The food was very good and the dining area is nice. Slightly concerned at how close we were to the group on the adjoining table, particularly as our two groups were the only ones in the place. Staff were ok but pretty much disappeared after our main course was served. Would definitely go back

Turned up to find they didn't have our booking (made via OpenTable) as they hadn't checked their emails. There were no tables inside, but luckily they pulled some outdoor tables together for us so we could sit there. We also had specifically come for Sunday roast which is prominently advertised in the menu on their website. It was even on the menu we where given on arrival. However, we were told that they don't do sunday roasts all summer and where very disappointed. Come on guys, check your emails and update your website. You're forcing me to give an average review to what is a good pub purely on your lack of any admin on your part.

Pub was empty but food was ok 👌🏻although I was not told there was no roasts due to the cricket which for a Sunday I think they should of let us know

Really nice staff, quiet upstairs for lunch and nice seating outside.

Lovely pub, full of character with high ceilings and a light, airy feel. Staff were very nice, and we all liked the menu which seemed well balanced, with something for everyone, and appetising starters and sides as well.

On our table, a pizza was enjoyed, burgers went down well, and there was enthusiasm for the beer.

Specifically around my meal, large olives had run out, which was a pity, but I devoured veg spring rolls though I don't think those were home-made. Very nice, crisp texture, but not a lot of anything inside. Fat-cut chips were great, full of character, not the crispy type but nothing wrong there, I like all variants of chips! Nice to see them made from fresh.

Now, my goats' cheese salad.. Two disks of baked goats' cheese, on leaves, with balsamic (with a few slices of bonus tomato), however, where were the roasted peppers? The dish was stated as "mixed leaves, roasted peppers and baked goat's cheese", so quite clearly, the peppers are a key part of the dish and would create the flavour and texture combinations? They weren't forgotten altogether; there were a few tiny slithers (three, about an inch long, and I genuinely mean "tiny slithers"! This is one of my biggest irritations when eating out, it happens in pubs and restaurants all the time, and it's not acceptable. Still, I enjoyed the dish.

Ambience in the pub was spoiled by a large dog which barked hideously loudly on several occasions. I don't agree with dogs in places where food is served, and it was extremely annoying. Any young children would have been quite unnerved.

We certainly enjoyed our afternoon though, and for sure I will revisit the pub soon. It's a splendid place and one I've been happy to drink in on every occasion I've been there.

Lovely little gem of a place, great food, great service and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

We wanted a quick supper before attending an evening event at a hotel close by. Main bar area was very noisy and decorated for Halloween. We were offered a table upstairs which was quieter. Menu was uninspiring and we chose chicken salad and pie of the day. Salad was dull with no interesting ingredients. Pie came with mash and gravy but no vegetables. Service was OK and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Food was very ordinary and not good value.

The decor is in need of a refresh but the food is quite good, especially the pizzas as they are made to order; and the wine is not overpriced either. Quite handy for a reasonable, pre-theatre meal close to Regents Park Open Air Theatre.

Met pre cricket at Lords so it was an energetic watering hole. Food was very good as was the beer. Booked a table so expected to be shown to the seating area but was told it’s upstairs: coukd have been due to busyness. Would deffo visit again, it really is an oasis for drink and food.

Great little pub near the park ideal for a Sunday lunch before a walk. The host is worth the visit alone - jovial character will get rid of any morning blues. Food and beer very good. Well worth a visit. we will be back.

We booked a table online the day before going. 6 of us went for Sunday lunch, but they weren't expecting us. A table was available though.
Service to start with was only average, but we stayed for a few hours and service improved, and we were brought drinks when we wanted them rather than having to go to the bar. Staff were friendly.
Food was average, but at £9.95 for a Sunday roast it was in that part of London it was good value.

I think we must of caught this place on an off day. We were really looking forward to a tasty sunday lunch however we were the only ones in there. It's a shame as it's in a great location.
Food was dry so it was disappointing as we'd booked it on the strength of good reviews.

Great Pizza , we went before seeing a show at Regent's Park and had limited time. They were really quick and the pizza was delicious . The wine was very reasonable as well and the service was great.

They didn't have any record of our booking but thankfully it wasn't busy at 5.30pm (it was outside as it was lovely day). The waitress was very nice and helpful and attentive. The drinks were surprisingly expensive but we do live in Brighton so London prices are a bit of shock to our systems!
I ordered a gin and tonic and I was presented with 3 or 4 choices of gin so I thought I was going to get a really nice drink with lovely tonic in a nice glass like most pubs do nowadays, but it was just horrible semi flat tonic from a gun which drowned out the case of the gin. Thats just me being spoilt by all the lovely pubs in Brighton who all do amazing G & T's now, it seems to be the in thing.
The food was nice and came quickly as we were going to the theatre. I would definitely go there again if I was in the neighbourhood, its a beautiful building and the decor upstairs is lovely.
