Excellent food . Excellent service . Friendly . Lovely Ambiance.
We sat outside on the heated terrace really recommend was warm while wearing coats & hats. Great food & atmosphere & very pretty outdoor winter dining at its best
Always an enjoyable experience at this beautifully decorated village pub.
Friendly and attentive service, delicious food, lovely decor.
Looking forward to returning soon 😀
We had a great meal at the Willow Tree. Such good food and the staff were really friendly, particularly the young boy at the bar who helped us get home. We were staying in a cabin 15 mins away and we had no money or signal to get an uber so he kindly let us get cash back from the till!!!! Thank you so much for your help. We will be returning xx
Amazing food quality and atmosphere as usual, will be back again soon
Thanks!
Emma & family
Excellent food and service! Such a warm welcome received and would whole heartedly recommend
Currently the best restaurant in Cambridgeshire! The cheese soufflé is to die for and the duck is fantastic! Highly recommend
We booked for Sunday lunch as there was a vegan option on the menu, when we got there I asked what the dinner consisted of and no one could really tell me, after a bit of back and forth they told me it was basically a plate of vegetables and its £17.00!! The same price as a roast with chicken etc.. I would expect a nut roast or something substantial for that price! The rest of the menu isn't great for a veggie... the pizzas weren't being served but no where stated this. We ended up leaving and going to a different pub. Such a shame as i've wanted to go for some time as its so pretty . Unless they improve their menu we wont be returning.
Consistently good.
Very nice place, I had the ox cheeks and they were really good.
Great cocktails as well.
We were running late, happy to keep our table and didn’t make us feel rushed at any time
Have been dining at the Willow Tree several years now. Always a friendly welcome from owner and staff.
Decor great with lovely outside seating area and dining pods.
Food tasty and excellent.
Always a good experience. Lovely food and friendly service
Lovely atmosphere, excellent quality food.
Good efficient and friendly service, plenty of space between diners, food and wine was very good.
The room could have been a bit warmer but apart from that, the overall experience was excellent, would definitely go back again.
I loved the beetroot and goats cheese starter! The food was lovely, it wasn't busy so very covid proof and we had a great time.
Inside is lovely I loved the decoration. It is quite pricey and could do with a few more vegetarian options
The best pizza I have had outside Italy.
And a very good Sticky Toffee Pudding. I would recommend this restaurant.
There were a few difficulties such as my meal being put through to the kitchen later than the rest of my party's meals, an error with the bill, an error with desserts brought out and a shortage of cutlery brought to the table. But this was their first day of being open for food indoors since lockdown so we did not give them a hard time! The food was very good, the staff were friendly and they were happy for me to bring in a home-made birthday cake. The decor was cool although the exterior of the building was a bit shabby, and I found the incense smell a bit overpowering for a restaurant. I think under non-COVID times the service would probably have been a lot smoother so we gave a tip all the same!
I emailed this to the Willow Tree but they’ve not replied.
We were lucky enough to grab a cancellation on one of the domes for 26 September but we honestly feel like we just paid an extra £45 for poor service.
It must have been half an hour after we were seated in the dome before anyone came to take our drinks order. I have to say the food was delicious but after we got our food we weren’t asked again if we wanted any more drinks, desserts or coffee. Nobody came near until we were just presented with our bill. We did complain to the waiter that bought our bill who did say sorry. Then, as it was 10pm, we were told to leave by another waiter even though we were still waiting for someone to return so we could pay our bill.
Overall very disappointing, we’d wanted a dome for some time but really wish we hadn’t bothered.
Due to current restrictions The Willow Tree have managed to make our evening enjoyable.
Celebrated our daughter’s 18th on the veranda. It was lovely! The service was good and food delicious.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. My partner, who previously knew nothing of The Willow Tree, was absolutely delighted and enchanted by the garden setting - wants to return in the evening for extra ambience. We both also enjoyed our meals very much.
Service was slow, and the staff, bar one lovely lady who was smiley, polite and warm. The main lady was not welcoming at all, and when we left they were all sitting around the table having a drink and didn’t acknowledge us leaving. Not the friendliest!
Food was fine, not mind blowing but good enough. Atmosphere was lovely, very pretty with the fairy lights
Inside not open and no info at time of booking
No lunch menu again no info reduced menu
We were seated under cover with outdoor heating, perfect. As the night wore on w had a beautiful view of the garden all lit up. The garden was very pretty.
The staff were attentive and very friendly.
Food was brought promptly, everything was delicious. The pizzas are huge.
Arrived to be told half the menu was unavailable although was accommodating due to special needs. Had to have the water changed as jug was dirty on the inside. Long wait for service. Setting is lovely and they are refurbishing in September. Deck was in need of attention and chairs are in need of replacement.
Shame as used to really enjoy this restaurant.
Starter was amazing! Main course was burnt and dry! Didn’t feel very welcoming.
Everything is great, the food is absolutely delicious, people are really nice. The staff just need to be faster (order taking, getting the checks etc.) an overall nice and cozy experience.
It’s a nice setting, unfortunately we weren’t able to sit under the willow tree or by the lake as there was a comedy evening on, but sat on the terrace which was very nice. The pizzas were good, the starters weren’t as well presented as you’d expect, but tasted nice. The waitress was really lovely and helpful. It was priced well on the eat out to help out scheme but not sure I’d pay full price.. still, we had a lovely evening.
Warm welcome on arrival, was very apparent after awhile that the staff were unprepared for the bookings.
Poor service and hugely overpriced.
We had a Sunday roast. The choice of starters and desserts didn't appeal to any of us very much and although the desserts were OK, the presentation was a bit strange. Main course was good, but could have done with a little more on my plate. Overall it was good, but not outstanding. Appreciate that these are difficult times for a restaurant and I think they dealt with COVID19 very well, we felt safe and protected.
Food was just ok, I had expected it to be a much better experience. 1 of our table had lamb it was very fatty. Small cans of ciders and beer £5 per tin, this is extortionate. Dining was on terrace this was certainly not a socially distanced experience, tables not spread out enough, too many people eating at same time. Very disappointed
Very busy and so the service was not good and the beer we wanted had run out, so had one of the meals and the menu is a already restricted. But! it was on the deal night and the place was lovely. All our other visits there have always been good and so will go back.
The quality of the food was outstanding, presented to a high standard, choices on the wine list were very good.we chose a savingon blac which is not one of my favourites, but I thoroughly enjoyed it dessert was to die for ,the chocolate ganache was outstanding crumble.
Lovely afternoon tea sat underneath the willow tree. Great to see how the Willow Tree have adapted to keep everyone safe and secure.
This restaurant does NOT take OPENTABLE reservations. When we arrived, we had NO reservation. This is not the first time this has happened. You need to clean up your list and not mislead users to believe they are going somewhere with a reservation when one doesn't exist!!!!!
Slightly limited choice of dishes, perhaps to a smaller number of customers.
Great food. Cool experience in the pod.
Stock take is a little iffy at the moment. They ran out of a few drinks options whilst we were there. Somewhat understandable in the current climate
Good ambiance as always, service was pretty slow and disorganised. I can highly recommend the Pea Burrata, but the crab salad was disappointing due to a very small amount of crab.
