Went for a meal with my boyfriend and got served by two lovey girls. Food was amazing!
Lovely Sunday roast, and very attentive friendly staff.
A small menu of very good pub classics
First time at the White Hart since a refurb. Food was tasty and plentiful and service was friendly.
Overall a very good experience, so a thumbs up from us.
Food choice was limited but we all found something we liked. Prices have gone up but understandably I guess. Service was good though think some other guests had to wait a while for food. We enjoyed the evening.
Food was lovely, we both had the smokie. Potions were generous. Service was excellent and all staff very friendly and attentive. The only negative was the price. The menu has gone up in price noticeably so since reopening with new owners. We shared a starter, 2 x smokies for main and shared a bottle of house white which cost in total £30 a head (with 10% tip added)
Good choice of excellent food. Recommended: Lamb shepherds pie & Lemon posset. Charming staff. Nice outdoor garden. Not too rammed. 5*. Many Thanks
Our first visit since the change of management and new chef and menus. We where all very impressed with the quality and taste of our meals and we will definitely return soon. This was a Thursday so the restaurant was not that busy but the service we received was excellent and very attentive. The only slight issue was that no barbecue sauce was available when requested for the buffalo wings even though the sauce was on the dish and some extra was requested but a very minor issue which did not detract from the overall experience.
There were quite a few occupied tables so it felt busy, the service was courteous, efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious but only a limited choice. we felt comfortable to stay for a couple of hours. I would recommend the White Hart.
First time we have been in a pub since lockdown and also with new management of premises. Lovely and quiet for us but probably too quiet if you were looking for atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered two roast dinners that stated they came with seasonal vegetables and were advised to order a dish of vegetables as well. Think the wording needs to change on the main course as there were only roast vegetables on the plate but the additional single serving of extra vegetables were more than enough for the two of us and were beautifully cooked. Shared a dessert too as the portions were very generous. Prices were what we expected and the quality and quantity reflected the £16 per meal. We will be returning as we enjoyed our meal and were offered discount vouchers off the 'sister' pub in ownership. A great return to pub eating.
First time back - now under new management. Good menu and the food was tasty and well presented. Service was a little slow but we are all getting back into going out and running a pub so not a problem.
Good service and seating but the food was overpriced and not good
Super delicious food and beautiful decor! Will be back again
The food was good for me but my Step father didn't like his schnitzel.
Lovely decor nice garden at rear but on night I was there looked like they needed more staff or better organized as different staff served our table resulting in long wait to be served
food great service was very slow, would go again as food was good
Sunday roast was disappointing compared to our previous one which was excellent. A poor comparison.
Great food, excellent service, would recommend the Whitehart
We are coming back for sure. Food was great and the staff was friendly.
Delicious food for meat eaters & vegetarians. Service quick, friendly & efficient.
The food was amazing and they helped cater for 2 elderly and a child. Really can’t fault them . The child’s meal was brilliant it came with carrot and cucumber sticks and a dip until the meal arrived it also included a soft drink a meal and some ice cream. Lovely staff and nice clean restaurant.
Visited for Sunday roast. Initially placed in the conservatory area. The noise levels were awful as the room is very echoey. We asked to be moved and after asking twice this then happened. Drinks were quick although we had to get a waitresses attention to order food.
The food was a roast beef and pork. Both were really poor. The beef was chewy and try yet impossible to cut due to the fat in the meat. The potatoes were undercooked inside but dry and overcooked in outside. It felt like they had been kept warm for a long time. The veg was over cooked and stodgy.
I highlighted the problems to a waitress and her reply was that she would let the kitchen know and get a steak knife. However it remained impossible to cut even with this.
I had to complain a second time and as a result they refunded one of the meals. I then went to a neighbouring pub for lunch.
Acknowledging staff are out of practise or new with lockdown having just being lifted I recognise it’s tough. But at the prices being charged I expected a lot better standard of food and I think the response was lacking.
Very noisy! Quite slow service but helpful staff. Food was tasty but a bit overpriced for what it was.
I’d go back but maybe on a week day when it’s not so busy.
Food excellent again. Friendly staff. Some newbies need a little training but nothing serious.
Very much enjoyed our first meal as a group of 6 at the White Hart. Relatively small menu , and every dish we had was excellent. We will be back .
We had booked outside but they moved my booking inside as it was cold. There was 24 of us and they spaced us correctly, and they coped with all our orders efficiently.
Very welcoming. Good friendly service. Will definitely be returning
Excellent food. Friendly staff. We’ll def be back!
Lovely big garden for outside dining. Polite staff members .
Lovely lunch outside, great service. We will be back !!
Have visited twice in last few weeks, lovely garden and cheerful helpful staff.
Food was all round amazing and wasn’t too pricey
A good choice for outdoor dining. Free off street parking. Dog and wheelchair friendly. Great pub food. Quick service. Parasol for every table.
Great little village pub serving decent, well-priced food. Service is warm and friendly, if a little haphazard. We had to wait a little for our food but not so long you would need to complain. We’d certainly come back.
An excellent village pub making the absolute best of the COVID situation, brilliant staff, good food, pints etc
Absolutely fabulous food. Really cannot recommend highly enough. Arancini were perfect and the Shepherd’s pie was way over expectations (beautiful slow-cooked lamb rather than mince). Pudding was a Bailey’s crème brûlée with a shortbread on the side. Delicious and beautifully presented. Wine also very good indeed.
Lovely staff. Pretty courtyard seating.
New favourite place! Already booked a table for mid week.
Ladies lunch! - although we sat outside due to current restrictions with slightly chilly weather - the food, service and overall experience was very positive - we look forward to returning in warmer weather and when we can also sit inside! Highly recommend !
We felt really comfortable in the garden with the tables well spaced. The service and the food were excellent. The staff were friendly and competent. Will be back.
Have now been a couple of times since re-opening and can say the service is great and the food is the same amazing!!
Lovely couple of hours in sun. Excellent food and service!
I was a little put off by some more negative reviews but the place was absolutely great. The food was out of this world and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There is plenty of space in the garden and it is a real sun trap. We will be back again next weekend if there is availability.
A cosy enclosed garden with good service and atmosphere, yummy food and the great weather helped too!! Thank you!
