My favourite place to eat. Staff so friendly and knowledgeable and food is excellent.
Really enjoyed a great lunch. We hope to come back when we can.
Really nice evening with friends as a birthday treat for a friends 40th.
I had the pidgin which was nice but a bit over cooked for my liking I thought it should have been served pinker
Other than that a lovely meal and evening
A sensational treat!
Divine food.
Wonderful service.
Stunning setting.
We were incredibly impressed with this restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was superb, all the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, my only criticism was that li was all a bit to fast, but I do understand why this is at the moment with the shortened opening hours .
Never disappoints, wonderful food and service, thank you!
Gorgeous food, welcoming staff, a lovely evening.
We had a bad experience some years ago (different management) and were pleased with the improvements.
A very enjoyable experience and offers the perfect balance of fine dining in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Wonderful food and really nice staff. We were there with our four year old son, who made to feel very welcome and loved his sausage and mash!
Attentive staff with great choices for lunch. Good selection of wine to accompany food. Quickly becoming a favourite lunch spot.
Fantastic lunch in great location, highly recommended.
Exceptional Birthday dinner, faultless. The food was divine and the service was friendly and professional. We felt Covid safe as they had all the necessary guidances in place. We will definitely be returning.
The venue is very welcoming as soon as you walk in. A cheerful reception is very important. I liked the fact that as soon as we were seated we were given water. Importantly we were asked about allergies which is important. The menu was varied enough without being overwhelming. The food was interesting and thoughtfully prepared. The service was efficient without being hurried. Only two criticsms. The desert menu was a little limited , and the pickled walnuts on the cheese board were far too immature.
Fantastic food with fantastic staff and restaurant. Had the added touch of staff taking my coat to hang in their cloakroom.
Lovely dinner - particularly enjoyed the risotto
Love this Restaurant! It is a chance to try food I would not normally eat with amazing delicate tastes and outstanding service.
Food was lovely as usual, so was the service would recommend this little gem always enjoy visiting wife of bath.
The total experience was delightful. The Covid precautions were very good but did not detract from the meal.
The 'Sarge' has had this place for a couple of years (ish) now and was our first outing but it won't be our last. Covid measures aside for a moment (they do it very well BTW), the setting is uncluttered and well spaced out, our hostest was attentive but not a humming bird and the menu was a well balanced mix of traditional roasts and al a carte. For me, the greatest requirement from a decent lunch isn't any of the above. I have but one requirement and that is to be fed and fed well and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, the entire party wasn't disappointed. Unbeknownst to the resturant, this was a surprise lunch for my wife's 50th with one of her oldest friends, who knows her way around a Michelin starred eatery or two (banker, don't judge) and the responce was universal. This was one of the best lunches we all had ever had. From the squid risotto to the venison wellington, the home cured beef on dripping toast to pork belly roast. All superbly cooked and presented. We had been to Rocksalt a couple of years ago so really excited to hear that the same group had taken this place on and I will say that with any new venture, it takes a little while to find it's groove but from our experience on Sunday, they are now well and truely in it. Highly recommend it and we are already making plans for dinner. No occasion but just to have dinner here as if lunch is anything to go by........
Beautifully presented food with a really interesting menu. Lovely wine selection too. Felt the whole place was very covid safe but still with great service and ambience.
Was expecting the lunch menu as stated on their website. On arrival told this was no longer available. We did stay and have the a la carte but ended paying a lot more than we expected. Food was different and very good but hardly anybody in the restaurant, so glad we were a party of four.
Good restaurant but at those prices only for a special occassion. im sure if they brought back the lunch menu they would get a lot more customers
Great food in a lovely relaxed environment. The service was excellent With personal touches.
Food was outstanding , staff very professional social distancing was carried out professionally , a lovely time was had by all , highly recommended.
Welcoming, even with a last minute addition to our book - our 11 month old son. Beautiful food and a wonderful setting.
A lovely dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good. I think the ambience could have been improved slightly maybe with softer lighting. Overall would recommend and would definitely go back.
Can not fault food or service, we would not hesitate to go back!
We had a wonderful lunch. Drinks, food and service was brilliant.
Expected great things but left a little disappointed.
I’m happy to pay high prices when the product is top quality but I’m afraid my main dish wasn’t the best. I went for the Cod (with swede, oyster mushroom, little bit of kale and separate drizzle for me to pour over dish). I know cod isn’t usually the most flavoursome of fish but I felt the whole combination of the dish was very badly put together. Nothing complemented the fish, and the dish was just generally very bland. For £26 that is VERY disappointing. Doubtful I’ll be rushing back sadly.
My mum enjoyed her main (cauliflower steak V), and partner and father both had the Fillet of Beef. They enjoyed but agreed improvements could be made for a dish priced at £35.
The service was great, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Definitely gave the impression of fine dining....‘cept what was on my plate.
Had an excellent meal, the food wine and service were perfect. Definitely the best meal we had in Kent.
Attended as a party of four for lunch. The staff were really attentive and we were warmly greeted. The food will speak for itself, you will not be disappointed. A really relaxed atmosphere and coping well with all Covid restrictions.
We had a lovely meal and stay. the staff were very helpful and wanted to insure our stay was all that what we wanted.
Both myself and my wife though two of the dishes were slightly salted, but as we both like salt it did not spoil our meal. the two dishes was the starter Ox Cheek and the main course that I had was the Plaice were the creamed posses were a bit over seasoned.
Excellent food, good choice on menu, well presented friendly service and all in very pleasant relaxed manner and surroundings.
Great! We had an excellent meal, all dishes were original and well thought through. Staff friendly and available throughout.
Delicious food, friendly, unobtrusive service and a lovely atmosphere. Couldn't have been better!
Our first time at WoB for 18yrs!!! Wow, great and welcoming reception, very instructive which is what u need in these difficult times, relaxed dining, great wine choice and the food was outstanding! The flavours each course presented were so fresh and vibrant it just confirmed out choice to come and celebrate 47 years of married life! Thank you WoB we will be back!
Superb food yet again, Michelin standard great sunday lunch
Haven't been for a while but was impressed by the food quality, the really good service.
Sadly the wine list is smaller! Our only comment was that the sauce with our meal was very salty!
The food was delicious. The staff made the booking they went above and beyond.
This is simply one of the best meals I have ever had.
Have been to Rocksalt a number of times including Christmas Day and the food was as good.
Considering we are still wrapped up in all that is negative with COVID this restaurant did not let its standards slip at all!
Staff were awesome, have never had more attentive and considerate service in any restaurant or hotel.
