The food was very nice and the staff were attentive but discreet. We went for Sunday lunch and went got the 2 course option which was very reasonable. I had the belly pork and my wife had the salmon. I especially enjoyed the roast potatoes.

Most of the food was over salted, to the point it was impossible to eat or.
Some combinations of ingredients didn’t make sense. We ordered beef carpaccio as a started, but you cannot feel the taste of meat, only beetroot which went with it.
We also ordered pheasant which was extremely salty to the point we had to return the dish and complain.
I had very high expectations of the restaurant when booked a table as I saw very positive reviews but was very disappointed.

The menu didn't match the one on the website and there was no set menu. It was nice food but it wasn't nice enough for the huge price

Excellent food, perfectly cooked and with larger portions than before. A very warm welcome, friendly and professional service, convenient location. We were seated in the furthest corner presumably in case our two children misbehaved. It was cosy and actually nice to have a quieter area where we could chat and enjoy our food. We were there for Sunday lunch but with several empty tables, the restaurant was also functioning as a cafe, with tourists popping in just for coffee and singing along loudly to the soundtrack.

We had a starter each and a main course of pork, we also had 2 sides of creamy cabbage and carrots. The food was amazing, amongst the best we've had. It was a little expensive but I'm happy to ignore that as the food was that good.

I never usually leave food on my plate - I did here!

“Have a seat at the bar while you’re waiting for your partner” but no service, no offer of a drink, just left to pour my own peanuts from a a bag I found behind the bar!!

Starters, three tiny overcooked scallops, overly salted baked beetroot - both very poor.

Mains, an odd lamb concoction (a lot of parsley, not much meat) and a beef brisket so dry and chewy I left it! Overcooked and not hot carrots.

Pudding, a home made Mars bar, hard and chewy but oddly flavourless other than sweet and sickly!

Good coffee though and the service was attentive if a little self-justifying.

Not even sure we got the advertised 20% discount, we were so keen to leave. Never again.

A quirky restaurant with original, innovative dishes, lovely attentive waiters, live pianist a lovely addition. Little touches like amuse-bouche and macaroons to finish the meal much appreciated which made the evening very special indeed.

This was the first time at The Warren for us and I would recommend anyone to try it but I would suggest going on any other day but Sunday. We went for lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. In terms of the food, the starter was very good (we each had the scallops) but the main course was, frankly, mediocre. My husband had the roast lamb and I had the roast beef - they were both served warm, not hot - and my beef was chewy with not much flavour. The vegetables (a selection) were mixed, the carrots were very good but the broccoli was too undercooked. Also, I asked the waitress not to serve me the yorkshire pudding (as it is not a favourite of mine) and she simply said that it was served on the side so I could take it or leave it. I found this very strange - I do not like waste and knew in advance that I would not eat it, hence my request. We did not have a dessert. In terms of service, we found the waiter who greeted us initially to be a bit pushy. We decided to have a drink at the bar before lunch and half way through our aperitif he asked whether we wanted to go through to the table (even though he had not invited us to order any food). He had not explained what any of the menus were, but had simply thrust (literally) them at us as we sat down in the bar.

So disappointing! Have had several great dining experiences here so much so that I booked Sunday lunch for my mums birthday.
We felt rushed to order, were told the beef could only be served medium rare and therefore brisket was recommended as an alternative for those wishing the beef well done. It was awful, a dry overcooked chunk of beef with a charcoal taste. The food was lukewarm at a push with barely any gravy. We asked for more, twice, it didn’t come. My food was returned to the kitchen for warming and took a considerable time to come back minus the carrots which were on my plate so I went without. After this the extra gravy was brought out by which time the rest of the party had finished their meal, although the brisket was pretty much left untouched. The cost of the main meal was waived but it really spoiled what were were hoping would be a memorable occasion. It has been pointed out that 2 members of staff had not turned up for work but I don’t feel that should have affected the quality of the food or service. My partner has booked here for our Valentines Meal in a couple of weeks so I do hope we have the excellent standard of service and food that we are normally used to in this quirky and beautiful restaurant

The food, service and venue were all lovely and up to expectations. One observation: The music was discreet but a bit on the pop side - all my party would have preferred jazz or classical as ambiance for a serious restaurant. This is not a complaint but is a strong preference!

A very good meal. Not for those wanting 'simple' food. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening. Piano player was good. The sort of thing that usually irritates me but added something to the atmosphere and wasn't intrusive. Service was pretty good and food excellent. Not huge portions but was sufficient. My guest and I agreed often too much served up for women so not intimidated by quantity.
A worthwhile difference to other establishments in Tunbridge wells.
I will return.

The food was incredible and so was the atmosphere. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Only point I would make is once we were seated it took a while for someone to take our drink order. But other than that it was perfect

Nice ambience and setting, however the food was over fussed with as seems to be so common in restaurants now. I am getting really fed up with unrecognisable food which has been messed with so much that I can’t even identify the original ingredients. If you like your food like this, then please give it a go. I just long for really good quality simple food. (Try Rules in London or the Wolsey if you love good food cooked simply like me).
We came here a year or so ago and had a barbecue which I enjoyed far more. It consisted of good ingredients simply presented.
To their credit, they did not charge me for the lobster Thermidor ravioli starter which was really disappointing. It bore no relation to lobster thermadore and consisted of ravioli with some chopped ?lobster (could have been any seafood) swamped by an dark red unpleasant soup (no idea what that was).
My main of sea bass was pretty good, but not amazing. Pudding was too fussy for me, including cinnamon ice cream which was unpleasant.
My partner enjoyed his Jacob’s ladder and butternut squash and sweet corn gnocchi. To be honest he’s very easy to please though. Our guests were polite so it was difficult to judge their food.
The wines were great though. Some of my favourites were on the list so that was good.

We had a booking - first time customers. Welcome distinctly frosty. Receptionist literally threw our coats into the cloakroom and rushed us to our table. Were served water and then waited half an hour for waitress to take our order. Food was ok but nothing special. Wine was good (but fairly average restaurant prices so should be good). Dessert was distinctly average. Ambiance was ok, but it was so dark we could hardly see the food.Service from start to finish was terrible. It's such a shame as the location is excellent and the concept is good, it's just poorly executed from start to finish.

The staff at the Warren are excellent. Attentive and enthusiastic. The food was really lovely. We were originally sat in the back which was not a great atmosphere but without us asking we were moved to the orangery when a table became free. Much better! Warmer and with views.
Expensive but delicious food.

A 3 course lunch service took 2 hours and 20 minutes from sitting down to bill arriving. In that time, we were only checked in on once to see if we were ok for drinks. This was despite the restaurant only being about half-full.

The food was good. Everything we ate was to a high standard, but not exceptional enough to justify the very slow service.

The complimentary amuse bouche was a nice touch, but I think that a pork bonbon that contains offal is a risky choice to serve every diner - given that offal is somewhat challenging to some diners.

The optional service charge was still included on our bill despite the horrifically slow service which we thought was cheeky. If anything, the bill should have been discounted to apologise for the service.

Nice ambience in the restaurant, with friendly staff but only really just attentive enough. Food was trying a little too hard, and was pretty expensive for a Tunbridge Wells location. The presentation was a overly fussy and the flavours just good enough. First wine choice from a limited carte not available. Overall cost was high for the experience. Fairly typical of Tunbridge Wells.
