Been to the restaurant a few times now and have a 3 year old always accommodating and very welcoming, food is exceptional and never had a problem and staff are warm friendly and welcoming, keep up the wonderful work!

As ever an amazing meal from my favourite local restaurant (perhaps the best in Berkshire)! The steak was sublime and for dessert the whole poached apple coated in crumble topping was ingenious. The only ask I would have is please put the triple cooked chips back on the menu!! Now Cookham is n tier 4 this local gem has to temporarily close again. I cannot wait until the restrictions are lifted so we can return!

Absolutely delightful evening from the moment we stepped inside the restaurant. Tables well spaced - the food excellent & excellent presentation. We couldn’t fault it - such a treat. The Christmas pudding / the best I’ve tasted / even better than the one I’ve made for years. Lovely just to enjoy the ambience & chat with my husband. Felt in a safe Covid free environment. Will return early next year.

Dinner here was fabulous! The hake was beautifully soft & I could eat the doughnuts (in particular the salted caramel sauce!) all day long.

This was our first meal out post 2nd lockdown. Nice ambience, great food and really pleasant staff - almost didn't notice the extra screens between tables etc. - gave it more of a snug/booth feel.

Incredible Sunday dinner as usual.

The three of us had the Artichoke soup with wild mushrooms and white truffle followed Roast chicken breast with tarragon dauphinois, hispi cabbage and tarragon sauce!

We had a special occasion party of 4, brought forward 3 days in a hurry because of lockdown. The White Oak is not a tranquil environment but we had the table we requested in a quieter area. They did well for us on all counts.

Great new Gastropub find. Cool shabby chic interior and warm ambience - and wonderful food ! Will deffo be going back.

The Sunday Lunch at the White Oak is simply perfect. The food is of the highest quality and cooked to perfection. The wine list compliments the food incredibly well.
The staff are amazing and and can't do enough.

The whole meal is magical, but the roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese are out of this world.

I've been a number of times and its always sad to leave as it's always a wonderful experience.

Service was very busy as lockdown 2 had just been announced. Yes we were kept waiting but always attentive and kept us informed. Who minds waiting when food was just amazing! Even deducted some of the wine costs from the bill as gesture of goodwill. Of course we will be back when we can.

This is now our favourite place to eat nearby. The food and service are amazing. The ambience is as good as it can get during Covid.
