The food was fantastic. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the crab cake salad. We both felt our meals were very very good.
We also had the wild mushroom dip as an appetizer. “Dip” is a stretch. It was really wild mushrooms sautéed in a butter/cream sauce that, although very tasty, required the use of a spoon (not provided) to put the mushrooms on the provided toasts. Dipping anything into the wild mushroom dip would have been comically ineffective.
Our table was also located in a drafty spot such that my wife couldn’t get comfortable, temperature wise.
But we are definitely looking forward to returning in the future.
This is my second visit to The Warehouse. The food is okay, not great, but okay. Can find much better for the price in Old Town.
The lobster salad was delicious. Restaurant was nice and so were the staff.
Crab was the focus and The Warehouse did not disappoint.
We sat down, and no wait staff talked to us for at least 25 minutes. Once we finally got service, the service was slow. We out in our orders, and after waiting 20 minutes, were told one of the entrees was no longer available. The food was mediocre at best. I will not go back again nor recommend this place to anyone.
We have never gone wrong with the Warehouse. This visit was with two other couples and everyone raved about the experience.
This was our first visit to the warehouse and my experience was a good one. The food we had was good as well as our server.
Very loud with parties going on but the food and service were amazing!!!
Our server was phenomenal and the crab cakes, their specialty, were AMAZING!!!
Having just come from New Orleans, this restaurant didn't do it for me. But two people in my party were pleased with what they had. The horseradish crusted salmon was cooked well, but had no horseradish flavor. The seafood in parchment got good reviews. I found the crab cakes to be ordinary. Good drinks. Management was very accommodating when we mentioned how cold it was in our area of the restaurant.
My son’s 26th Birthday celebration. Great place to dine, the food and service was amazing. The menu had some unique items like alligator and crawfish, very Cajun American but also traditional American food as well. I will definitely patronize this restaurant again.
An outstanding restaurant all around!
My cousin was visiting from New York and it was also my mother’s birthday week, so we decided to go out for lunch. The food and service were exceptional. I had the lobster cobb salad and it was delicious, but there wasn’t much lobster for the $24 price tag. My cousins had the crab cakes and they were extremely pleased with their meals as well! The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that my mom ordered the caramel custard and it was too sweet for her, so she didn’t eat it. I thought it would have been appropriate one a nice gesture to remove it from the bill. There were 4 of us eating and the bill totaled $187!
We went here for brunch. The food was cold. The quality of the food for the prices was not right. We complained our potatoes were cold so the waiter offered to get us new potatoes and those were cold also. I then took a bite of my eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was cold. The egg was over cooked. The yolk was hard, not runny like it should be. The waiter was kind of stumbling all over the place and dropping stuff. Thankfully he didn’t drop anything on any of us. We were very displeased and will not go back. Terrible food and experience.
It was wonderful that they were able to accommodate our request for our “regular” table. It’s our dear friends favorite when they come in to town, but we come here often for lunch, brunch & dinner! Food is consistently very good!
Thanks for the warm welcome Mika!
Treated wonderfully as we walked in, taken to our table , the staff were incredible- so wonderful - taking great care of us - made wonderful recommendations for dinner. The food was impeccably presented and delicious. Peered then temp and prepared spot on! Can’t wait to come back!
Food was great and their were excellent menu options. The service is always great and it was this time as well. It is one of our favorite places to go in Old Town Alexandria.
The Warehouse was delightful for dinner in every way. Good food, Good menu, Good service, Good atmosphere, Good location. What's there not to like about The Warehouse.
Food and service always exceed expectations! If you are ever in the area and get a chance to eat here, try crawfish and shrimp beignets for an appetizer.
Server was rushed and made sure to let us know how busy she was. Food was ok, definitely not good value for the price.
Food, atmosphere and service were top notch. Definitely worth a return trip to try the other wonderful menu items.
I chose off the special menu and the food was not good. My husband picked something off the regular daily menu and he really enjoyed it. We will go again for breakfast. Great location!
