    The Sunday dinner was very good apart from the cabbage which needs to be cooked and not just shown to the boiling water. Overall a really good pub and great service.

    Good ambience inside, nice garden area outside. Food more than acceptable for the price, friendly efficient staff make the Vine a great venue for an evening or lunch dining experience.

    A lovely country pub. The menu is not extensive but the food is all locally sourced and cooked to order and was very nice.

    We had lunch. Not a very inspiring menu but value for money and what we did choose was tasty. Lemon posset dessert was delicious. Service excellent.

    A very enjoyable meal for all, both adults and children. Food very good and attention to detail in sense of making sure you were satisfied, but was done very subtly. Would go back for another meal, very nice atmosphere.

    Such a shame the photos didn’t match the ones on the website, my daughters dinner came out last as well as some of the other meals coming out after people finished

    Nice old pub in the village of Cumnor. Roaring fire, which was very welcoming. Our favourite meal of Liver & Onions was on the specials board and did not disappoint. Service was good, and had a great evening. Would definitely recommend, and will revisit.

    4 of us dining. The starters were very good. Steaks cooked to our liking and very well presented. The landlord although attentive was not to much at the table. Very enjoyable night

    Quite disappointed, looking at other reviews thought it would be amazing. The food was poor Sunday roast was huge portions it look like slop on a plate. The tagliatelle had no taste just like spaghetti and tomato. Staff friendly the pub is very quirky. But no atmosphere sorry to say.

    Sunday lunch, 12.30 table for two. I ordered pâté to start and was a little surprised when it arrived thinly sliced on one piece of warm, not toasted, rustic bread. I tried to spread it but the consistency was too firm, tasted pleasant enough though. We both ordered a roast, one beef, one turkey. Our plates arrived piled high, little Yorkshire pudding plonked on top. My turkey was really tender and tasty but hubby’s beef not so good, apparently quite chewy. Plentiful veg but rather disappointing; overcooked and too mushy for hubby’s liking; he ate the carrot but commented how the rest reminded him of a bad school dinner, even the roast potatoes had a twang, like they’d been cooked and reheated. As for the homemade Yorkshire’s, they were flat, thick and stodgy, a real disappointment. Hubby barely touched his food and couldn’t wait to settle the bill and get out, which was a shame because I’d already eyed up the puddings. However when our bill arrived we were informed the beef dinner had been deducted; we hadn’t complained or asked for it to be removed and I actually said, “there’s no need to do that” but the landlord insisted. Lovely little pub in a cute village, plenty of parking and top marks to the management for the way they handled the situation; just a shame their chef let the side down on this occasion.

    We visited the Vine Inn for Sunday lunch and the food quality was really good. Portion size is massive. Perfect service and staff is really polite and helped with children’s food requirements. We will definitely go back to the Vine Inn.

    Had a meal with my sister’s on a Friday night. Very quiet which was a real shame as the food was delicious and generous portions, (too big for us). Staff very friendly and efficient. Will definitely go again.

    Food was plentiful, really tasty, well cooked and nicely presented. Good table linen, friendly Landlady. Lovely big quiet garden with children's play area. Car park. Set in an interesting village with local country walks. Excellent value for money.

    Garden was lovely and the food was good but but great. Ploughman’s definitely lacking - stale bread and not even a salad to garnish. But the puddings were decent, even if they did take 45 mins to arrive.

    This is really delicious. Leah welcomed us with a warm sincere greeting there was a bit of confusion as to the booking but we settled in the library with a view of the garden beyond. Thank you Richard and enjoyed the real Yorkshire portions. Look forward to returning soon.

    Very welcoming, beautiful garden made better by the fantastic weather, table was booked for 1815. Unfortunately the kitchen was late opening, order not placed until 1900 starters were lovely, however took a little longer than expected as not busy. Mains came out, steak overcooked. This was removed from the bill. Prices are good. All in all lovely place and would go back again.
