   Staff were lovely but the food and decor was outdated and there was a lack of ambience. We went on a date night but it felt a bit soulless and we just wanted to finish and get out to go to a bar. Feel a bit crappy saying that as the staff were as friendly as anything, but also wish we’d have seen a more honest review before going. I’m my opinion, the whole place needs a good clean and a declutter and a lick of paint. Food okay (although hubby’s steak was great apparently) x

   This was the worst meal I’ve had in years. I had coconut prawns to start which tasted of nothing, the whole dish bland. My don had oysters which were not on ice and not chilled ugh I then had the lamb which was tasteless mush with vouscousz Awful and tasted horrible. My son had fillet steak which was supposed to be medium. It was so rare it could have walked out. Whole meal gross They took lamb off menu because I complained. Big deal still £120 for glorified pub food.

   We took lunch at the Warren during our shopping trip to Tunbridge Wells. The food was great and the service was excellent. Food was served in a bright and airy conservatory above the shops below. It's air conditioned so it was quite comfortable in the hot summer sun. The restaurant has a pleasing interior with quirky furniture and additions. In conclusion, a great independent restaurant to eat and relax in.

   Superb attentive service made for enjoyable experience in a very attractive space. Food looked and tasted wonderful. All felt very fresh and seasonal. We had the place to ourselves on a hot sunny lunchtime, but the air con kept the room comfortable. Worth a visit!

    Nice welcome, pleasant ambience, small but imaginative menu. Their basic white wine was a very pleasant vin de table, a bit pricey. Our snails and mussels were both excellent, as were the duck breast and salad nicoise - outstanding seared tuna steak. Having already spent £120 before discount, we did not explore dessert.

    Ref my food...the steak was very hard...I could not eat it. I asked to change the knife...but the knife was not the problem..as i found out was the meat. So, looking for a good supplier and been careful with the choice are needed. Despite of that... I loved the experience and ambience. I am going back.

    Unfortunately for us the restaurant had a party of 15 seated which made the noise level so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk. The group in their defence weren’t a rowdy group but when everybody is talking over each other it echoed in that part of the restaurant, in the end we had to move to another table to finish our meal somewhere quieter. It would have been polite of the restaurant if they had warned us instead to seating us next to them. Having said all that, we will definitely go back there.

    A very enjoyable special Father’s Day Sunday lunch. Excellent food, wine and service. Only reason for giving a four out of five on noise was that we had one very loud spoken gentleman behind us. The team were very happy to look after my daughters suitcase during lunch which was much appreciated. Thank you

    We popped in for lunch recently to check out the Warren in anticipation of having our Wedding meal there later in the year. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and were eager to show us around and talk about our plans. The ambiance of the place is like no other, it is eccentric, quirky and fun. Considering the calibre of the food it is also very reasonably priced. I had a vegetarian main course consisting of king oyster mushrooms and cauliflower. It was amazing, flavours I didn't even know you could get out of such a vegetarian dish. Fantastic, and highly looking to coming back later in the year to celebrate our wedding!

    Food was mostly good, but very pricey for what it was. My main was lukewarm at best, they forgot to give us our bottle of wine and the food/drinks didn’t always come in the right order.

    What a joy to have such an extraordinary restaurant in Tunbridge Wells. The decor is not like any other, the food is imaginative and the service is gracious. We loved the very garlicky Dorset snails. The comfit of duck was the plumpest, most succulent ever and the lamb could be cut with a fork. But really outstanding is the lovely Magdalena - who creates the most potent cocktails and just makes everything so much fun.

    Our experience was great. We celebrated our son’s 16th bday on June 3! Great food and the staff were all fantastic in dealing with my requests. The manager Magdalena made sure that my son’s bday is worth remembering. They sang and provided a happy bday plate with candle of macaron and salted caramel pudding. My son was sooo happy and delighted. Will dine again. And will recommend to friends!

    We have always loved the Warren, the staff are so lovely and friendly, the food is delicious and the service is excellent. It was a joint birthday for my partner and I and we brought along our 5 year old and 4 month old and it was memorable

    Overall was a good evening. The fillet steaks were both overcooked which we wouldn’t expect for the price. We would have stayed for an extra drink after our meal, however, a gentleman at another table ordered Moules which smelt horrendous. I love moules but the smell was rancid, There was no way we could sit there in the smell. I really hope the man wasn’t poorly after eating them.

    Always a great dining experience … we go to The Warren regularly and really enjoy the warm welcome, fresh baked bread and the menu that changes in line with seasonal ingredients. Ask to sit in the conservatory to get a nice view over the high street. Highly recommended

    The food is good but the decor of the restaurant is really not to our liking. Bronze walls and chandeliers and just looked rather bizarre. Service was good but let down by obvious irritation when the repeat enquiries about whether we wanted cocktails were declined.

    Our visit to the Warren as a mixed bag. The general manager of engaging outside to have drinks before a meal. It kind of went downhill after that we were offered bread to start and animals bush which were lovely we both had prawns to start they would like rubber bullets, awful! Also both had a lamb for main meal. Although I quite enjoyed it the lamb was very rare and my husband can’t eat it like that. The coffee was quite bitter and my husbands dessert was very average. We won’t be rushing back

    We visited The Warren for the first time on a cycle ride through the area and the quality of the food, service and ambience well exceeded our expectations. Starting out with complimentary bread and a "shot" of a chilled asparagus soup was delightful and so refreshing. Entrees for both of us were delicious - the king prawns with finely diced tomatoes & crispy tiny croutons was particularly outstanding. Both of us had lamb as our mains and it was again cooked to perfection. A smokey babaganoush went very well with the lamb and was a creative addition to the vegetables. I would return to The Warren just to try the rhubarb soufflé again which was simply Michelin star quality. Light fluffy, highly risen and served with poached fruit on the side and a sorbet. Superb. The whole service team were super friendly and efficient also. The "conservatory" setting of the restaurant is very light and airy and stylish. Overall, I'd highly recommend The Warren - our experience was stellar all round.

    Really disappointing. The food was well below average. We booked this place because of the Michelin guide recommendation but my local pub is far better. Wouldn’t recommend.
