Took a party of 6 there on a Saturday, the pub was very lively and we were taken straight away to the dining area which was quieter although every table was taken. The menu was very varied, the service was excellent. We were not rushed at all which can sometimes happen on a busy night. A number of the party had the pork belly which was outstanding. With plenty of wine it worked out at £35 per head which was good value.

We had the beef Sunday roast, unfortunately the meat was really not nice, quite under with a lot of fat. Otis a shame as the vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy tasted lovely. Would not have the beef again. Good pub but maybe better for drinks.

Eat in the pub or in a quieter area at ha back in the old coach house. Food was very good, I recommend the scotch egg, the selection of beer is huge and though limited in selection the wine was excellent.

Excellent Scotch Egg. The mains were good - simple English pub mains done really well. The fish for the Fish and Chips was perfect. The wine list is quite large, so be prepared to be a bit confused. Huge beer selection. The pub itself was packed, but the room out the back for dinner was quiet and comfortable. It's a great place for a casual meal or a few drinks.

Really let down by unthinking staff, friendly enough but when you have just had your main course plates taken away, surely the next step is to offer dessert menus or the bill, not to just ignore customers, I would hesitate to return unless I had two hours for lunch time.

The stunning setting overlooking the weir on the river thames in marlow is unrivalled so any new establishment opening has an immediate wow factor .being in the complete angler hotel also gives the place a touch of real class .dont expect Indian food as we know it .its totally different using amazing Indian flavouring instead .the tasting menue with the wine pairings is the way to go here the whole experience was fantastic and if I wanted to be ultra critical it would be they were slow with our pre dinner drinks which came after our wine arrived .also they allowed a couple in with a small child who started playing up but in fairness one of the parents took the child away straight away .i presume they were staying in the hotel . Will defiantly go back especially in daylight

My partner and I were looking for a nice brunch in the area with outdoor seating and happened upon The White Horse. We had the banana french toast and the full english breakfast. Both were great. They also have a very nice beer selection with bar men that know their beers. Would definitely recommend.

This is a very lively, popular, classic London pub and the restaurant is off the back and small with windows on one wall and wood panelling and old features. It's nice and quiet so I would think it would be good for a business dinner because you could have a drink at the bar in the lively atmosphere and then go to the back room to be able to talk over dinner. I think it mightbe disabled friendly (it's all 1 level and I think there is a small ramp at the door, although I can't speak for the restroom set-up). The quiet makes it nice for dining with parents/grandparents too or anyone hard of hearing. I had the special salad for the night and it was delicious, but I don't think I can speak for the food in general as a result.

First night in London for our 41st anniversary again we found this place on the web but when we arrived we thought oh no! the pub part was full I nearly didn't go in but we did and what a surprise once inside we were Shepherded to the back room which was just for dinners and we were very glad we did decide to come in. In a nut shell the food was brilliant, the staff were brilliant ,the room we ate in was very quaint and full of the sense of food happiness. We can't praise the staff enough we can't fault the food what more needs to be said 5 stars al lround

Lovely evening in the White Horse. I come here a lot for the beer (one of the best beer pubs in London) but I have never eaten before now. After reading the reviews I was nicely suprised by the food. We sat in the restaurant section of the pub which feels a lot more like a restaurant, away from the busy bar. The food was effectively restaurant standard and all looked amazing. We shared the chataubriand which was incredible with a delicous bernaise sauce. My only small complaint was that the restuarant was a little chilly compared to the warmth of the pub. Worth a visit though and definitely if you like your beer

We visited the white horse for Sunday lunch. The food was nice but there wasn't a lot of it and a few of us were still hungry after eating. The service was very slow, we had finished our food by the time our wine had arrived. This is definitely somewhere to go to spend the whole afternoon as they did not rush us from the table which was appreciated. I would go back but would get a starter as well and make sure I ordered wine earlier.

After hearing much about the 'Sloaney Pony' I was pretty disappointed when I got there. More shabby than chic and clearly service is not a priority. I can see how it is a great venue for outdoors summer drinking but aside from that, I don't think I would make the effort to return.

