Our seasonal menus are changed regularly and offer fantastic Set Lunch and Dinner Menus, available Monday to Saturday, Lunch and Dinner. We also have an excellent A La Carte and Sunday Lunch menus, not forgetting the little ones with their own menu too.
We have won several awards at The White Oak and a thank you to all those fabulous customers who help make The White Oak a success, without you there would be no White Oak!
We hope you enjoy The White Oak as much as we do.
Excellent house red and sticky toffee pudding was really good. Would’ve been good to have the option of a side salad on the menu!
Great food from a tempting menu with plenty of choices and good value
Great food, the steak was perfect. my starter of squid was really lovely. and of the the donuts to finish were delicious. This review is written by my daughter who I booked a table for.
Best Sunday lunch ever!
Excellent value set menu - great food and only issue was the delay in serving side dishes - they didn’t charge for these, although we hadn’t particularly complained.
Plenty of good options on the menu and our dishes were cooked really well; will certainly go back to try a few more. Service was excellent; warm and casual which suits us perfectly.
We visited the White Oak for a Birthday Celebration. We had previously been to the Three Oaks in Gerrards Cross and been impressed, so hoped for something similar. We weren't dissapointed. The service and food were excellent. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of bubbles and the enjoyed the tasty set menu, new out that day! We were made very welcome and helped make it a special day! We would definitely recommend to others.
Terrible unfortunately we could hear the chef having a shouting match whilst eating the food was such a disappointment as I have been before and enjoyed it
Very busy because of the date and sat in bar area....food excellent, service friendly and efficient....will return although not sure 3 spoonfuls of rice pudding and diced pear is value for money
This is one of our favourite restaurants. We have never been disappointed and pick it for special occasions. Even though the food is slightly on an expensive side, we have always really enjoyed it. Staff is responsive and friendly with children. Kids fish and chips are best ever, so are triple cooked chips! Sunday roast one of the best in Bucks we think :) Will be back!
Really good staff, they couldn’t be more accommodating. A very busy Christmas Eve, hair in my daughters food didn’t help. Still a good location!
Disappointed as had been recommended to the Sunday roast. The pork was just about ok but no crackling. Tinned apple sauce. Gravy the consistency of water, carrot hard as were the roast potatoes which I suspect were not roasted in the oven but deep fat fried. Such a shame.
Excellent food and good vibe. I think we will go there again.
Amazing food. We all loved our lunch choices, especially the Brioche donuts!
As always fab food, great atmosphere - Xmas lively parties - staff excellent - one of our truly favorite places
Never lets us down and always so accommodating ... plus only a 5 min walk! How lucky
Jack was amazing.
He kept in contact with me before the event as one of my party had special dietary requirements.
He made suggestions, and took the time to check everything with me in advance.
Once we arrived he, and all of the staff were really lovely to deal with.
As always, a fantastic dining experience. Great food, fantastic service and great venue.
The White Oak looked really beautiful with the Christmas decorations
Good food, wine and service - a bit noisy, not loud enough to drown conversation with others on your table
As usual a really good meal. It was very busy so there was a slightly longer wait between courses. We had a very nice lunch set menu. My children loved their meals as well
Very nice menu - but the last 2 visits we have had to either wait for our table for a long time or for our food - the waiters were very charming about this and without us complaining offered to make amends with a free drink or dessert which was appreciated.
I’ve never had a dish that wasn’t beautifully cooked here so I am quite forgiving
We had a slight problem with the menu but Richard put things right and the four of us were very happy. Good food, friendly service and our group of ladies will happily eat at The White Oak again.
Always a lovely venue and staff so attentive and helpful.....just a little disappointing that the tagliatelle dish from the menu of the day only had one serving left and all 3 of us would have liked it! However not a problem we chose something else and are booked in again for next week
Food very good. Service slow 50 minute wait between starters and main and had to remind staff to bring ths roast potatoes.
Set lunch is very good value for the quality of food provided.
Service could be more efficient.
Good menu selection. Great food, ambience and service. We took friends out for their 50th wedding anniversary and it was a nice touch when the waiter bought out a pastry and ice cream on a plate that had 50th anniversary congratulations beautifully hand written and decorated in chocolate icing.
The service wasn’t great, wrong orders came out and we were left waiting for some time in between courses. Overall a pretty average experience, doesn’t in any way warrant a 12.5% service charge so we asked for this to be taken off the bill. Won’t rush back again.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent wine list. Their Sunday Lunch is the best I've had all year. A real little gem.
Amazing place & amazing food. Will definately be returning soon x
Great food with lovely staff.
Lovely cozy pub. Great tasty food. A lot of options for non meat eaters. Great service and value. What more to ask?
Loved the ambiance and friendly service. The food was excellent! Will definitely return.
Superb Sunday lunch, excellent service, lovely atmosphere. The sticky toffee pudding was insanely good.
We were a party of 6 yet were asked to move off the table well before the allotted time of 2.5 hours for such a party. The lunch was only ok because I and others could not understand why the Yorkshire pudding took up over half the plate size and noticed that they had been cooked probably hours before service but then just heated up when required. Chosen lunches were said to come with a selection of vegetables yet we only had one buried half carrot plus some cabbage. For dessert , I chose the treacle tart but the tart base was rock hard and probably undercooked.
I rarely write reviews about restaurant meals but this time, I was rather astonished by the above facts whilst attending this establishment.
Lovely evening celebrating our wedding anniversary. Received a complimentary glass of champagne at the start of our meal. Food delicious, attentive, pleasant staff. We both had starters, mains (steak and cod) and desserts. A side order of the Parmesan cauliflower cheese, the best we’ve ever tasted! We will be back.
The food is excellent, but very rich (much use made of butter etc.).
After ten years away we preferred it as it was then and not as it is now which is OK but not worth a 10 mile trip.
This is our go to restaurant and were there twice this week. The food was up to the usual excellent standard.
If I have one comment it would be that with wood on the walls and tiles and wood on the floors it can be noisy when busy.
Lovely food but stingy portions, more beef/veg in the Sunday dinner needed. Delicious nonetheless
Consistently good food. Great service - the staff are so great here. We never disapointed
