From the moment we walked through the door the whole experience was exceptional. The restaurant was very busy but you never got the feeling of stress from the staff. We were not hurried and we served at a relaxing pace. We chose from the set lunch menu and was not disappointed.
We highly recommend the Wife of Bath and will be visiting again on the 29th August and the 2nd September. If you enjoy wonderful food in the countryside this is for you.

Nice décor and atmosphere in the restaurant, excellent service and staff were knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Good choices on the menu which is on the expensive side and the food was good whilst not quite reaching the 'wow' factor.

Not sure we want to tell anyone how much we liked this place. If we say it was good, then it might get to be too crowded to be fun anymore.

Fantastic food with perfectly matched wine list. A real gem that once you have experienced it you will be going back for more. The menu that has its roots in Spain is exceptional.

Didn’t enjoy our visit food was mediocre we dine out regularly and WOB has been on our list for some time having eaten at Duke & Rocksalt thought we’d give it a try but was very disappointed on a very strange take on a Sunday lunch happy to pay good money for good food but never come away from a restaurant feeling so disappointed before.
Maybe we were unlucky but think there is better out there.

Very nice food at a reasonable price for the level of dining. Service was not over attentive and did have to seek out a server for drinks but this is a very minor strike. The courses were interleaved with very nice amuse-bouche. The level of dress of the patrons was of a good standard which is nice nowadays!

Will definitely visit again!!

Always wonderful food and very attentive staff. My friend was down from Hertfordshire and requested that we eat there as she loved it the last time. Only slight downside was a very loud lady on the table behind us but other than that a great meal.

Exceptional food and service, extra tasting tapas inbetween the courses were a lovely delicious surprise. Best food I’ve tasted in a long time, definitely be back, cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been couple of times to this restaurant, the first time was amazing really impressed with the food, details and atention. I went last night with my boyfriend and we ordered the tapas for started and paella for main course. The tapas to share was very poor, 1 tomato with some garlic, onion and coriander, one piece of chicken thigh with source, and crab mayonnaise. Paella was half burnt rice at the base of the pan, and half under cooked rice elsewhere. Feedback was dismissed surprisingly, you’d expect I would have an credible understanding being Spanish nationality. When we told the waitress how disappointing the food was, she deducted the service charge (that is optional anyway) from the bill. We didn’t expect anything for free but did expect a better reaction from a restaurant of this calibre.

Lovely menu, difficult to chose as each dish sounded tempting.
The deserts were amazing and wanted to try them all. Next visit we might try the tasting menu to enjoy some more lovely dishes. The lobster on the specials menu was delicious.
Very friendly and helpful staff, can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal

Really love the Wife of Bath and am always happy to eat there. Service is very pleasent and the food is lovely and rich with flavour. The bar area is great for before and after a meal, but it is a shame when there are people in there swearing and being anti social. Would like the staff to remove such people but I realise that can be difficult sometimes.

Went there for my wife's birthday and we were not disappointed. Everything from the welcome on arrival to the service and food was fantastic. The menu is not huge - which I think is a good thing - but there was still plenty of variety, and the quality was out of this world. I'm not exaggerating when I say I honestly think this was one of the ten best meals I've ever had!

We are locals so come to the Wife of Bath fairly regularly, mainly for tapas and drinks at the bar, but occasionally to eat in the restaurant and it is always excellent, delicious food, portions are generous so you can end up over ordering. Lovely touches such as amuse bouche between courses. Staff are really friendly, never feel rushed. The Gin and Tonics are amazing! So lucky to have such a great place on our doorstep. Would love it if they did a residents loyalty card?!

Absolutely wonderful food, have thoroughly enjoyed our meal. From our tapas to share starter, through pork belly main and probably best ice cream I have ever had. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
The star of the show are staff though - very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. We were served by Liam who event went and got some cooking tips from the chef.
Keep up the good work!

What a wonderful meal, the small dining area allows the staff to give a first rate service you are not left feeling forgotten. The staff are knowledgeable about both food and drinks being served and are all friendly. The food itself as delicious my husband and I both had different starters and main, the baked crab, rabbit, baked cod and lemon sole but all were equally lovely, we did share a slice of the chocolate tart which was exceptional. We will be returning next time we are going to have the tapas to share for starters and the paella for 2 - we saw a couple of other diners have these and again they looked superb.