This pub has an amazing array of beers and great ambience and the lunch muni matches this well. Each meal has a matching beer suggestion and the wine list is also good . Wonderful steak and nice touches to the menu that means I will be back. Can be very busy weekends but week days a wonderful place to come.

Four of us went here on a Sunday night. Unfortunately we didn't know that there was a football game just ending! The traffic was gridlocked so trying to get to the far end of the King's Road (from Sloane Square) was a trial. The pub was heaving when we arrived, and we had to stand outside for our drinks. We sat down fo dinner at 7:00 and quickly learned that all of the "sharing" roasts were sold out, as well as a number of beers on tap. However, we all found something to order and all enjoyed our meals. The onion soup was delicious, and the roast beef was quite tasty. We'd try this place again, but not on a game day!

A few of us often eat here prior to a weekend Chelsea match and it never lets us down. One of the best pubs in London in my opinion, with an outstanding selection of beers that probably is not matched anywhere else. The restaurant food is always very good and we all enjoyed our Sunday roast. The Scotch egg as a starter is a must, and the wine list is long, varied and well priced.

Had a lovely meal with two friends last Friday night. The food was very good, I would definitely have the Gnocchi again and there was a good selection of wine, we selected the English Rose, which was very nice. Nice atmosphere, very busy on a Friday evening as it was a warm night so the outside area was busy. The bar area wasn't too crazy though which was nice for dinner.

Went for sunday lunch. We had a drink at the bar. I order a pint of beer and was warned by the bartender about the price and the strength ( £9 for 8% beer) ok no problem I said Yes and then she left a 1/3 of the pint just foam! AND refused to top it up!! Yes I know it's a strong beer but don't sell it by the pint if your not going to give someone a full pint. We then proceeded to go to the dinning area for our reservation. Service in this area was the same "inconvenienced" attitude, where they can't be bothered with being nice to customers. The food was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't bother sitting in the resturant when you can get the same great food in the bar. Paying 12.5% on bad service isn't worth it

the food her is 'better' than pub food, but id alwasy choose to sit in the 'bar' part to eat, rather than therestaurant, as i think it'd be a bit lonely on a 'school night' weekends/fridays fine. the menu is good and the choice is great, this is restaurant food, not pub food only gripe is they store the wines incl reds in a 'humidifier; but in my opinion its too chilled for red - we sent back two bottles (unopened) because they were covered in condensation, and, on touching them, they were chilled to the touch, so we ended up ordering a 'cheaper' bottle that they sell by the glass, only because it was 'out' behind in the bar area, ready to be sold by the glass. curious policy, which makes people 'buy down' instead of buying up !

We went on July 4th to enjoy the American Beer Festival. They had a great range of beers that we hadn't seen in a long time along with a great crowd who were there to celebrate the 4th. The bar was busy but table service was efficient & quick. Also a really lovely outdoor area.

The beer selection is amazing and we sampled several types that are hard to find elsewhere. All presented in the proper glass wear. Wonderful!

We've been meaning to visit the White Horse (Sloaney Pony) for some time, and finally got around to having dinner there. The Coach House room is a calm respite from the buzzing bar, which was packed on Friday night. We had an excellent gastropub meal - steak for the two omnivores and gnocchi for the vegetarian in our party. The bearnaise sauce which accompanied the steak was particularly flavourful, and the Pimms jelly with cream and shortbread was a standout dessert.

Ok dinner for 2 in a pub: £90 +!!!!! The service was poor, the food was average and the Hungarian waitperson failed to tell us that vegetables came with both meals so 2 lots of vegeatbles were paid for and wasted when we pointed out that she never told us about the inclusive veggie she puller a pained face.but never offered a credit...... The AUTOMATIC service charge was unacceptable and although I paid it, I was very unhappy with this expensive experience. BTW no bottle of expensive vino, my wife had just 2 small wines I had 1 beer Over rated and over priced which is a shame as it was a favourite of ours.
