Had an Amazing roast at the Woolpack, cosy pub, great service, just what was needed on an autumnal afternoon. Highly recommend
This is a nice traditional, very old pub. The food is good pub food with vegetarian options. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service charming.
Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food.
We found the food expensive, four items that we ordered including the wine were not available and the gypsy tart was hard and tastless and at £7.00 was poor.
The staff were lovely and the apartment we had was nice although has loads of stairs not for the older person. It's a shame but we would not rush back as the food let it down.
We booked last minute after seeing the Salmon Waldorf salad on the menu and it was really good. We had a really good meal it’s just a pity it was not busier but if we were here longer we would be back
Everything was very good but I only gave 4 stars for overall because I don’t approve of dogs in an eating area and there were 2 near me. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend it.
Adequate service - pleasant starters, but the main course was dismal - especially considering the price! The roast potatoes were barely warm, the vegetables looked and tasted like they had been cooked considerably earlier and were very unappetising. The green veg dish was barely warm and meagre. The vegetarian option looked like it had been kept warm all day, but tasted vaguely better. Definitely will not be high on our list for a return meal!
Good menu. Lovely roasts. Warm service. Very dog friendly. Recommend heartily.
Good pub food and attentive service. Nice ambience - better than the very noisy pub down the road!
Friendly hosts. Lovely atmosphere. Delicious good with a creative and interesting menu.
We had a lovely evening dining at the Woolpack Inn. The wine list was extensive with an option to suit every budget. Starter/Small plate was amazing, I had the pulled pork taco and my wife had the pork belly. Both dishes blew our taste buds, absolutely delicious. Main menu had lots of options, again it was delicious. I had the burger and my partner the fish and chips. Dessert menu was abit of a let down, I went for the blueberry and candy bacon sundae which wasn’t to my taste but whatever floats your boat! We’ll definitely be back.
Reasonable selection for veggies. Lovely wine selection.
Excellent service, quite a limited menu as several options were not available although was we did choose was excellent quality
Very friendly staff who seem invested in your having a great experience, very nice food - overall a really enjoyable night out. If I were staying in town a little longer, I’d definitely go back.
Very disappointed with our lunch! The lamb rump was inedible, however we were refunded for both meals!
A special occasion let down !
Did the Chef have a day off? ???
Lovely outside area for dining, with children’s climbing area to keep them entertained. Great quality food and service.
Staff were brilliant. Ambience brilliant. Mains and choice of wine brilliant. Desserts were disappointing. The affogatos were not good. I would suggest serving the espresso in a small jug separately over the ice cream
. The Victoria sponge sundae was lacking fruit and substituted with fruit syrup. Sort the desserts out and it would be five stars all round. All said we would definetly return. Thankyou for a good evening.
Birthday celebration and the food service and ambience was up to expectations with wine matched clurses
Staff exceptionally friendly, attentive & efficient. Food was incredible!!!! Will be going back. Food was exceptionally good value. See you soon!
Been here twice recently and absolutely loved it, this time, well beer not good food atrocious, can only assume different staff and chefs work different nights, such a ashame as just started loving this place.
Food was very good and lovely service. We had a rather loud diner next to us but that was hardly the fault of the venue.
Great atmosphere in this historic pub in the heart of Tenterden. Great beer and wine and the food was fine. Our dog was made very welcome and all in all this is a pub we come back to time after time. No hesitation in highly recommending it.
Great food and service! Just a shame it wasn’t very busy for the atmosphere.
A great place to eat and drink. The only problem on this occasion was that the wrong meals were delivered to two of us and whilst this was efficiently rectified it did mean we had a staggered lunch. The food and the overall experience were very good and we will be back.
The food served in the restaurant is top quality with a varied choice - classics plus specials - fantastic chef - everything served was delicious.
Fantastic food, great service and lovely wines. Thank you.
Steaks were perfectly cooked. Asked for medium rare and that’s exactly what I got. Good flavour, quality meat and cooked well.
Overall very nice,
Limited menu but good quality food. Fish and Chips are delicious and the curry sauce is a great touch. Lovely building.
Great food, great service, lovely interior with a nice pub garden too. Would definitely recommend.
Very attentive staff. Lovely food. One our best local pub restaurants.
Seamless change of management.
Went for mums Birthday, shared a mixture of the starters with a bread board and the 'Aspen Chips'! All tasted awesome and presentation was on point.
Cannot fault Balfour wine selection either....however only thing is, the mains menu is fairly 'heavy' for a summer lunchtime.
There have been big changes since my last visit and all of them wonderful! The food was excellent, as was the service. The garden area was a well-thought out pleasure and a true gem in such a popular town environment. Can’t wait to go back!
Felt the menu selection and overall meal didn’t meet the expectations I was hoping for after looking at your photos and reviews.
Lamb main course was very average sadly. Fish and chips well presented, but chips were poor. Woolly burger looked good and was as expected but a very large meal! Several things were off the menu.
The Victoria sponge desert was more like you’d expect in average chain restaurant served in tall large Sunday glass rather than expected as a light addition after a heavy meal.
We had a lovely afternoon eating and drinking in the garden. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
The staff were FANTASTIC and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!
Fabulous food especially the Sunday roast & great staff
Lovely old pub, good food, good ale, friendly staff, hopefully going for Christmas dinner 🤞🏻
The staff at the Woolpack were very accommodating. The food was excellent and the price very reasonable.
Will definitely be going back after this lockdown
Lovely meal, service was brilliant considering our fussiness.
Will def book again and recommend.
