Great food and staff

The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. The food however was only OK. Roast beef overcooked. Plates cold. All the food was tepid and the yorkshire pud was stone cold. Also, whilst red cabbage may be something served with turkey it is not something I'd expect or want with roast beef.
We won't be rushing back

I love the Woodman, it's round the corner from us so we're there all the time. The staff are always lovely and the food has always been really tasty - especially the pork belly roast! Plus their Happy Hour is such good value!

Great food hosted by lovely staff. We waited for a while for our food and they were so apologetic that they gave us a full refund for food and drinks! Would definitely recommend their service. We were on some uncomfortable backless bar stools for our 2 person table, so if you're booking, it may be worth specifying a table.

Very nice atmosphere, cosy decor and decent quality of food.

All the food was under cooked. ‘Chips’ were hard. On two sides of the pub there is building work. Sitting inside or out, it was like eating in a building site.

While not expensive at face value I can only say a restaurant is good value if the food is good. We had Sunday lunch and beef was fatty and sinewy, everything was luke warm bordering on cold. Very disappointing. That said big venue with good outdoor space and has potential and lovely staff. Subsequently spoke to a friend who had been there on a week night and again food disappointing.

Lovely place, I live locate abd will be coming back for sure!! Staff was great too.

Very helpful and friendly staff, especially Nina- she is an amazing and well educated girl.
I wasn't impressed by the chicken hamburger, but it was acceptable.

The drinks are a bit overpriced.

Our new local! Lived nearby for a while and never wondered in, quiz was fun, food amazing and staff were super lovely. Love the artwork round the pub and the interior comfy and modern.

Lovely lunch after not eating out for so long. We sat outside and it was very nice and the restaurant was very orderly with its one-way system and service.

We went on a Sunday lunchtime and one of the party had a roast which was enormous and very nice. The others had salads which were nice too. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. The new look Woodman is fabulous. Well done.

We sat closest to the speaker, which wasn't ideal, but we could still have a decent conversation. All the food was really good, especially the burgers. Affordable, good food and drinks!

Went during happy hour and excellent value for drinks! Didn’t eat but the food looked really tasty. There was a friendly atmosphere and everyone adhered to the social distancing rules. Will be going again!

Nice, relaxed pub lunch with my family - Anna was amazingly warm and welcoming, great with the kids and taking care of us for the day.

A good atmosphere with well separated indoor tables and lots of outside space. Great selection of beers and very good food. Well worth a visit.
