The food, service and venue were all lovely and up to expectations. One observation: The music was discreet but a bit on the pop side - all my party would have preferred jazz or classical as ambiance for a serious restaurant. This is not a complaint but is a strong preference!

A very good meal. Not for those wanting 'simple' food. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening. Piano player was good. The sort of thing that usually irritates me but added something to the atmosphere and wasn't intrusive. Service was pretty good and food excellent. Not huge portions but was sufficient. My guest and I agreed often too much served up for women so not intimidated by quantity.
A worthwhile difference to other establishments in Tunbridge wells.
I will return.

The food was incredible and so was the atmosphere. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Only point I would make is once we were seated it took a while for someone to take our drink order. But other than that it was perfect

Nice ambience and setting, however the food was over fussed with as seems to be so common in restaurants now. I am getting really fed up with unrecognisable food which has been messed with so much that I can’t even identify the original ingredients. If you like your food like this, then please give it a go. I just long for really good quality simple food. (Try Rules in London or the Wolsey if you love good food cooked simply like me).
We came here a year or so ago and had a barbecue which I enjoyed far more. It consisted of good ingredients simply presented.
To their credit, they did not charge me for the lobster Thermidor ravioli starter which was really disappointing. It bore no relation to lobster thermadore and consisted of ravioli with some chopped ?lobster (could have been any seafood) swamped by an dark red unpleasant soup (no idea what that was).
My main of sea bass was pretty good, but not amazing. Pudding was too fussy for me, including cinnamon ice cream which was unpleasant.
My partner enjoyed his Jacob’s ladder and butternut squash and sweet corn gnocchi. To be honest he’s very easy to please though. Our guests were polite so it was difficult to judge their food.
The wines were great though. Some of my favourites were on the list so that was good.

Quite simply the best food in T Wells.
Superbly presented, quality ingredients and fabulous flavours.

Lovely food, well prepared and presented. Short but well chosen wine list. Shame about the Xmas party, which distracted from the ambience a bit.

Lovely host - interested but not intrusive. We both had fish pie excellent. A’s starter was good and my dessert ditto.

£50 incl tip and 2 drinks for lunch.

Definitely a repeat.

We had a booking - first time customers. Welcome distinctly frosty. Receptionist literally threw our coats into the cloakroom and rushed us to our table. Were served water and then waited half an hour for waitress to take our order. Food was ok but nothing special. Wine was good (but fairly average restaurant prices so should be good). Dessert was distinctly average. Ambiance was ok, but it was so dark we could hardly see the food.Service from start to finish was terrible. It's such a shame as the location is excellent and the concept is good, it's just poorly executed from start to finish.

The staff at the Warren are excellent. Attentive and enthusiastic. The food was really lovely. We were originally sat in the back which was not a great atmosphere but without us asking we were moved to the orangery when a table became free. Much better! Warmer and with views.
Expensive but delicious food.

We were slightly disappointed with our meal at the Warren- we had a long wait between courses, the food, although good, the portion sizes were very small considering how much we paid, and the restaurant was cold! We probably won’t return again.

We have been meaning to try this restaurant for many years and for some reason just never got around to it, well how stupid have we been! So decided to try this for my girlfriends birthday and what a lovely surprise. Everything was perfect and the food simply delicious...loved everything about this place. If you haven't been....book now, you will not be disappointed.

A 3 course lunch service took 2 hours and 20 minutes from sitting down to bill arriving. In that time, we were only checked in on once to see if we were ok for drinks. This was despite the restaurant only being about half-full.

The food was good. Everything we ate was to a high standard, but not exceptional enough to justify the very slow service.

The complimentary amuse bouche was a nice touch, but I think that a pork bonbon that contains offal is a risky choice to serve every diner - given that offal is somewhat challenging to some diners.

The optional service charge was still included on our bill despite the horrifically slow service which we thought was cheeky. If anything, the bill should have been discounted to apologise for the service.

Nice ambience in the restaurant, with friendly staff but only really just attentive enough. Food was trying a little too hard, and was pretty expensive for a Tunbridge Wells location. The presentation was a overly fussy and the flavours just good enough. First wine choice from a limited carte not available. Overall cost was high for the experience. Fairly typical of Tunbridge Wells.

We had a wonderful evening at The Warren. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, friendly and warm. It was my brother’s 60th birthday. We were given a perfect table, and a special birthday dessert was brought for him. We would definitely recommend this special restaurant.

Service slow, ignored most of the time. Ran out of Roast Beef, not good when you go for Sunday Roast.
Had the Pork which was good but would not have been my first choice.
Also, ran out of Scallops .
Macaroons , awful... avoid .

Table booked for 8pm, on arrival we were told there would be a wait due to a large table arriving late, which is understandable. However we were not seated until almost 1 hour later so a complementary drink at the bar would have been nice in response to the waiting time.
After sitting at the table, the service was extremely slow. Ordered a glass of wine, which arrived 30 minutes later and had to re ask twice for water for the table which arrived 20 minutes after being seated.
The food was good but we found it to be quite expensive for portion size.
We had waited quite a while to try this restaurant as reviews had been good however we were really disappointed with the overall experience.

The restaurant was nice enough with reasonable food but failed to bring water we ordered and also provided an incorrect bottle of champagne (£21 more expensive than the one we ordered). This restaurant is trying to be high end but just not quite delivering in food or service. Nice enough but wouldn’t return

We booked a table for 2 at The Warren as The Ivy was full. There were many empty tables though it was Saturday evening. I found the room chilly and had to sit with my coat over my shoulders. The food was imaginatively presented and tasted good but the plates were cold. Also the live piano music was too loud and became relentless after a while. We had one starter, 2 mains, no desert and 675ml (2 x 250ml and 1 x 175ml) of house wine plus water. The bill which included service was £135.

A special treat for my wife's 40th birthday party, I could not have wished for more from here. She absolutely loved every part of the meal; from the devine and amazing food itself, to the friendly, attentive and polite waitress tending to our every need. The monkfish was to die for; the steak didn't touch the sides and the duck fat roasties...wow!!! A surprise cake with obligatory sparkler when the bill was given to us, topped the whole experience off. Could not fault any part and would recommend in a flash. Thank you all at the Warren for making not only mine, but my wife's evening birthday meal such a memorable one.

We had the most perfect birthday dinner, the evening was special, the staff were charming and the service was excellent - efficient and unobtrusive.
The food was perfect in everyway - I have coeliacs and every care was taken to ensure that my meal was safe, delicious and beautiful on the plate. Some restaurants offer pretty dull fare for special diets, the Warren were fantastic. The menu was varied with a wide range of choices, everything was beautifully presented and the flavours were mouth-watering, no over or under seasoning here...
The cocktails were beautiful - we had gimlets, the wine choices excellent and the special plate with the sparkler for the birthday girl was wonderful
All together with the pianist providing beautiful background music we could not recommend The Warren highly enough!

My meat based dishes were all very good and well presented, if a little light on vegetables. The bread was freshly made and great butter too. My fish dish had a good taste but too much oil remaining and a slick on the plate. My wife had a vegetarian selection which was very poor - promised a courgette flower which did not appear, the only flavour was cheese sauce and the vegs were deep fried....DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN...the staff were good however and removed some of the price of the meal due to immediate feedback given - will only go back with carnivores! Nice to have real piano music as background
