Absolutely amazing!! Staff are lovely and kind, food is absolutely incredible and all such good standards. Fantastic guys xx
Hi Amy, Thank you so much for the lovely review. I will pass it on to the rest of the team and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind Regards Luke Front Of House Manager
First time trying our new local and the food was excellent.
Little bit pricey but the standard of food was great but you couldn’t have food all the time sadly!
Our first outing to our local after changing hands. The new management have utterly transformed the place and it’s incredible. We were shown to the heated marquee and with all covid rules in place there we felt very content and safe.
The food on offer was superb and I jumped at the opportunity of the lobster on the specials board. Food was incredible and the offering had completely transformed the place !. There was such a nice buzz and I cannot wait to return in the coming weeks.
Staff were very bubbly and service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
Thanks to Luke and his team at the waggon for such a lovely visit and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Excellent meal with fantastic customer service. Very pleased with how the new management have changed the setting. We will definitely be back!
Poor service. Owner of the pub was very rude and intimidating.
Sadly, after booking a table for 5 people at 18.00, it took the staff an hour to get our drinks delivered. Missing two of our guests drinks... The staff was friendly and one of bartenders did apologise for not letting us know that our chosen wine has run out... Twice.
After being seated for two hours, having placed our order 1.30 before, we were told by the Manager that there was a till issue and they needed to check our order. He did promise our food would be at our table in 15 minutes, but at that time, after being inside for 2 hours, we all decided to call it a night.
The manager did comp our drinks. And we felt he was genuinely apologetic regarding the all issue.
It's a shame, as we really wanted to try the new menu. It looked by far, one of the most interesting menus in the area.
The food here is delicious. You would think you were in a fancy restaurant, but without the pompous staff and sky-high prices. We went on a very sunny Thursday evening, so I think the waitress was a bit too busy, but we didn’t wait too long to order and the food (did I mention it was delicious) came out quickly.
Great T-Bone steak
Great Wagon wheel pudding
Thanks Will try the Tomerhawk next time
This was our third time since the pub opened on Monday and generally our meals were good. No one came to ask if our meals were ok and my sons hate me to complain about anything but basically their steak burgers, they both said, were only just warm which was a little bit disappointing! They both ate the burgers but maybe the warming area for meals waiting needs to be hotter? I am only making these comments as unless somebody says something then others might have the same experience!
Great to have a pub in walking distance with good food.
A really lovely evening. All very covid safe and warm
A renewed venue with a lot to prove and it did. Warm welcome, friendly service and a reasonably priced menu to suit all tastes. Living nearby means we now have somewhere which it has to be said is out with the old and in with the new. Great.
We had a beautiful meal at the Waggon & Horses. The building has been refreshed and feels warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious. We are so happy to have this lovely new restaurant in the village.
Melt in your mouth steak, I had the t bone. Delicious beer battered chips and garlic mushrooms. Will definitely be back A+++
Delicious steak, lovely surroundings and great service!
Lovely food and great service - I think they have hit the ground running!
Great meal but sadly too expensive. £96 for 2 mains and 1 pudding with 3 drinks I don’t think I will be going too often. Hope they bring the bar area back to a proper pub after lock down, but can understand what they are attempting to do at the moment.
Staff were very friendly but the service was a little slow to start. Food was good although a little expensive for families. It’s early days so there is room for improvement. Good luck for the future. The pub is what this village desperately needs to bring everyone together.
Excellent evening had on ‘opening night’ for the Waggon and Horses.
Steak was excellent as was the service. Atmosphere was friendly and warm.
It’s not cheap but was good value for a good quality steak meal.