Our server was great. Both of us ordered steaks, and each was over-cooked. Server returned our steaks to kitchen and returned with correctly cooked steaks.
We were seated immediately. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious and worth every penny! Perfect place for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a special occasion. They acknowledged the Birthday we were celebrating with a slice of delicious bread pudding, topped with a candle. Can’t recommend enough!
I've patronized The Warehouse since 1973 and while it has changed a great deal over the decades it remains a great place to dine. The food is always well prepared and the service is great. It's great for lunch and dinner but I typically have dinner there. Love the place.
This place is nice to be in, great ambiance, a little noisy but not bad. Food was outstanding. We had a large party of nine and we all had pretty much seafood. Seafood was cooked perfectly. Service was very good and the bill was appropriate for the quality of the food. I would certainly come back.
I hope this is received as opportunity for improvement and hopefully management at the warehouse will step up. First the waiter was rude, I don’t believe on purpose, but due to a lack of training and/or a cultural bias with respect to treatment of woman. He all but ignored my wife. He then sped through to ordering after all but throwing down my wife’s drink which arrived well after my drink. Then I looked at him...like dude ...you just plopped down my wife’s wine such that the liquid in the glass rocked back and forth hitting the rim of the glass. I said we weren’t ready to order and looked at him with disappointment. He picked that visual cue but then push shut the menu shut that I had in my grasp and began to provide the special as he realized he had not gone through the effort to explore those options with us. Then it was the old silent treat...if you want order now, I make you wait, until you all but beg to order. The support staff kept our water glasses full but after 30 minutes we flagged down the waiter for bread which was received like we had ask him for his first born. Apparently, the Warehouse is facing a massive bread shortage, I digress into sarcasm. So he finally returned to take our order after about a 30 wait. Again not totally his fault as he has several small tables but was assigned a 10 top that demanded his attention from the paradigm of the potential tip and the logistics of a table that large. So we decided to split an entree and try some of the yummy appetizers and soup courses. So we ordered: The crab cakes and crab soup as our appetizers and the blackened scallops and shrimp Diane as our main entrees. The soup was awful, the emulsion was broken and had the consistency of a light oatmeal. The crab cakes were fried in oil too long and at a very high temp, almost burnt. The scallops were not properly cooked and under/burnt not blackened. The Shrimp Diane was good. Happy Anniversary? The meal was forgettable but not the over$100 cost.
The Warehouse is my special occasion first choice. Quality food and service ranks top on my list. A meal for two will range from 90.00 to over 100.00 including appetizers. However it is worth every dollar.
Birthday and Wedding Anniversary
We went for an anniversary and our first time there. My spouse was very impressed. The menu selection was diverse; daily specials made it tough to select off the regular menu. Wine selection varied in price and wine type. Classy place with good food.
Great experience as the food and ambience was very good especially the Sunday night special of southern fried chicken. Wait staff was very knowledgeable but struggled a bit to keep up with patrons.
Waiter was top notch
We loved the restaurant and food! We were able to sit outside on a beautiful fall evening so it was quiet and also fun to people-watch. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, as well. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 30th anniversary!
As always, excellent food and service. The special half lobster and parchment baked shrimp and scallops exceptional.
The best restaurant in Old Town Alexandria. Service is always superb, regardless if it’s business lunch or special evening dinner. I highly recommend it to people who love great food and excellent environment.
We went to The Warehouse for our anniversary and it was fantastic. I got the Seafood sampler and my husband got the NY Strip. The steak was perfectly cooked and the amount of seafood I got was substantial for the price. Our server was so sweet and made sure we well taken care of. They gave us an amazing bread pudding for our anniversary. It was just so good and we normally go for a chocolate dessert. Overall the experience was amazing. We will definitely be back.
The table was ready upon arrival. The wait staff were very friendly and responsive. The menu offered something for both of us but was on the more expensive side. I felt that I did get what I paid for and left feeling very satisfied.
Definitely recommend the Lobster Cobb Salad!
