I wish I could recommend this place, but apparently it is no longer open. I showed up for my reservation and the gate was down, doors closed. The restaurant is no longer open.
I showed up to the restaurant for my five-person reservation, and it was closed! My reservation was not cancelled and I was not warned. Try finding dinner for 5 in Manhattan last minute! Terrible experience.
They were closed, no sign on the door or indicator of any kind as to why. Very disappointing.
Got there and they were closed! No warning, just closed
The food is great but I was super disappointed when I found out that they don’t serve the Gloria pizza for lunch (truffle pizza that’s amazing). I only kept the reservation for the points but I was also able to try the June and Sophia which were good!
Kind of self-serve and young vibe. Pizza was good. Drinks are sweet.
The service was beyond poor. First of all you order he food ag the bar.
The person who serves it just walks 10 feet and gives it to you. I asked for napkins and a fork and knive. I got cocktail napkins
I had to yell across the restaurant to get him to give us a box to take pizza home. I does not know how to say thanks nor you are welcome.
And because I had a pulsz coupon they add the gratuity themselves I believe 16 percent if not more.
Their service did not warrant a big tip.
Also did not like he fact they hold a credit card at the bar until payment
its a cute place, a fun twist on a pizza and drinks place. Pizza and salad were good, cocktails were okay, but very cute, tad expensive for what it is.. but then again, its soho. only one criticism.... my tab was $70... tipped $20 on my card... but the bartender must of thought she deserved more, because to my bank i spent a even $100.. so maybe use cash.
The restaurant was empty for most of our meal. We had to order food and drinks at the bar, which was strange service and they were out of two main brunch items. Overall the food was good, and the vibe was fun.
Cool vibes. It was a Tuesday night and there was only about a dozen people in the restaurant, but they still had the disco ball on and music blaring. Maybe that's more appropriate on a Thurs-Sat, but I couldn't really hear my partner sitting across the table from me. I wish they had read the room a bit better and toned it down for Tuesday. Felt a bit too clubby for pizza on a chill Tuesday.
Bought voucher through Pulsd. The Bellinis were Weak! Food was great! Nice atmosphere.
Bartender was quite distracted and seemed to have limited knowledge of what was in stock in terms of beer. She forgot half of our order and never checked in so we eat what we received and left. The pizza was quite tasty!
They didn’t have a table for us!!!
Restaurant showed as available and we booked it. But the hostess said there was no availability for our party and would not honor our reservation after we walked all the way there because it showed AVAILABLE. Offered to split into 2 tables but still nothing. I was extremely disappointed that a restaurant would not honor their open table reservation. This was unprofessional and I hope that Open Table will investigate to see if this is common occurrence at this restaurant.
You have to order at the bar but otherwise it was great
No table service. Obnoxiously loud music. Our table was harassed by a drunk patron but staff did nothing to resolve this. Would never go back; the exact opposite of the service you’d expect in this part of town. Go to Catch instead
It’s more of a bar style in the afternoon, order at the bar and they serve at your table. The decor was really nice. If you are looking for a conventional meal this is not the place but it is a great option for large groups.
Always a good time at The Woodstock. I see they've raised their price since first opening last Spring, but still not to bad. Love going with a big group and snagging the couches in the back! Would recommend to everyone.
The drinks are pretty great don't get me wrong. Very unique and well-balanced.
I ordered the Pretty Woman and Light My fire (pretty strong this one) and my date had the moby dick.
The pizzas weren't too great. We had a margherita and my date wound up falling sick after.
I had the Audrey, which had waay too much arugula. I didn't enjoy the pizza at all. The prosciutto strong in taste and the parmesan grating on top did not help. It felt very overwhelming. I had to drop most of the arugula from my pizza to be able to eat it.
It is fun for a girls night out perhaps I did see that appeal. The music is good and they opened up a small dance area later into the night. Wouldn't recommend for a date night though.
All around terrible experience. No table service (order food and drinks from bar). Couldn’t talk as the DJ was blasting music as loud as possible. Just weird vibes as well. Avoid eating there.
I made a reservation for 8 and was given a table for 6 and was told this is all I would get given I only made my reservation 2 hours prior. (hmm, maybe you shouldn't have accepted a reservation for 8 when you knowingly did not have the space available.) When I asked the hostess if we could have additional seating he said "no this is what you get" and was extremely rude from the time we walked in the door. Overall I would say I had far less than a pleasant experience at the Woodstock and will not be returning.
3.5 - 4 /5 Stars - Really cool place, good brick oven pizzas, unique craft cocktails, but not the best service setup/friendliest workers. They have really unique pizzas: some with truffle, hazelnuts, grapes, assorted cured meats, etc and I recommend trying them all. The drinks are awesome as well- well made and served in cool glasses like a light bulb or fish-shaped glass. There are tables you can sit at and reserve, however there is no actual waiter/waitress service. You have to go up and order from the bar, and while it's efficient and pizzas come out fast, the bartenders are not the friendliest and seem super busy/overwhelmed when it's not even crowded and not very interested in taking your pizza order. I understand that this is the Meatpacking District, its a pricier, trendier place, and they're known for making unique craft cocktails, but there needs to be a bit more order/perhaps someone who's main role is helping the seated diners and taking their food/drink orders. One woman was helpful, but it took every bartender looking up at us, and then looking away and doing something else instead, waiting for someone else to help us, until she took our order and got us all set up.
Pizzas and drinks are good at a reasonable price. Attitude of personnel is a weak (specially those serving at the bar). We redeemed a Pulsd voucher with no problem at all.
The restaurant is 60's themed, with all of their cocktails and pizzas named after 60's songs/stars. The ambiance is also unique with a back area that looks like a 60's living room. However, the one thing that I feel they do wrong is that, despite the restaurant being 60's themed, the music being played by their DJ was rap music. It really took away from their whole theme. Additionally, while the drinks were amazing and the pizzas were very good, they were out of the one pizza that was the reason we chose to go there; so that was disappointing. Overall, a unique restaurant which would be even more unique if they stuck to their 60's theme by playing 60's music.
Loved this place. Atmosphere was great, pizza and drinks were so good and fun! Service was AWFUL, people behind the bar were very rude! I’ll chalk it up to the fact that it was so hot due to AC being broken! Overall a good experience! Would go back!
Bar tender was great
The pizza is amazing good, the vibe is 60s fabulous, and the drinks are, well, just really fun.
Came for a birthday, pizzas and fun cocktails. It is really nice that they let you reserve tables because it got noisy but we still had to order at the bar and food was brought table side. Good pizzas for sharing.
Music was too loud - bass way too loud. Also, don’t like the fact you have to order everything from the bar. Pizza was very good .
Didn’t realize you don’t get a server and you have to go to back and forth to the bar. There was one bartender and so it took a little too long to even get water. The bartender wasn’t very friendly and seemed impatient when ordering. BESIDES that, the pizza was good. Cool casual 60s vibe
Awesome pizza and great vibes! Good spot for groups, and drinks before heading out!
Enjoyed the energy, and the cocktails... it was good pizza and friendly service at the bar. I was a little uncertain how the place was working, because it was not so clear that no table service was offered?
Client complained it was too loud and the "music was outdated but the drinks were spectacular and the pizza was excellent. Overall a very cute space and I'm sure I'll be back!"
We had so much fun at this new neighborhood spot--cocktails are fun and the ambiance was a super blend of inviting and festive. Can't wait to head back.
