This was a surprise. The food was fabulous and a very good value, too. It felt like an adventure getting to this hidden place in the snowy woods. I would do this again.

Our party of four ordered three different entrées and three different appetizers, and we all were very pleased with our choices. The menu was varied enough to please almost everyone, and the selection was more than adequate. Portion sizes were perfect, and the food was fresh and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, the establishment suffered a power outage while we were half-way through our main courses, but the chef and her staff rose to the challenge, handing out extra candles and carrying on. Thank goodness for gas stoves! We look forward to our next visit to The Woods Lodge.

We really enjoyed our dinner at this beautiful location in Northfield, a gem nestled in the woods of Northfield. The bar area was warm and welcoming, while the dining room was elegant and peaceful. Don't be put off by the remote location -- it is worth the drive. The family welcomed us and served the food in a professional manner. Quiet jazz music accompanied our meal. The wine, the appetizers and the entrees were all delicious. We will go back!
