I haven't a clue how this restaurant was as open table never had the decency to tell me it was permanently closed. Not only that but they had the cheek to send me a reminder of my booking and now I've to review it???? Really, you know its closed, pity you didn't share the information with me!! Extremely poor service and I will never use your site again and I'll be recommending that others don't either.
This restaurant is permanently closed, so I did not have dinner here. It wasn't possible to cancel my reservation due to this fact.
Very quiet when we arrived for lunch so hadn’t needed to book. In spite of how quiet it was the service was still pretty slow and there were several things on the menu not available.
Really nice bar, pretty good burgers/hot dogs etc.
Really cool decor and theme .
Worth a visit
Managed to get a table on a festival night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, food and service. Will definitely be back.
Had an excellent meal after a fringe show! The service was a bit slow and we had to ask for napkins and cutlery but the staff were very friend and happy to help when we did ask. Unfortunately they had run out of dough so we couldn’t have garlic bread but the food we did have was great!! I definitely recommend the gin and juice cocktail and will be going back without a doubt!
Very loud rap music, a long wait for food and poor service. More of a club than a restaurant
We ate here our first night in Edinburgh, mostly because it was within walking distance and available when we wanted to eat. We were very pleased when we arrived. They position it as an American Bar in Edinburgh, but it felt pretty Scottish to me, which delighted us. Flexible seating with tables and counter seating. Our "counter seats" were actually looking out a window, so great for people watching during the Festival.
I thought the food was amazing here and the service was good. Only thing was the music was far too loud for having dinner. The music was great (as in to my choice) but we couldn’t hear each other and people gave up speaking.
Food portions very small and definitely not worth the price paid on the menu. Wouldn’t go back.
The tortilla chips used in the nachos were the best I've ever tasted.
Excellent food and service.Really enjoyed our visit and would recommend to friends.
Poor service by staff, took 20 minutes to get the bill after asking for it twice and reminding them.
Had booked a table but the restaurant was not busy. We both ordered burgers but mine were so pink I was afraid to eat them. Did not send them back as we were going to a show so had no time. The waiter was sympathetic, apologised and did not charge for 1 meal. We found the location was good for Festival events and Museum
Such an amazing place with very friendly staff
We all had the wings and pitcher of beer for £15. It was very busy. The wings seemed to be just cooked and no more, not very flavoursome and took a very long time to be delivered. The staff were all very pleasant.
Great cocktails, burgers and the service is excellent. Make sure and have wings
Great bar staff mixing up great cocktails. If it’s not on the menu just ask.
The food was great, kinda American classics.
Good food and efficient friendly service. Perfect for an afternoon out.
Great for a quick meal before going to Festival Theatre across the road. Staff were friendly and efficient Background music good.
went for a birthday meal the food was amazing and service was exceptional would highly recommended this place to anyone
The burgers were very basic, small bun and no extra garnish.
The cocktails that where on the offer were very limited, choice of 4 and they came out very small.
The only bonus to our visit was the male waiter, very friendly and made us feel welcomed.
Ordered Wings, Fries and A Burger at about 6.10pm the food didn't arrive until just after 7pm.
To be fair, the guy came and apologised saying there was only 1 chef on and it was very busy for food. We were the only people in when our order went in, the couple that came in after us had finished their starters for a good 20 mins before ours came out. I think it was an excuse for a missing check though, not the chef's fault.
Once the food did arrive it was really good. I would give it another try.
Food was ok but service poor.Very slow and didn’t take a drinks order until after we ordered the food.
The server forgot. Was looking forward to this but quite disappointed.
Overall a fab night with friends however I feel staff are rushed about and we were forever waiting on drinks for the table.
Cool, friendly staff & great value £5 lunch deal in a nicely decorated place - well worth a fiver!
Went for some food before the show .. staff were great very relaxed atmosphere great food and very reasonable. Will be back for sure.
Warm welcome, good service & very tasty burger and chicken. Enjoyed the sweet potato fries also. Would certainly use again if in the locality.
Second visit here and the skinny chicken burger was worth the wait. Excellent value for money and a great vibe about the place. Think an additional memeber of waiting staff at lunch time on a friday woukd be beneficial.
My friend and I had a great feed ne for a fiver meal for lunch. There are healthy options available as well as other tasty treats too. The staff are friendly. The gin looks good too 😊
Disappointed with food, vegetarian options were pretty bad, jackfruit burger was tiny portion, veg hotdog was dried up lump of unrecognisable ingredients, presentation was bad. This is probably fine for a student slap up feed but we were not impressed. My daughters orange and lemonade drink was flat and tasted bitter. Sorry but won’t be returning.
Was really good, think our Groupon discount was calculated incorrectly so paid a wee bit more than expected but great vibe, good fast service and great music!
Defo be back here
First and last visit to this place. We were pre theatre ...food was late and COLD with no time left to return. Service was appalling and no compensation for the cold food which wasn't even eaten. My advice DON'T GO
Burgers were raw, fries were cold, music was that loud you had to shout to each other. Cant find anything good to say about this place.
Been here before and enjoyed it at that time. This time, however, did disappoint. The nachos were thick like cardboard and the melted cheese was clearly processed cheese. We requested pulled pork as an extra topping, but the portion size was not worth the extra £2. The burgers were ok, onion rings were undercooked but the chips were good.
Great food. Service a little disorganised, although apologised due to having new staff members. Staff were friendly.
Best Philly cheese steak outside Philadelphia.
Good place to taste the American menu, good Eat for a fiver offer but the sides (chips) not included and obviously the drinks are on top of that as well. Overall, still good value for money for us (four persons). Our kids loved the hot dogs and the burgers were really tasty with some fancy combinations, really tasty and unusual. I recommend the place especially if you like something a bit different and like to try classic food with a twist. Good service and the food arrived in no time.
Cool place but we made a reservation to dine and were told after we arrived and ordered a drink that the kitchen had closed two hours ago even though we made a reservation. Staff was unsympathetic and surprised we could ever make a reservation. Nice people and cool vibe but not why we came here
Decent food and ambience, but the worst service I've had for a long time. The servers were non-existent, and we were never offered sauces with our food, a second drink, or asked if our food was OK. We had to go on a hunt to find somebody to bring the bill. If the service was a bit more attentive (or even existent!) we would have enjoyed our experience far more.
I would not recommend this diner. The servers were pleasant enough but overall service was slow. The food was horrible, I had nachos which arrived cold although some of the nachos were burnt black. They had a revolting cold, slimey, plasticy cheese sauce and tasteless jalapenos. If we had not been going to the theatre we would have gone elsewhere.
