Nice pub. Very average food. As we arrived they told us on sundays there is a £25 minimum charge which they eventually waived as I said I did not know anything about this when booking.
Outside area pleasant but no awnings or sun shades.
Service very slow.
The service was virtually no existent, very disorganised
I took my dad and brother for Sunday Lunch.
The Chicken roast was really nice and good value for money. The staff was also very friendly and service was very quick.
Excellent meal very tasty great service bit overboard with the amount of chips the starters were very nice and all round nice evening
Went there for a belated Valentine's dinner. Initially disappointed by the environment and the table allocated. Also, really loud as the football was on...
The food was great and at a very good price! Excellent service by the friendly staff!
Will definitely go there again!
Very friendly staff.
I had the all-day breakfast, which was very big and very tasty.
Go here often, food is great and reasonable, very friendly welcome and service, great to watch big sporting events, dog friendly - can't ask for more!
A really lovely cosy country public house with wonderful ambience, hospitality and a fantastic menu. Will definitely return and happy to recommend. A lot of different nooks and places to settle down and enjoy an evening. Friendly attentive and knowledgeable bar staff.
Stylish old pub with a great atmosphere. Brilliant food with a new extensive menu. Service was excellent and I will definitely return.
Excellent food and attentive service
Great pub with great food!! Loved Christmas lunch here! Thanks for your hospitality!!
Overall good but food was ok. A bit dry lamb sish. Wrong order served but overall service was good
I held a birthday celebration at the Waggon on the 10th November and went back for lunch last Sunday. The best way to give a guide as to what to expect at the Waggon & Horses, we have booked a table for 14 on Christmas day. Would I recommend this establishment? You better believe it.
Hi Stephen, Thank you for your feedback, we are very glad you enjoyed all aspects of your visit. We look forward to having you with us on Christmas Day for our fantastic Xmas Lunch. Kind Regards The Waggon Team
The food was not that great, but the servive and atmosphere were brilliant
We booked a table in advance and turned up with 4 children to take it up - only to be told we would have to wait (outside in the cold) for at least 45 minutes. Considering we had travelled a fair distance to get there we were very disappointed.
Rude and aggressive staff , had to chase for food, when it arrived, was overdone, waiter disappeared, eventually came back and said he could now take the food back to be the kitchen.
Had to speak to the manager, manager said he was prepared to make a discount on the next meal if we returned.
