Great welcome. Good staff and excellent service helped to make this an evening to remember. There was a shanty singing group which topped off a great visit.

On arrival the pub was busy with locals all gathered around the bar which was a bit intimidating but the bar maid was lovely We were seated in a quiet corner and was amazed with the choice of food we were a little concerned that the food wouldn’t be good as the price was reasonable but when we received our food it was brilliant all of my family thoroughly enjoyed their food and if anything eyes were bigger than belly because we couldn’t finish it all! Truly great food for the price we will be returning again!

It was a 45 minutes in and out experience. Food was served in 5 minutes after being ordered. Microwaved (fish cake) and deep fried (chicken schnitzel, still dripping with oil). One poor fish cake (which I still could taste after 10 hours, so lucky after all that it was just one) accompanied by a salad consisting of spinach leaves, 2 small tomatoes and salad sauce from a bottle. The chips were okay. Food prepared without any love. And that costs £ 28!

Came for a meal after a recommendation. Burgers were luke warm, brioche buns burnt. Ordered puddings waited over 30 minutes and no puddings. Went to bar to ask and noticed no one in the kitchen, so we would have been waiting a long time for our puddings. Refund provided, from this experience and with the island having lots of other choices to eat out, I will not be returning to or recommending this pub. Plates weren't collected even though pub wasn't busy. Mens toilets had no toilet roll and urinal was leaking.
