Service was a bit slow, but the waitress was new so perhaps a one off, the table we were seated at was very wobbly which was sorted out by the waitress with some quick DIY. Food was quick and very tasty. Would go back again.

The food was lovely and we had a very enjoyable evening. Noise level was about right. However, the place is rather spoilt by some incredibly annoying light fittings which are positioned just over the tables and have a very sharp point just at head height. They are very distracting and dangerous, though the staff were very kind and pointed out to everyone when they were too close and in danger of hurting themselves. They really need changing. Otherwise the refit is very nice.

The atmosphere is very good. The lighting is soft and just right. My scallops were a tiny bit underdone, but that's probably just a matter of taste. My beef burger was slightly overcooked, I would have asked for medium if it was optional. Service a little bit on the slow side seeing as the restaurant wasn't overly busy. I've had lovely meals here before though so I think it all evens out in the end. Overall we love the White Horse and look forward to visiting.

Shoved in a corner whole better tables were free. Cost seemed a little on the high side

Just went for a casual lunch with a friend. Very friendly and helpful staff. We sat outside as weather was lovely and we both enjoyed our salads. In short proved to be a perfect choice.

Excellent food in a cosy pub setting. The menu offered lots of interesting seasonal dishes, along with a few pub classics. Our choices were well presented and both the meat and vegetables were beautifully cooked. It's not cheap but the quality was worth it!

On the downside, the service was rather slow but to be fair they recognised this and gave us free coffees - really great.

If I was being picky I would say that the drinks need more attention: our cocktails were tasteless with so much ice in them and we were disappointed at the lack of chocolates/mini biscuits with the coffees which we'd expect from a quality venue. Otherwise, it was pretty good and we'll certainly be back.
