Located on Regent Street, The Wigmore is set to become a new social institution with a touch of London polish and a place where everyone is welcome.
This Great British pub serves a carefully created drinks list from the team behind Artesian, including great wines, cask ales and craft beers including The Wigmore’s very own house “Saison”, brewed in partnership with Bermondsey’s “Brew by Numbers”.
The food menu overseen by Michel Roux Jr defines quintessential British pub fare.
I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to go to The Wigmore for ages and it didn’t disappoint
The service was wonderful and the food delicious
As always a great place to meet friends for lucky. Felt very welcome, good drink recommendations and all was lovely- food and drink
We went to The Wigmore at 13.30 on Saturday 4 May. To be honest it was about 80% empty but did begin to fill up slowly as the afternoon progresses. Service and food though were both good (cheese toastie and Burger really nice). Pork was a little dry but each of the puddings for £5 a go well worth it. All round an enjoyable 4 hours. Reasonably priced too for quality and location.
Good food and great service! Just a little noisy at times.
Excellent as always
Booking on-line was easy and problem free, and even though we turned up early, we were greeted enthusiastically and shown our table. I thought the music was going to be too loud at first, but either this was turned down or the quiet chat of other customers meant it wasn't noticeable. The service was friendly, good-humoured and efficient. It seemed as if staff enjoy working there, which helps to create a good atmosphere. Love it that Pilsner Urquell is on draught. We both loved the cod main course, and while the Black Forest dessert was good, it lacked the rich chocolateyness (and a dollop of cream) that would otherwise have earned the food 5 stars.
Visited as the opened for lunch, had their XXL cheese toastie and the scotch eggs, paired with a pint of Guinness. Excellent service, delicious food, and a reasonable price for the quality. One of the highlights of my visit to London.
Excellent service and food in a great setting
A brilliant place to eat & drink! Such a lovely environment. We felt very much looked after by staff who were extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming with impeccable decor. Most importantly, the food was absolutely devine. The Wigmore is a place I would highly recommend without hesitation!
Lovely feel and good value given the surroundings and very good (and interesting) food.
Excellent food and friendly attentive service. The only irritant was being forced by the online booking system to book a table for 12.15 rather than 12.30, for which there was no apparent reason as the restaurant was not full.
We very much enjoyed our visit and all the staff were excellent and helpful. The food was good and the prices reasonable. My only gripe? the Huge TV screen
Absolutely without a doubt the best Cheese Stovetop Toasties in London!
Fantastic Gin Tonica’s and attentive friendly staff, a great place to visit if you’re in Town
Slightly limited menu but good quality and good service
Very enjoyable experience will be back soon. Good choice of drinks and interesting and tasty food
Really enjoyed the lunch, ambience and service excellent.Toilets very clean and were to a very high standard.
The quality of food was excellent and the atmosphere was nice too.
Excellent food and extremely attentive service. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon eating.
This was our second time to the Wigmore and it never fails to disappoint. The food is delicious and the ambience is relaxed. We took our 9 month old son and the staff were amazing! They were so accommodating, so kind and thoughtful! We would definitely go back.
Great service and stunning food
Great food and lovely Atmosphere loved the crab crumpets and cheese toattoastie ie
More draft beer alternatives would have been apprichiated...
We sat in the quiet seating area at back of the Wigmore: perfect for ladies that lunch.
Enough meal options which was all lovely. Waiter happy to recommend choices and very attentive
Will come back
Always look for a reason to come here as the food and drink are always excellent. Very often there is something on the menu which is a favorite and something that you may never have tried before - that has now become the ultimate difficult choice as I feel like they will never let me down when I try something new but then there are times when you want to experience again something that was amazing before.
The staff are always welcoming and friendly - and their knowledge is incredible - I often ask for their thought on a beer or wine to go with my food choice and have never been disappointed.
Great place to meet up with a friend for lunch - the cheese toasties are delicious to share with a side of croquetas and chips and a glass of wine! I would highly recommend this place!
Decent enough lunch at The Wigmore though nothing spectacular. The macaroni cheese sticks were ok but a little odd - stuffed with Stilton with an addition blue cheese dip. Seemed excessive - blue cheese dunked in a blue cheese dip. Not convinced they work.
Mains were fine - Cornish cod (just about cooked), spinach & mussel sauce needed seasoning and didn’t have much curry flavour but the Bloody Mary salted chips were tangily delicious and crisp - perfectly cooked. Dessert was nice - praline and chocolate roulade - though not strictly a roulade. It was light with lots of texture. A little rich but ok. Service was average - bit slow even though it wasn’t that busy - though staff were friendly enough. Love the decor and the homemade ginger lemonade.
The food is very creative and delicious, service is appropriate overall a positive experience
Completely fab, quality reimagining of an Edwardian pub. Gloss painted green ceillings, comfy velvet seating, superb classy service and utterly delicious food.
A good Saturday lunch - excellent service and good food delivered without significant delay.
My only complaint would be that the lunch menu was very restrictive with a poor level of choice. They needed at least 2 more main course options.
Food was excellent - the cheese quiche in particular was so light. However, portion size was probably more corden bleu than filling. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. They were attentive but not in an annoying way. The main thing we noticed was that we could chat across the table without having to shout. Even though the venue was busy, it wasn't loud. Our group enjoyed it and are likely to return.
More of a restaurant than a pub. Great food - the scotch eggs are a must - and very pleasant staff.
Excellent venue in a great location, stunning decor with great levels of service. The food was well presented with an explosion of flavours; not your average pub meal.
A fave hideaway with great food, best scotch egg in town!
Really enjoyed the look and feel of the Wigmore. It is a busy bar, but could easily get service if it wasn't already being offered. I thought it was great value for such a venue, however the bar menu food was extremely salty and didn't really enjoy that part so much. Would definitely return for drinks though.
Very friendly, nice relaxed atmosphere excellent food and good value. Made to feel special.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Place wasn't too busy and the food was very good.
This was our second time visiting The Wigmore - we loved it so much the first time we had to come back. The service and food are both top notch!
Everything was fantastic! Charming, great ambiance and excellent service. I highly recommend the Chicken Tika pie and soft serve dessert.
The cheese toastie was fantastic! Excellent beers and excellent service!
Food was fantastic, however service could have been better. There was one guy, sadly I didn’t get his name, who served our table and was absolutely fantastic!
