Best Sunday roast in the village!!
Great country pub, with a good sized restaurant and garden seating.
Staff are pleasant and helpful and service is always good.
Would thoroughly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Great pub expensive starters. Lack of choice to be fair. Noise levels a little loud. Staff okay depends on who serves you.

We like the pub and it has a good atmosphere however on this occasion we felt that the roast beef Sunday lunch was let down by the beef being a bit tough. Service has been better on this occasion it was a little indifferent and a little slow to pay

A quiet, unhurried evening meal. Quiet location with limited parking. Excellent food and a good selection of Gin's. Baby ribs to die for!

The staff were nice enough but service was very slow had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. Noise level was unbearable due to a large party. Sunday lunch was quite tasty but portions were small and my Yorkshire pudding was a fraction of the size of others.

After a 40 minute wait the food arrived. The table adjacent to us had returned their food as it was cold- the Yorkshire puddings being referenced as very cold.
Our lunch arrived with cold Yorkshire puddings, which were returned, and despite a request to have the gravy served separately this had been poured onto the plate and quite clumsily wiped off!
It would have been a more pleasant experience had we been informed of the delay in service. The dining area was full with every table waiting for food with no update.

The only small criticism is that we waited 45 minutes for 2 steaks. There were only 2 other customers so it wasn’t busy. Nobody came up and explained or apologised about the wait.
Everything else was fantastic.

A really enjoyable, girly Sunday Lunch. The roast beef was delicious and the service was brilliant. A warm, friendly welcome with very attentive waiting staff. We had a great time and will definitely return soon.

The Sunday roasts were very disappointing, vegetables lukewarm, hardly any meat & potatoes hard and not worth £15, would not recommend.

Nice clean dining room, pleasant waiting staff that are unusually knowledgable about the food and the beer!
The food (Sunday roast) was fine but served on cold plates? The Adnams beer was superb.
An enjoyable lunch with friends but not outstanding.

Beautiful pub with lovely outdoor area. Our waitress was very welcoming and drinks/food all served promptly. Can thoroughly recommend the Lamb shoulder with mash 'n' veg. One diner needed gluten free, which we forgot to mention but waitress brought it up and advised on sauces/cooking methods. GF meal was rump steak with chips, which was very tasty. Portion sizes were generous, so unfortunately we could not manage pudding. So we'll definitely be back!

We love the White Horse but got to say the food on steak night was well below par. Food was cold. Chips not fully cooked. Veg raw. Steak didn’t seem freshly made. Like I say, love it there but an off night food wise.

We went for a late Sunday lunch( 4 people ) On arrival we were informed that there were no Sunday Roasts, Prawn dishes, Pie Dishes or Fries.
Not a great start.
Therefore 2 of us opted for Burgers with Chips- these were OK except did not come with Slaw as advertised
One of us had Blackened Lamb Shoulder - which ended up as a mushy pulled mess
And finally one of us ordered Rack of Ribs with a sticky glaze, with Slaw. This was disgusting. The ribs were dry, no slaw and the whole meal was cold. My guest had to send this back and ended up with another Burger-again with no slaw
A terrible Sunday dinner !!!!!

Meal was very nice but disappointed that no vegetarian Sunday "roast" dinner was offered. I was offered just vegetables, minus also the potatoes and gravy. Better still it would be great if even just one vegan option was available please

This is a nice pub and we came for my husband's 40th as we had seen an amazing menu here last time we came. Unfortunately this had gone and there was a much shorter less interesting menu. The was I'm afraid below average - not exactly what I'd planned!
Come White Horse - sort it out. This could be a great pub. So much is right already, location, roaring fire etc.
