   Beautiful location, good local produce thoughtfully cooked. The only thing we didn't much appreciate was the loud muzak in the bar. Not sure how many people come to historic and beautiful Aldeburgh for pop music!

   The service was very poor, we were left ages with them asking if we wanted anymore drinks. No one came over and asked how the food was. We were totally ignored all night.

   A fantastic place with a beautiful ambience . We had an amazing lunch with friends in New Year’s Eve as a treat and it certainly lived up to expectations . The food was delicious from a varied menu to suit all tastes . The staff were attentive and friendly. Would like to stay in the hotel next time

   Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was value for money with a range that adequately sufficed. With friends and we had a very enjoyable evening.

   Busted for Sunday lunch and all four of us had a roast. Served very quickly and meal was hot and tasty with good variety of vegetables on the plate. Had to chase up drinks but once prompted they came soon. Always enjoy the white lion.

   Good menu with something for everyone including children. Service a bit slow and a few mistakes made on drinks and food but quickly rectified. Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. Good cocktail list.

    It is a pity that the good food is overshadowed by sporadic service. It is not cheap, but the staff are thin on the ground and not properly trained.
