This is my wife's favourite restaurant and fast becoming mine. We have eaten here a few times now and can not fault it. Food is superb and the service matches. The lunchtime set menu is tremendous value for money and a good excuse to give it a try without breaking the bank...I just wish we lived nearer to it.

My partner and I had an amazing evening in The Wife of Bath in Wye. We have a 6 month old baby boy and this was the first proper night out we have had since before he was born, so I wanted to make it really special. The wife of Bath did not disappoint! We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. It is not cheap, but food of this quality is not and shouldn't be. If you are looking to have a really wonderful and special meal out, I can wholeheartedly and sincerely recommend The Wife of Bath in Wye!!

Fantastic ambiance and an amazing meal. Staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Eaten at The Shard and their food doesn’t come near the quality and flavour. All the staff should be so proud of themselves. The Wife of Bath is a hidden gem.

The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. However the portion of Gurnard that my wife was served was very small. I wish I had pointed this out at the time but my wife was not keen to do so. I am surprised that you would jeopardise your excellent reputation with such a stingy act.

Was a weekly regular when Michael Waterfield ran it and established a fine reputation as an excellent eateries quite one of the best in England and even beyond. Stayed loyal when Bob and Brian took over. More latterly it didn't quite hold the same for us under different new owners. However, Mark Sargeant's has breathed new life back into the establishment and, albeit, with a predominantly Spanish menu, has restored the Wife of Bath back to the heights of culinary excellence.
A special word about the staff both front of house and kitchen......ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT?

Four of us had a very good evening on Saturday night. The food was very good indeed. Very varied and a bit different. The wine list was good.
Ambience very good. Very friendly staff. The service was a tiny bit slow but that didn't matter to us!
We will go again!

We had a very peaceful mid week lunch at the Wife of Bath for my husbands birthday. We enjoyed a walk around the village before settling in early for our complimentary glass of bubbles with the set lunch menu. The service was commendable and very unobtrusive while at the same time always being there too meet our needs. However, it was the delicious food that really made the trip worth while. We hope to go back very soon.

Excellent Food and fantastic service throughout. The staff couldn't do enough for us.

The room was comfortable and cosy. We had a personal handwritten "thank you for staying with us", together with some lovely nibbles and a drop of sherry when we arrived.

We then had a really delicious three course meal. The staff were very welcoming & attentive followed by great cocktails.

Overall, an excellent stay and meal which I would recommend to anyone

Third time we have eaten at The Wife of Bath since it has been restyled as a tapas restaurant. We used to dine there years ago when it had different owners. It now looks chic & modern with very stylish soft ( Farrow & Ball?) grey walls.
We know we will always have a excellent meal at The Wife of Bath & love Spanish food. There was plenty of choice for us on the A la Carte menu....my husband is a fish eating vegetarian and I am gluten free. Our lunch was absolutely delicious!..the food was fresh, beautifully seasoned and well presented.
The staff/ team were welcoming & helpful and service was outstanding ...just like it was on our previous 2 visits.
We will return soon to try the other dishes. Thank you for a memorable meal!
